The citizens of Canada, US, Australia, UK and all developed nations ain't the best, but trust me, their system works.. A system that guarantees you safety, you can literally see your tax working, once you falter, the hands of the law catches up with you regardless of your status, human lives are valued, leaders are held accountable, justice takes its course no matter how lengthy...

These societies aren't perfect and can never be but bro, their system works...All these talk about staying back & making your country better are mere wishes which won't come to pass because the country is degenerating by the day while other parts of the world are working tirelessly to be at the top of the rung.
You haven't asked yourself why very skilled Nigerians excel extremely once they leave the shores of this dream killing nation? Because that environment can dig out the best part of you that this nation has been suppressing. But over here, every thing works against your upward movement in life and the worst and most agonizing part of it all is that we are damn religiously stupid and backward, constantly praying to God to fix our human needs that our taxes are supposed to fix. I imagine him laughing when Nigerian utter such prayers

Lastly, what's your definition of scarce resources...just bear it in mind that most of these Nigerians that migrate especially the skilled/professional ones contribute immensely to the economic growth of these nations and in return, they are duly rewarded and honored for their labor, so they aren't like your black skinned so called South African brothers who are scared of your success.

After 60 years of independent, how far has Nigeria developed as a country with $100 billion in debt on a $30 bn budget, the country is virtually on its knee's. This reminds me of when I was still in the streets. No one was a better thief and drug dealer. I operated between India, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Running deals with Afghan warlord and Pashtun Sheikhs. After going to jail in India for 7 years, I returned back to my country to enjoy the fruits of my labor. After escaping justice for years, I am now a pastor, though I still have sleepless nights whenever I remember the dread in the eyes of traitors before I.......... Terrible. Forget societal pressure nonsense, have a kid only when you can afford to raise one. No one will take up your responsibilities because you are following African norms. I have been married for more than a year, we not not ready for a baby yet. No one has the right to pressure you into raising kids. Let's stop all this African mindset that has taking us backwards.

I will always advice to wait at least a year before tryimg for kids. Not so as to "sexually enjoy each other " but so as to get to know each other. No family, no extras, no one but you both. Then you know who the other person really is.

I miss those early days.

We could just get up and go on a night out. Go to the movies. Dinner. Go to a concert. Take a weekend off just like that. We could go visit friends whenever we wanted and if the traffic got too bad, we go to a hotel somewhere for the night.

And yes the sex. Palour, kitchen, bathroom, any room.

I miss those days. Now everything is "where are the kids?" "Where do we keep the kids?" "The kids can't go there" "We have to hurry to pick up the kids" and of course "not so loud. You'll wake the kids up!!!"

I miss those early days.

Either way, I am guessing that Ivory Coast might still have a better environment for people to create and do businesses than Nigeria though.

Mandela should have embraced apartheid. Reverend Martin Luther King should have kept quiet about segregation . Humans usually lack the capacity of thinking through medium-term and long-term implications of social media-inspired decision-making. Her career in that area is over. It would be stupid to put her in the field again and the BBC are not that stupid.

What was she thinking? That her revelations would impact Nigeria positively in the long-term? Or medium-term? That is funny. Let us be realistic. After the storm that would last for a couple of weeks, the sex-for-grades occurence will come back to normal. That was the same with the video of Gandollars packing wads of dollars in his Babariga. Same with the revelations on codiene, it is still consumed as drugs in the North. This is Nigeria. Nigerians move on easily and there are no institutional changes to effect a medium-term impact let alone long-term.
