winj3: I have tried and if I continue to try it on people like you it will not work. Go ask colonizers, expatriates, foreign visitors how difficult it is to teach Nigerians commonsense! You can take apes to library but you cannot make them understand!
Nigerians are exposed to TV, radio, foreign education, skills and knowledge transfer - but they are still stupid! it's the cultural shackles that they still hold on to and have refused to break that is killing them. No matter of exposure can cure that |

By d way how many Nigerians can afford a local flight.....i just pity u Life is good for many of us... But in my own case, I cannot pretend that because life is good for me, and I can afford certain things, that is the case for most of the citizens in Nigeria it's HELL Children that should br in school are out there hawking with theur parents to make ends meet. they have to do that everyday so that they can get by with the daily margins that they make from hawking One medical emergency, and they are In big shit A new hotel opened up somewhere and I saw the massive crowd outside the gate looking for employment there, I can bet the hotel cannot hire more than 100 of them, but the crowd no be here Look at the industrial estate, moribund Look at the so called roads that they are saying "Ambode is working" ASUU is currently on strike, and the longer the strike drags on, the more the students will b in trouble becsuse NIGERIA is the only $hithole I know that discriminates employment based on age Zoo country I will be here for a little while, before running away again I can t deal with so much foolishness anymore |

thebosstrevor: not only connected people get jobs in nigeria. All these are just lazy comments and excuses not to work hard Look at this nigga you never see anything MOST of the good jobs in Nigeria are gotten not via merit, but via connection, man know man The unconnected ones have to struggle with the scrap jobs they see Some have got good jobs without connection, but exception does not make the rule is it not Nigeria that I grew up again I know the country very well.... Go to Abuja and see who are getting all those govt jobs Even in these private companies that outsources recruitment, the HR company ends up filling the slots with theur cronies My cousin who just finished from Covenant last two years is a beneficiary of such "favour" The day he comes out to say other Nigerians are lazy and are not trying enough, and that they should be like him, bla bla bla I would have to restrain myself from knocking his coconut head Me I know how these things go, and I feel so so sorry for the downtrodden who will have no chance to leave that wicked, cursed godforsaken $hithole to experience life elsewhere and see what they are missing So sad. I still spend some months in Nigeria tho (like I'm here ATM) And I can see clearly that instead of things changing, they are worse. Lagos filled with filth, trucks parked on the road blocking the road and causing agonizing traffic, ASUU is on strike, idiots are still shouting sai baba, robbery and ritual killing is on the sharp increase Abeg go and sit down somewhere Mr Fix Nigeria |

you just have to face your reality and start building your life and country.
when you are young, you feel abroad is the place to succeed, the stress, the money and the energy, if you have used it in learning a very sell-able skills by age 30, you would have become very comfortable in Nigeria
but you guys use the energy in queuing for visas, patronizing agents( why are the agents not applying for visas) and not even getting the visas, then hopelessness and despair troop in,you start running from church to church, you became broke and desperate and then reality comes through by that time you are already 38,nothing to show for. that is the reality of many wanna be immigrant.
cool down, get your skills, work hard, sell your self and increase your bank account and you will be able to travel for holidays in that abroad. hmmmmmm... interesting it's all about the money for you still |

The southerners are usually the fall guy who does the defense work, clean up the mess with their superior oratory skills while the northerns keep perpectuating thier evil frauds and corrupt tendencies..
What a way to be foolish ...
May God help us... it is the foolishness of the south in general, and Yoruba elite in particular that is to blame A United south will give us greater bargaining power in govt, but then, we are snitching each other while aboki is getting the spoils.... I've noticed one funny and tactical trend with this administration and it is:
The North are seated at the helms of most of the juicest MDAs and are likely beneficiaries of massive corruption, while the South are precariously positioned as their spokespersons and mouthpieces to defend them whenever the need arises. Pertinent to state also that these Southern mouthpieces are always mouthier when it comes to attacking their fellow Southerners. I noticed that too |

olawonder: I’ve seen few archived videos of many horrible crimes perpetrated by these ‘first world’ countries (which every poor Africans are trying so hard to reach), how they robbed Africa of her resources and subject the continent to destitution and poverty... how could any pastor, bishop or, religious leader claim that God spoke to them that church members aiming to travel thr should pray and sow seeds in order to get visas It sounds so ridiculous and blasphemous at the same time, to suggest that God will just ignore all of those atrocities and speak great of those countries as heaven on earth, or His (God’s) own countries! Abi their God don’t actually know what’s going on on earth ni? Me think these pastors are just lying, only scheming thr followers for selfish gains. Europe exploited Africa because they were weak and stupid That is the pure truth The workd is not kind to weak people Arabs rubbished this continent for centuries, slave trade, rapes, forceful conversion to Islam etc, because AFRICANS ARE WEAK The same Arabs tried raiding Europe, but they were kept out for centuries, because EUROPEANS ARE NOT WEAK. What do you think would have been tho fate of Europe if Arabs ran them over? So Africa indeed got itself into the mess it's in no need for blame games If Africa stops showing weakness, the exploitation will stop but they are largely a stupid group of fools who don't see beyond their noses. Rubbish |

naunasabi: Most people won't understand. Come out here and you will see our African brothers without any form of education living a decent live. I am not saying living large but at least their strength could put food on their tables, roof over their heads and they still have something to support their families back home as as far as their residual income can go. These same set of people have no future in Nigeria. If they were to stay in Nigeria their strength ( which is all they have to use ) can't even put a decent meal on their table let alone supporting a family. Yes to the very poor if you can leave please do now. For those whose parents have robbed the country dry you had better stay in Nigeria and enjoy your parents loot because if you come out here you will have to learn to work and get paid monthly salary even with your MSc the salary won't be anywhere near what your dad's company ( which was set up with stolen funds and are still used in milking the country dry ) will pay you as an executive member monthly. the last paragraph tho |
