Spring: pretty OK, but it rains quite a bit. Summer: amazing with very comfortable temperatures. Fall: rains, and days are short. Winter: pretty much constant darkness with only a few hours a day of sun. You'll find the weather depressing unless you adapt the Norwegian way of dealing with it: sit inside and have a good time with friends (commonly called "kos" - having a good time sort of).
all your contributions are written as if you’re reading my mind.you got this on spot on!...I personal HATE winter here, it’s depressing. Thanks to YouTube, my number 1 companion grin

Indeed. Many are told that Norwegians excell at speaking English. This is true for the most part, but this doesn't mean that's what they prefer speaking. I was at a party once with this exchange student fromt Finland. The guy didn't know a single word in Norwegian, and despite the host's attempt to get people to speak English only, everyone continued to speak Norwegian to the student's dismay.

That's essentially what you can expect in everyday life as well with no skills in the language. You'll feel disintegrated and not a part of the community. English won't keep you floating at all.

express entry doesn't respect your country of residence...as in the rules are the same for everyone. Just ensure you are legally living wherever you are, that's it and commit the rest in the hands of your God while you do everything legitimately...
. Yeah, I’m not saying they would relax the rules for people in Europe , I only mean the response time for each stages . I’m asking if it’s faster to get responses because there are far fewer people applying unlike Nigeria where they have to deal with lots of application.

Hello house , is there anyone who had completed this express entry thing from start to finish from Europe, if yes, did it take all this time I’m reading here? Kind share your experience with respect to timeline of events .

Yes. 20 hours a week (as is allowed) will yield more than 100k (around 120-130k would be my guess with an average hourly wage).

Getting a job isn't that difficult if you can speak and write Norwegian. If you don't speak Norwegian then you'll have a tough time finding someone willing to hire you.

This last sentence/statement is very very very true . Prospective applicants should note this.

Goodday good people, please I'm new here and I av loads of questions. Would be glad if I can get genuine response, 1st my friend said the 5.5m I will be paying still remains mine.can somebody please explain this

When you’re offered admission, you’ll be required to send that money to the school, they will send you a receipt which you would use to apply for your visa, when you get to norway and open a bank account the school would then transfer the money back to you. From there you can do whatever you like with it.

Dont have a first choice and it depends on price and where I am going. If I was going to Europe, I wouldn't take emirate as a first choice, knowing Dubai is farther to Europe than Istanbul. Then talking of Asia, you have 3 choices: Qatar, Etihad and Emirate. Don't think anyone will fly Emirste is Qatar was cheaper on the same route and time, that beats the assumption of a first choice.

And if my most used airline is a partner to other ones, so I can get my miles!

True , valid points

And who " recommended" that Emirate is the first choice to fly with ?
lol I think that’s her opinion, please tell us yours , which airline is the first choice to fly with?

Go do registry stuff. Or do u have legal documents on the common-law thingy?
no I don’t have any document yet but I wanna know the procedure. Although I thought the reason it’s called common-law is because it’s not registered

In the spirit of celebration, I would like to ask a question.

Please does any one know any one who has successfully gotten PPR with a common-law relationship status? Or can you share one or two infos about it.

Responses would be highly appreciated

Uchboggy,

Sorry to hear you passing through this right now. The link is opening from my end, I wonder why it's not working over there with you. Try it this way:
https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en.

Also, be guided that when using the above link, you will need someone who is legally residing in Canada be it a citizenship of Canada, student, permanent resident or a visitor before you can be able to order for this GCMS NOTE. You will further need the person's mailing address, phone number, email address. At the end, you're expected to sign the consent form, authorizing this person to order for the note on your behalf. OR better still, get the person's details, then complete payment using your naira Master Card from Nigeria.

