Nig4Greatness: .... My brother, been a second class citizen is easy on paper but tough in practice and accepting such status now depends on your purpose in life as you rightly mentioned. Talking about Nigeria,if you think the country is underdeveloped, please who is to blame.....the citizens or the leaders ??. The leaders are also citizens, so my answer is the citizens. Living in other countries (two poorer than Nigeria tho) over the ladt few years have made me see Nigeria somehow |

Nig4Greatness: .......
@OP, congratulations once again on your accomplishment so far but i asked few questions earlier which you ignored for whatever reason but i thought its just a normal thing for you to give a detail introduction of yourself so your audience,at least those you are trying to reach can see something to run with.i indicated my intention to comment where necessary as well. That being said,i ask people what SUCCESS means to them,am sure it means different things depending on their situations and to an average white american, the word AMERICAN DREAM means different thing to them as it does an immigrant especially coming from Africa. to the OP, i understand how excited you are by achieving that dream of being an america citizen and you cant wait to share it to those that care to listen but hey, when you try to advise or encourage people to abandon their (God forsaken)home country and move to a foreign land without giving a clear cut pathways on how to accomplish that decision is unfair,at least the tread you created i assume is to be for that purpose. to rest your curiosity,i am an AMERICAN by all standard and also a full bloodied Nigerian and my loyalty is to my home country and as well to my my adopted country.i own businesses in both countries so i can relate very well on any subject matters. you see,you cant compare the US with Nigeria because they didn't start the same time,US is over 240yrs in existence whereas Nigeria is just less than 60yrs, forget the issue of corruption, there is corruption in every system but american citizens stayed and sacrificed a lot for their country, the place every one is dreaming to be now.please get to the library close to you and rent or watch these documentaries/movies may be it makes some meaning to you (1.the war that made america,2.who we are as an Americans,3.Obama america)(they are US govt properties). If we put half of efforts we put in here in our home country,Nigeria would have been a better place. No matter what you become, you are still a second class citizen way different from what you are called in your home country.once again, lets engage on this issue and some others as this will educate and encourage your audience in their decision making. @bolded, are you married with kids and what kind of job you do that would offer you that much in refunds?,you see these stuffs are things your audience need to know, taking them through the process and not just the result.as far as i know, government receive more in tax refund that they pay out.so don't think its just a simple Christmas largesse.
P.S i sent you a pm so as to caution(as i noticed you are still new on the forum) the kind of figures you throw around, there are american citizens on this forum,US government officials and even IRS operatives,so you know. When I hear stuff like second class citizen, I just laugh Except you are among the political or business elite in Nigeria, you are a second class Nigerian citizen in Nigeria. Cross their path, and your eye go clear. The most important tho is to find fulfilment in Life, because one day you will die. Nigeria is not ready for development, as much of the population still have tgeur mentality stuck in the stone age, And there is a price for development, a price must Nigerians are not willing to pay. As for me o, th six months in Nigeria and six months outside that I have designed for myself suits me. overtime it will be 3 months Nigeria anf 9 months outside ultimately, when the stuff im working on is complete, i don move completely be that. Those in Nigeriashould develop Nigeria, I'm okwith my second class status |

Nigeria is a country filled with animals, with people who oppress those beneath them with no remorse whatsoever,
A country without laws or standards, and majority of the voters blinded by bigotry and ethnic sentiments.
Let me not even go on and on
Sometimes it's, not about the money, as Nigeria is one of the easiest place to make money, especially when you are ready to cut corners and act without conscience, but for many, it's about living life in a sane environment, where time of law is respected And where there are prospects.
You may not make it in millions there, but with your children and grand children being born in western countries, they will have more opportunities, So it's not just about you
to cut long story short, if you can leave, you better, if not you will most likely regret it in 15 years time |

