Car Talk › Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Uchboggy(m): 7:11am On Jul 20, 2016 |
Good day house,
I just bought a C320 2005 model from a friend. This is my first car ironically. I am so naive I have never used a car before talkless of Benz.
I would like to ask some questions.
1. Where can one check for oil level in the car or dash board. 2. Where can one topup coolant(not water) in the car? Or how often do I have to top up the water on average? 3.what other things do I need to know about maintenance? |

Also I heard from an unconfirmed source that some regret mails were sent that Thursday. Who can confirm this please? |

NPComplete: The petroleum downstream sector at the moment constitutes an oligopoly; a cartel, to be precise. Left to their own, they would devise ever unscrupulous means to rip off the rest of us and sooner we'll be having to acquire their products at ludicrous prices. What the government has done is to set an upper limit for the price, set no lower limit whatsoever and throw open the rights to import fuel to any Nigerian company. This should ensure that more people go into the business freely thus morphing the downstream sector towards a perfect competition that will inadvertently drive pump prices down in the long run. Now whether or not this strategy will work in a country that consistently defies economic theories remains moot. You said it all, that last paragraph is my fear, all stations have already stuck with the upper limit which is the first sign that it might not work |

Dfavouredone: Risk management is an important aspect of life.
Whether it is this month or not, NLNG will surely call one day. To reduce the risk of losing out completely if you aren't call, I will advise potential GTs to find some other potential GTs in the recruitment process to negotiate and sign a "minimum damage agreement" (MDA).
MDA is just a legally signed agreement that if I am call and employ and u weren't call , I will give a certain percent (maybe 10%) of my pay for certain period (maybe 1 year) and vice versa.
And if both of them are called or if none of the them in the agreement are called, then nobody pays anybody.
A pretty way to ensure you gain something no matter how the die is toss.

Anybody interested in the proposal and sealing a MDA agreement? Well thought out,am in if anyone is serious about this |

adob116: I can't recall if its artmedia. But someone once said that NLNG is not holding anyone against his will. I agree with the person. I wish I could just ignore them till they finally come calling. I wish the lengthy recruitment process is not affecting my decisions. I am also one of those that believe irrespective of the final number I will be among the chosen. However, I have also realised that it is not a sign of lack of faith to start taking those key decisions that will help improve my life. Whether it is going to another country or spending the money to take those certification exams that might not be relevant to NLNG...we all need to start moving forward.
So, I will keep occupying and moving forward...thatz how I'm gonna wait. you've said it all |

dane15: Egbon DWAY4WARD, if you read the post well, you will see that no one asked for specifics. You will also see that the post is in response to Baba Addict's comment where he asked us to squeeze Kaitung and I explained why he will be in a better position to do so and how he can revert if he chooses to do so.
Finally, he mentioned something referring to phasing of the recruitment. If you observe there was nothing too plain or specific in my message and you would have seen that I have a possible range of dates in mind myself. If I get something more detailed...nothing spoil.
Maybe, you posted this bullet because I mentioned ur moniker, I apologize greatly but my respect for you dropped a metre when you indiscreetly said "let's be smart and not ask for specifics".
I only wanted to confirm how you arrived at a particular conclusion. . And who said he was referring to you? It was a generic statement please bros Try not to start another tension here please |

genbaks: Thanks for d info bro... Is it plus d allowance inclusive or just d basic salary. Thanks In anticipation.. pardon my inquisitive nature though just trying to be enlightened by a fellow nairalander a matured one at dat like I said in the comment above this, at this stage you're a contract staff so there is no allowance whatsoever attached to this 58k or 64k as the case may be. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How Much Does An Entry Level Graduate(teller) At UNITY Bank Earn? by Uchboggy(m): 9:02pm On Feb 21, 2016 |
ignis: Is this for contract staff or entry level? In the bank in question you must start your career as contract staff(whether bsc or HND or OND) doing mostly tellering (thats where the above pay structure applies)then be converted to a core staff after a year or more depending on availability of vacancies then you now earn the normal core bankers salary which isn't bad at all. |

prelinctus: This so called 'regret mail' was probably sent to less than 5% of AC participants, so y'all shouldn't get carried away. They probably performed way way below the least acceptable cut-off, so they stood no chance. honestly he has a point but I think he didnt relay it well. |