All the best!
thanks bro

Good day Uchboggy,

Sorry for the denial,

Through your profile on her application, did the sponsor show like commitment to her by paying her tuition fees as always advice..Because I believe both of you applied together and your response came before hers, which shows something stronger may have hampered with her application .What was the reason for her rejection?
No o, it was only my girlfriend that applied. And Sponsor didn’t show any commitment

Uchboggy,

Are you sure you tried the quoted text with links and you didn't get what you seek? (GCMS). Well, that's the authorized link for ordering GCMS NOTE as instructed by the moderator of this reputable thread.
yes sir, trust me I couldn’t make anything of the links, please try click them. I’ll appreci if you explain better to me if you can, thanks

Frankrobbn1:

tonnymexx,

Sorry for the outcome of your application. It's never the end of the world OKay! Do yourself a favor by making use of the below link to see reasons behind your refusal grounds.
YOUR REFUSAL GROUNDS

More so, use this authorized link by the moderator of this reputable thread to order for your GCMS notes.
ORDER YOUR GCMS NOTE

From the look of things your SOP was weak and your motivation to undertake your proposed program in Canada doesn't appear reasonable to why you should incur such huge sum for a program that is available in your home country. The Visa officer needs an explanation to why you're going for a program in Canada rather than Nigeria, the lucrativeness of undertaking such a program in Canada, the range of career options available in Nigeria after successful completion of this program in Canada. Go further by explaining your home ties, what can compel your return back home. As stated earlier by you that your father owns a business, you can tell the visa officer that as one of the son's or being the first son of your father as the case maybe, that you're bond to return to your home country as its your responsibility to take up this family business. Be guided that your proposed course of study must not be in direct collaboration with the type or nature of business your father specialize in Nigeria. Explain the aforementioned points on your SOP and present them in a justifiable manner, you will get it this time.

You're also expected to get an updated bank statement because the previous one you used for your last application has expired.

Lastly, travel history is not a factual reason for a refusal. Once you are able to carefully tackle other refusal grounds, travel history will be automatically waived for you.

It will end in praises in your next application.

Hi gurus, my girlfriend was finally rejected Visa.

Applied on May 26th online and she got closure on 26th July . She has applied for admission differal which was granted today,

The problem is that we want to order the gcms note so we know exactly what we did wrong or were we can improve on the next application BUT I don’t know how exact to go about it . Even the quoted text with links didn’t help .

Can someone please assist with exact steps, costs and timespan involved in ordering the gcms note?
Plsssssssssss

Hello all, I was told to make my payment on or before 31st of May, 2018 in NTNU. I do not think I can meet up with the deadline. Can I still make the payment in the second week of June? Has anyone done this before? Please, I need a swift and kind reply. Thank you.
i dont know of anyone who has done this but all i know is that you have to inform them of your plans with reasons. Norwegians are very considerate. they would agree if your reason is good and the request is within their power.

What privacy? Are you kidding me? You submitted every single info about you to the embassy AND signed a disclaimer that the info you submitted is genuine and true then the embassy called the bank to verify the same info you have given them and you called that breach of privacy?

What planet are you from?

. I don’t intend to drag this issue , I will just make this point and move on, I have worked several years in a bank before like I said , it’s still a breach of privacy, the business is between me and my bank and me and embassy not embassy and my bank. I printed the statement signed and authorized by my bank, they can only ask my bank if the they actually authorized that statement of account or not. If the bank says yes they did they should be able to trust what they see there.

So why is it a breach of privacy if I give my statement of account to a client to bid for a contract and he goes to the bank to ask about specific transactions or details and the bank obliges ? ?

I think we need to know this, so we can start to sue our banks for breach of privacy. Why would a bank disclose my balance to any organization, except law enforcement agencies?
exactly my point

It's fraud because you deliberately lied to the embassy that you have money for the student visa to be used in Canada while in reality you have withdrawn the money. It's called misrepresentation and it carries 5yrs ban.

Lol this is funny though, I withdrew the money doesn’t mean I don’t have it, or I spent it, what if I like to keep my money in cash or I bought treasury bills or bitcoins or something else. Well , you have the powers so we play by your rules
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Uchboggy(m): 8:58am On May 27, 2018

The only reason why people want to know if embassies verify bank account is because they want to commit fraud.

This thread will not be used to share such information, if you submitted genuine bank statement and not planning to withdraw the money after submitting your application then you have no need to come here to ask such question.
but what is wrong with people knowing if they can withdraw their money after submission of application or not? What’s fraud about that?
