moneygurl: According to a source, Bankole’s decision to fly commercial plane was informed by the need to feel the pains passengers go through, especially following a groundswell of complains of passengers against flight delays, cancellations and over-booking.[/b] Does this mean that he has never travelled via commercial planes before? What does he mean that he wants to feel the pains |

m_nwankwo: . In future, I do not think that is feasible to generate artificial blood from precursors that have no direct bearing with the natural blood. Hmmm, is that true The technology to de-differentiate already differentiated cells and then re-direct them to a different cell type is already out there. Cant that be adapted and optimised in making hematopoeitic cells |

Christianity Etc › Re: Would You Accept A Blood Transfusion Against Your Religious Belief? by Uche2nna(m): 5:53pm On May 29, 2009 |
huxley2: I agree it is a MIGHTY challenge to artificially replace what the blood of the body does naturally. But remember, blood is only a transport medium, albeit a VERY important one. I do not think is performs any regulatory functions ( I stand corrected). Other organs secrete substances into the blood which then carries them to their site of activity. Its function is simply mechanical, so in principle there is no reason why it could not be artificial created. The challenges fo achieving this are technological. Remember, the same sort of argument used to be said of the heart, but today heart replacements are possible in many different forms.
This only makes it worse. It shows what a crazy bundle of contradiction and confusion the bible is. It says one thing on one page and several pages later says the direct opposite. Which of these two passages takes precedence and why? That is what I would like to know. Think homeostasis,,,,,,, U can google that up like U always do. |

noetic2: What is the scientific evidence for the non-existence of GOD?
What is the intellectual analyses/evidence that suggests the non-existence of GOD? Simply put, there is none. Actually , what science has really done in the past few years is to make Darwin's theory of evolution look like a joke. Anybody that has a little itty bitty knowledge of Molecular Biology and/or Paleontology would know this. The more science digs into the origin of the earth , the more the concept of an intelligent designer becomes more appealing even to the unbeliever. |

mi2009: from all the negative responses. no wonder this post views naija men in a bad light. people never post anythng positve. Thats what U do expect whenever U bring up an issue like this and most of the posters are of femine persuasion. If I started a thread like this about a girl asking to leave stuff in ma crib after TWO YEARS of dating, be rest assured that the males here would scream blue murder. Thats the way it is , this is not abouty nationality, my dear. U know ur man and the relationship U have with him better than we do here and would be in a stronger position to assess his motives better than us. All we know is that the guy is Nigerian and peeps here would be very quick to get to a pigeon-holed conclusion. |
