Utter buffonry. Why does a forum made up of only five men need a director general and administrative staff? What are they administering? You already have a chairman of the forum and the secretary... What are you doing with a director general? In a five man forum? What exactly will he be directing? 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: Obiano Tours First Ultra Modern 24/7 Filling Station In Anambra (photos) by ugojamali(m): 3:47pm On Apr 18, 2017 |
First, this is a nice investment by someone. The state government didn't fund this therefore they should not receive any glory. I've read arguments and having lived in Awka, I have to say this: Obiano has done good with the many things he has done so far. Could he have done better? Certainly yes. But he has not done poorly. However there remain bad spots in Awka. Like someone pointed out, the core villages that make up Awka have been neglected. The roads there are too narrow. Fault does not totally lie with the government as Awka people are somewhat against Awka's development. In order to rebuild Awka, properties would have to be demolished. Unlike Lagos, that would be very difficult. But government is also at fault in many places. Consider Ifite road to Unizik. That road has been terrible for years. Only recently they decided to, after years to cries, to fix it up and their progress is ridiculously slow. There are other places like that. What government needs to do is fix and maintain Awka roads, that's all. Awka is already blessed with willing investors. Government needs to do it's part. 1 Like |

Art, Graphics & Video / Re: Kazuna Cobal'ts 3D Portfolio by ugojamali(m): 6:10am On May 01, 2016 |
kazuna: I did that skin shader recently when I discovered VRay Renderer. I could never do it on mental ray and other renderers. It's all an action of sub surface scattering, lowering the diffuse strength( full diffuse strength made him lighter), introducing the bump from the texture file. It involved a lot of testing and tweaking. For example I had to tweak the SSS amount and color for a while. Certain amounts tend to make him fairer. I just looked for the right one to work with. I don't know if there's a crowd simulation plugin for blender. I use Golaem plugin for Maya. Just got it last March so I'm still trying to learn most of it. The way it works is... If you can model like 5 characters with Jerry cans, rig and create a few random chase animations, you can then rebuild the entire process in Golaem and randomize movements, cloth colors to make hundreds and even thousands depending on computing power. Right now, I'm working on creating hell. I'll share shots with you as I go along. Expect my call soon. I got your number. Thanks bro. |

Character render with SSS and bump mapping for better quality. VRAY render.

I like what you've done so far. Room for improvement but great with through and through. I'm a 3D artist too but focus on visual effects, environmental design, crowd simulation and rendering. I work mostly with Maya. I've done a bit of character design but not my strong suit. Do I mostly work with custom characters exported as fbx to Maya. Been a mental ray enthusiast but I'm switching over to VRay for character rendering cos it gives me way better SSS. I also work well with FumeFX, Pulldown it, Golaem Crowd, Real Flow, those are all plugins for simulating visual effects and crowd animation. For example, I could create the fire for your dragon. I wouldn't mind working with you on a future production project. Drop me your email if you're interested. I'm planning to make a zombie movie and would like a diverse range of zombies, both male and female. I'll need models and textures. I'll then rig and animate in Maya then simulate the crowd of rampaging zombies. It will be a part CGI and part live action feature. Low budget but not free. Check out a few of my renders below.

Romance / Re: See The Difference Between Dating A Boy And Dating A Man by ugojamali(m): 11:55pm On Mar 01, 2016 |
There's a boy in every man and there's a man in every boy. It takes a woman or a girl to bring out the best of worst in men. If a man meets a gal, then trust me baes, that supposedly real man will turn to a boy and treat that woman like shit. I know that, because I've met many girls, beautiful looks but lacking in brains and maturity. I've also met a few women that I treated like equal and will forever hold them in the highest esteem. It just simply takes one to find one. So be a real woman and you'll meet men. Be a girl and you'll meet boys. 11 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Senate Orders Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission To Suspend 40% Hike by ugojamali(m): 7:27pm On Feb 16, 2016 |
I have seen condemnation of this Senate action by a few. And from what I understand, they are the minority few that are privileged to have metered connections so their bills are cheap. Unfortunately for a large majority of Nigerians including me, what we get are estimated bills. I pay nearly 6000 naira monthly in Anambra state. The light is decent but not fantastic lately. It used to be but things have gotten quite bad. Regardless of supply, we get a minimum of 5k bill per flat. If I calculate what I will pay now with the new tariff, it will be close to 8K instead of 6K, or almost 6K instead of 5K depending on the estimate EEDC decides on for the month. Nobody actually complains about the increment. Personally, if I was asked to pay 15K monthly for steady power supply (at least a guaranteed 20 hours daily) I would gladly do you. But I would frown at an increment, no metered connection and dwindling supply. Cos then I'll ask... Wtf am I paying for? Please let the power companies borrow money, fix supply then if they like, they can increase it to 100 percent. Nigerians will pay if only they'll get value for their money. 1 Like |
