Politics › Re: 2019: Anambra Will Give Buhari 70 Percent Of Votes – Ngige by Ugosample(m): 8:48am On May 14, 2018 |
lagosboy21: Chief Jeremiah Awolowo, the most respected Yorubaman after Oduduwa, contested election in 1979 and 1983 under UPN, he won throughout Yorubaland, the present day South-South and in the Middle-Belt. But was defeated by Shehu Shagari throughout Igboland, Hausa/Fulaniland and Kanuriland.
Let's look at how the Igbo treated their own hero Ojukwu.
Ojukwu lead the Igbo to war between 1967 and 1970. The mission failed because the Igbo attacked and killed the Itsekiri, the Ijaw, the Edo, the Urhobo and the Yoruba rather than the Hausa and Fulani who had murdered the Igbo in the North.
After the failed Biafra mission, Ojukwu contested in the 1983 senatorial election after obtaining the ticket on a platter of gold. He lost to a lowly ranked Newbie in his own constituency.
Ojukwu contested the presidential election of 2003 under APGA, an Igbo political party. He was defeated throughout the entire Igboland by incumbent Obasanjo.
In 2007, Ojukwu was told to step down for Uzor Kalu by PPA Chieftains (Igbos) in the presidential poll because he's not "sellable" He lost throughout Igboland.
Awolowo, throughout his lifetime never lost any general election in Yorubaland. The Igbo humiliated the man they called their hero. They voted against him when he contested in the senatorial election and the presidential election.
Why did the majority of the Igbo refuse to vote their hero?
Can Nnamdi Kanu win a councillorship election with his popularity?
Why are the IPOB members now getting paid N30, 000 per month in restitution for their support for Buhari or any Fulani to be President of Nigeria in 2019?
The Young Yoruba for Freedom (YYF), is not interested in the 2019 presidential election in Nigeria. Nevertheless, of all the Yoruba who have shown interest to be President of Nigeria in 2019, Fayose remains a force to reckon with.
Obasanjo's ADC is trying hard to lobby the YYF to support the new party with a promise to make Akinwumi Adesina, the current President of the African Development Bank, the presidential nominee of the ADC.
We are not swayed by Obasanjo, an evil man, who has worked all his entire life for the greatness of the Fulani whilst keeping the Yoruba down.
The Obasanjo ADC's presidential candidate will almost likely be yet another Fulani. He made Shehu Shagari, a Fulani, president of Nigeria in 1979; he again made Musa Yar'Adua, a Fulani president of Nigeria in 2007; he also made Muhammadu Buhari, a Fulani president of Nigeria in 2015. He cannot now change from his evil deed against the Yoruba in 2019.
Notwithstanding, when the table is set and a proper Yoruba has been confirmed to take power from the Fulani and the Igbo who have more than half of their population live in Yorubaland goes against the Yoruba's political interests, they shall be decimated all across Yorubaland |
Romance › Re: The Amount A Man Must Have To Be Called Rich. How Much Money Is Rich Enough? by Ugosample(m): 7:59pm On May 13, 2018 |
ronald4lif: To my own understanding there are three classes of riches; the comfortable type, the properly-rich and the wealthy.
The comfortable type is the one who can afford every basics of life, and some extra bit of a luxury lifestyle which may includes; once in a year holiday, some designer wears and got one or two cars but many of them got no property to their name. Their wealth is estimated at 10million naira minimum
The properly-rich are ones who got few landed properties to their names; they go to at least 3 holiday trips a year, got fleet of cars and they hardly shop in a random shop except of course it's a designer brand. These are the main patronisers of the VIP sections of big names night clubs; and yes they are the ones who groove with the most beautiful babes in town. Their net worth is usually not less than a 100million.
Wealthy ones - these are the babas in town, they are globe-trotters, flying first class from one continent to another; today they are in Paris, next day they are in LA, Dubai etc. They have uncountable properties to their names, they are estate owners, and their net worth is in billions or at least half a billion.
There are a few people who live fake lives, like the really wealthy ones but have nothing more than 10million naira savings, especially the today's Naija celebrities. They bag on expensive designer wears, fly first class and some few use most of their savings to purchase posh cars. But in reality they are just comfortable and not wealthy.
Conclusively, for one to be considered as being rich they must have at least a net worth of 10million naira, anyone who has less is a middle class.
This is what I understand about one being rich. Please correct me if I am wrong. I like this |
Business › Re: Why Dangote Closed His Tomato Factory And Lessons You Can Learn From It by Ugosample(m): 1:13pm On May 13, 2018 |
PrecisionFx: Just stop fooooling urself, Nothing is manufactured in Nigeria. Even satchet water bag is imported from other countries. We only import finished products, Or we import raw materials/already made parts n then assemble in Nigeria.
Over 90% of cement sold in Nigeria are imported, in most cases they import the finished product n bag it within the country.
Cement produced abroad in Asia is far cheaper than the ones produced in Nigeria. As long as ur producing cement in Nigeria, U can't compete with the importers because the cost of production in Nigeria is extremely high.
Almost ALL of the cement sold into Nigeria are imported, Including Dangote Oh lawd Dangote is producing cement and has been doing that for a long time now His cement plants are scattered across Kogi, Edo, even Ogun state. And he is not the only one. Even the sack is made in Nigeria, so what are you saying |

PrecisionFx: ""Dangote was a "producer" of cement""
I didn't read beyond where u posted this.
This is an industry u are not a part of and u were never a part of in the past so u have a zero knowledge or understanding.
Read my lips ""AS WE SPEAK, DANGOTE STILL IMPORTS CEMENT IN NIGERIA JUST LIKE PORTLAND, BUA, UNICERN IBETO, ELEPHANT, ETC"".
I have nothing else to tell a teenager. I am NOT a teenager tho. Dangote have cement plants in Nigeria, and infact, the mines in Edo state is currently in contention between Dangote and BUA Even the overrated Ibeto has keyed into local production of cement, (I can't remember the name again sef) There are cement plants across the country owned by Dangote, BUA, etc. Heck, this man even has a cement plant in Zambia and a few other places. Dangote lobbied better, and made the shift from 100 % importation to running cement plants in Nigeria. Ibeto didn't, and he got his legs broken That's business |

PrecisionFx: This is why I hope owner of nairaland will find a way to add members real age here. Ur assertions expose that u were probably born around year 2000 so u know nothing about this issue.
A certain Nigerian cement giant called Ibeto from Nnewi (who's cement till today has far higher quality than dangotes cement) was once the leader in anything cement in Nigeria. Dangote connived with Obasanjo n the FG seized all the cement he imported worth billions of naira n he had a severe stroke n almost lost his life, He spent months in the hospital n by God's grace he survived.
OBJ made laws dat disallowed anyone in nigeria from importing cement, Thus making Dangote the only importer of cement in Nigeria for Many years n they shared the profits with OBJ.
Dangote knows nothing about managing a business, Even an slowpoke or down syndrome patient will become become a billionaire in a monopoly.
Dangote was also once the sole importer of sugar in nigeria. It isn't rocket science. Ibeto was not a serious person Dangote was a "producer" of cement, Ibeto was an importer, so Obasanjo made law to discourage importation so that the local producer (Dangote) can make headway No country in this world supports importers over producers But trust my people, they will say its because Ibeto is Igbo or dangote is close to the govt If Ibeto is that good, why not lobby the govt to give him a soft landing, so that he can make a switch from importation to production? That said, Ibeto is now into production sha, but it's too little too late. |