After thirteen years you are still killing this girl's time in the name of not yet ready. Well, she has no options. You just trapped her with two children. Not really cute! Remember, you've got two daughters. Will it be okay if someone treated them that way? Solstar: You have a point, but few of such people's wealth survive their generation. To create wealth that spans generations, you must master expensive management and actually teach your kids and grandkids. As far as I am concerned, only few people in Nigeria can afford to say they are wealthy in that regard. I am not talking about some few billions here and there, I am talking about incremental wealth, not just some lucky money. These guys have no money at all. I pity the way they waste it on things that dont matter. Just to show their faces on social media. There is no such thing as "lucky" money to me. especially in this case many of these guys worked HARD for the money |
Celebrities › Re: Comedian AY Poses With His Mercedes Benz G-wagon With A Word Of Advice (photo) by Ugosample(m): 9:15pm On May 07, 2018 |
Solstar: G-Wagon is his pricest possession, he just needed to fulfill his compulsive urge to show it off, cos as far as I am concerned, he is not worth enough to give anyone any advice.
They are all struggling and their money can not even survive till one generation, cos their source of income is like a chaff in the wind. No inventions, no manufacturing, no productions, just fast money without a real cash management plan on ground.
Making money is the easy part, managing it is the difficult part. Okay You wey sabi, where is your own? Abeg shift! |

hayoholla: to some extent I agree with kanye west. we just too quick to crucify him without scrutinising the statement. if I am on right track with his statement. it means for traditional african leaders to be brainwashed into selling their own to whites just for a shade of mirror and gunpowder or for being a social miscreant is "mentally wrong". Although it was not the choice of the enslaved to be put in chains and shackles and bundled of the coast, but it was the choice of their rulers to choose to be inferior to their white counterpart, it was the choice of the then traditional rulers to not let common reasoning prevail by throwing away our traditional identity and let our history be written for us. it was the choice of our traditional rulers to choose mediocrity even with our superiority in numbers as kanye west claims. they chose to be second class human even selling their own kinsmen. tell me whose to be blame here? This is another perspective to it. nice Kanye had a point |

CodeTemplar: Slavery was a choice the same way our current predicament is a choice.
If the Arabs could revolt under better conditions and Nigerians are still choosing their oppressor sheepishly, then it was a choice and we are still maintaining that choice. Help me tell them o Kanye West to a large extent is right. Until you revolt, it is assumed that you have accepted your position as a slave, the way Nigerians have accepted the rubbish they get from their leaders The Haitians refused to be slaves, they chose to revolt, and they made history as the first independent black country of the 18th century The South Africans have had enough of being second class citizens in their countries and revolted, Apartheid was dismantled and they became free Even the Civil rights movement was the black Americans way of saying enough is enough of beibg discriminated against in their own country, Rosa Parks refused the status quo and this set up a chain reaction that scattered the Jim crow movement Even Algeria, Kenya and other countries fought for their independence. Within those years, as long as the slaves could not revolt, it was a choice. there are efen stories of planned revolt, and the house negros snitching, because he was comfortable with his position, and was scared of his lot of the status quo change Lastly, Nigeria has a choice to say ENOUGG IS ENOUGH and cleanse the legislature and executive at the three tiers of government of those who are doing nothing but make the countty suffer from their incompetence and criminality But the question is.... Will Nigerians make that choice? Or will they choose to remain slaves in their own countries |

oscarwestcoast: Just say she is qualified and we will be fine. But telling me no Nigerian is as qualified as Chery doesn't make Sense. No nobel Laurette, first degree from London college of economics that was a mere polytechnic in 1975, never served in a board of business conglomerate like Dangote group and you tell me a nation of 180m people does not have her kind. Haba! Are you a Ghanian? Go and google the profile of Chukwuma Soludo, Okonjo Iweala, Sanusi lamido Sanusi, even Dankwombo and Peter Obi have handled tougher task than this your world class champion. Don't because she is a Briton , studied And worked there, earned her awards there, then that will make her superior to all Nigerians. The OP is right in one sense The connections she has, NO NIGERIAN, except you were head of state has it, and that is what makes her more qualified than MOST, if not ALL Nigerians Dangote wants to list in the London Stock Exchange. Is it Peter Obi, Sanusi or Dankwanbo that will help him do that story The only person that comes close is Okonjo Iweala |
