A man can have a say on his wedding. Let me share a true life story that happened years ago in IMO state. A guy named Kelvin had planned his wedding with Chioma. On the day of his traditional wedding, his in-laws were demanding for more money after he had spent N1m. It got to a point that he got angry, left the scene of the wedding, switched off his phone for days. His in-laws tried to reach and eventually begged him to marry Chioma but Kelvin stood his ground and decided to call off the wedding. His family pleaded with him but he refused to marry. He later got married to a white lady in Poland and they are blessed with 3 kids.

OP, we are Russians (or any other) are different cultures, different ideologies, different religious principles. We have our own way of doing stuff.

We Africans have our heritage and we must be proud if it! We are tied into closely knitted family units. We love to celebrate together as communities. We also mourn together. Economic factors should not be the reason why we would not do what we are supposed to do, especially when we can.

My point is: We must not copy everything we see. We must not be like them!
so the African way is to throw a large (and expensive) wedding only to be bankrupt much later undecided undecided

AFRICANS must be the smartest people (based on this logic)

Carlyscales:
I understand ur passion and line of reasoning.
U are in the ideal world but the reality is as illustrated below:

In this election any vote that is not for PDP, is a vote for Buhari.

I've lived, schooled n worked in all parts of Nigeria. I can tell u that the block votes of northern n southern followers of Buhari will remain intact. In short ever try convincing a supporter of Buhari

But it's d vote of most Nigerians (me n u) that are fed up with Buhari that will be divided amongst Moghalu, Sowore, Ezekwesili, Durotoye etc

Infact how many of these mushroom political parties have any meaningful structures in d North. They should go to the North and converse for votes now( after all NW has the highest no of eligible voters naa)

Now looking at Moghalu and others sef.
They wants to rule Nigeria but can't even amongst themselves get a consensus candidate for maximum impact at the pools. Even their umpire Oby is now also contesting.

With all due respect to them none of these parties have what it takes to dislodge Buhari in 2019. They may be serious n patrioticoo, with capacity as well oo. But there coming out now is foolish. So obviously, Atiku may not be the best candidate amidst all the political aspirants but he's d only that has what it takes to dislodge Buhari in 019

Just look at d results in Edo, Ekiti n Osun it's still PDP n APC. Even SDP that made some impact in Osun was all about Omisore than SDP. That's y when it came to selling votes he went ahead and sold to d highest bidder with any regards or respect to d natl leadership of SDP.

The ideal is that with Moghalu, Oby, Datti Ahmed etc as president n our leaders. Nigeria will turn around. But the reality is that Nigerians are not moved by ideas but by their needs n stomachs. And u can't expect more with the level of poverty in this country. Poor people are simply moved by their stomachs and so is Nigerians period.

But the way forward is simple:
If Buhari n APC Know that Nigerians can reject them after 4yrs, will they be denying promises they made B4 elections n taking Nigerians for granted
So I say since the nijja politicians don't owe allegiance to any party ideologies. Let us keep changing them (party n presidents)

PDP failed we sent them packing. Now APC has failed let's booth them out n bring back PDP. If Atiku fails send him packing n bring back APC. If every of our politicians know that they can loose after 4yrs. No one will tell them to sit up n deliver good governance period.
nice point you got there

The asains and Indians u mentioned are the success stories.
If u lived in England u will see millions of those racial descent who are living the life but not that successful.

It's simple, the first generation immigrants work their ass out so their children can succeed, but that drive in the parents doesn't always match those in the children.
The Indians and Asians u mentioned are over millions in the UK. I saw a study that said Indians make up more than 3 percent of population but only a few become very successful and even less pass this success over to their children. And if they did, their children just ride the wave like Trump did with his dad's money.
you cannot compare the level of success with that of black folks in the U.K.

The beauty of gtb equity, strictly driven by market forces. GTB is not perfect but a true measure n reflection of Nigeria economy.
You do not need to be a forensic auditor to know dt the bank posted a good result that will surely delight investors.
A crime for any Nigerian of 20 yrs and above not to have at least 5000 units of this pace setting bank.
So far, this the only bank in Nigeria that can do what capitec bank is doing in South Africa in the rest of the world.
Let's hope they keep the flame burning and not rest on their accolades.
Good bank, good management, always protecting minority investors in the scheme of things.
BRAVO GTB.
If your entry price is down in dz bank, be rest assured that you are only experiencing paper loss, sooner or later the bank will cross the 52 week high.
Don't share the sentiment of gtb being overpriced. Buy it at any current price you can afford.
my prayer is that a bad management don't take over the bank

The issue of Boko Haram or is it herdsmen, has become spiritual. This is so because it is defying all solutions even as more people are now being recruited to join these devils.

One may be comfortable to say that the end time is here. Iniquity has taken over the whole world.

Values, good customs and traditions have given way to extreme liberty which makes people to do whatever they want without being questioned.

We are now faced with hatred from one another coupled with high level of immorality. We have recoiled to what one can describe as individual cocoons. Family values have thinned off.

The craze for money is now the order of the day. All these attest to what the Holy Books warned of at the end time, and it is here already.

Children of less than 25 years now own and amass unjustifiable wealth in the name of being celebrities; ladies have thrown morality into the wind and nudity is now fashion . What a world!

Let us repent and imbibe the Lord's teachings. Hell is real.

Do not forget that it is appointed unto man to die once, then judgement. Where do you want to belonghuh
