The most important thing is to pray. The bible says a thousand will fall at your side ten thousand at your right side but they wont come near you. Another key thing is to make your peace with your creator before boarding any air craft.

Music/Radio › Re: American Artist Over Charging In Africa? by uchetobi(f): 12:06pm On Oct 19, 2006
• at the end tickets were still sold for 10,00 naira but that is by the way. I think the price was high to keep out area boys and hoodlums who usually take charge of such shows; raping girls, stealing things and harassing people generally. This has always been the trend at shows in lagos. What is the use of paying a reduced rate and you can’t enjoy it? So I think the concept was to give people who could afford it value for their money.
Also, my friends in the states said its very rare to see that much number of stars performing at the same show. So there Is no way it was going to be cheap. Nigerians are not poor judging by the crowd present at the two shows. Please note I was not an organizer; these are just my views

Personally, for me we are nearing the end. Because when he is asking me out, he cant forget. It shows he is relaxing and the whole thing is wearing off. He has to come up with a real good explanation and at that I’l spark so it wont happen again. One truth about men. If u allow them a step they’l take a mile. Like my dad always forgets my mum’s birthday and attributes it to stress. I told her its because she tolerates it. All theseguys they wont find it funny o if you forget theirs. Take it from me.
Anyways people have broken up for less
Career › Re: Age Barriers To Graduate Employment In Nigeria by uchetobi(f): 12:30pm On Oct 13, 2006
Well I think everybody should be thinking of entrepreneurship at one time or the other in the course of life. Are u going 2 die working 4 somebody? It’s a rat race really. And 1 day u’ll wake up, get to work and c a letter saying ur services are no longer needed. Wat do u do? Ur efforts? Time etc amounts to nothing. Will u kill d MD? We don’t have to learn from experience. Learn by watching others. At 40 should we should all aim to be job givers not job seekers. Its just my humble opinion anyways 2 things if u are working for someone or some organization. Plan well, pray well and keep ur ears open for opportunities. Be bold to take risks.
About the issue of age barrier its unfortunate but its true. Wat do u do then? Jump into the lake? Have a business plan for your life, set goals, document them. You will achieve. You will be surprised what u could do for yourself with a little amount of money. You don’t have to wait till you are a billionaire.
Cheers

Politics › Re: Why Is Nigeria Not Working? by uchetobi(f): 9:21am On Oct 13, 2006
I think we should all work on ourself. Strife to live a fufilled life, a purpose driven life, strife for satisfaction in your day to day life. Make the system work for you. If you are working then from your perspective Nigeria will be working
P.s Say a prayer for Nigeria

Education › Re: Bowen University, Iwo Hints & Tales Wanted by uchetobi(f): 4:53pm On Oct 11, 2006
Ok y’all I’ve finished from the school. Though the day we wrote our final papers you could see signed quotes on people’s clothes such as ‘ caged 2002, freed 2006’ ‘mobolowowan’ etc but when it comes down to dirty we all admitted we will miss the school. I agree it wasn’t easy but it was worth it. You need to know that Bowen students are hot in the labor market. Ive not served but am working at a good place with a good salary. You wont believe it. Just make sure you pay attention to your studies. Don’t forget that’s your primary aim of being there. Try to make a 2.1 so you wont have limitations. Also don’t dull yourself. There are ways of catching your trips even in the convent. Also as per the BSF thing you need God no doubt but truthfully thru out my 400 level. I never attended Wednesday chapel except once in July. There are ways to do all these. Just stay in your room, lock the door and be quiet; sleep or read or something.
Cheers
Take it from me time flies and it’s easier, much easier to be in school than to be in the labor market.

What do Nigerians read and do Nigerians read are 2 different questions? Of course Nigerians read and what we read is our business really. I consider myself to be an average Nigerian and I read an average of 4 books per week. I read anything and everything from Romance to bible to motivational books to bestsellers to business book. Anything goes
