NonsoWow: Anambra is always ahead of others. It remains the number one business destination in the east especially with the excellent business-friendly policies of governor obiano. The station should give priority to anambra indigenes because lots of wawa and abakaliki people are running away from their stagnant states to come and suffocate the labour market in anambra. With this latest addition, Anambra maintains its position as the 5th largest radio market in Nigeria with the largest number of radio stations in the South East.
Anambra leads, others follow. Typical Anambra man feeling superior to other Igbos rubbish mentality |

abnot: Rubbish seen many Nigerians consistently acquiring plots here and there yet when they need cash they are unable to liquidate . A colleague of mine bought some plots somewhere at a cost of 3M . Four years later he wanted his wife to give birth in Texas and he tried to sell two of the plots. They told him the value of the two plots was now 5M. For 6 months he couldn’t find a buyer. I’d rather invest in other things or even pension assets well, that's why we should have our portfolio balanced between liquid assets and illiquid assets. Land/Property is illiquid, and having more than 70% of your networth on illiquid assets is not a good idea at all |

WUdec: Personally it all depends on your background and your assets back home. If you emigrate to another country and prefer to be part of the rat race in a world where your skin is always seen as the worst class of the human race; then i guess you are satisfied with being another man's bitch.
Generally and unarguably, Nigerians in Europe are the most successful Nigerians in diaspora mainly because 70% know what they came out for and know that it can be taken away from you at any minute. So in btw less than a year to 5 yrs, a newcomer who's focused acquires a few assets back home eg. property, businesses, shares etc and they've got money working for them while they work. Plus they get money by all means necessary.
America is a "wash" world. They sell you a fake dream, keep you in slavery digitally and labour-wise and all your dreams are under the fingers of the caucasians. Don't believe me, check every damn company you work for, how many black people are the presidents, vice or even third place? None
Black people are pimped for over 30 yrs only to retire tp some lousy pension and continuous payments.
I emigrated to Europe 18 yrs ago as teenager and I've got two to three more years to complete my conquest. In the meantime, i love my king life back home and i detest the system i once saw as normal.
In Naij, I am free to do whatever the hell i want without being audited or ripped off or the govt pinching into my hardwork and selling me debt. Besides the healthcare, organization and civilization, at this stage of my life, i prefer a place where my colour isn't a reflection of my personality, where my money works for me and not me working for my money. Most of all, a place where the boss life never ends if you use your street smarts and your foreign packaging to sell your ideas and sell your products.
Nigeria is a shithole but a goldmine for a hustler. As much as i hate my passport and keep myself enclosed from my people emotionally due to their atrocities, I love Nigeria. We are the toughest hustlers in Africa and we can sell you anything including the American dream. Especially for those in their 20s who are getting loose!money and all.
Instead of wasting it in clubs, booze and women, you better invest in stocks, property (no matter how cheap) etc

braunstrowman:

Gone are the days, when a woman will see her husband and she will submit to him and to his instructions wholeheartedly but not days again. Even the Bible says wife should be submissive to her husband. Ephesians 5:22-33 New International Version (NIV) 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
A man will give simple instructions to his wife or girlfriend they will still find it hard to obey him or listen to his instructions.
Amaka don't do this! She will still do that.
Mama Emeka shut up when I'm talking! She will talk 50 times before the man will say two statement.
Ma victor you didn't wash my clothes! Do I look like your house maid.
You girls should be respectful and obedient to your husband or boyfriend That's because a lot of men are conducting themselves in a dishomorable fashion Women still respect men who got their shit together |

olujastro: I've just spent my entire morning reading from the beginning and to be honest, that part is still confusing but I'll pass on it.
About Immigrating No doubt Nigeria hasn't lived up to its potentials as a country. And deciding to leave Nigeria for greener pastures isn't a bad thing. But it's only fair for people with professional jobs in Nigeria to know that immigrating means doing very difficult menial jobs that can break ones back for a living, and moving over to a life of uncertainty as an immigrant. In many countries, not getting a job after studying means you have to return to your country. That's when the "criminality" in average Nigerians unveils itself and we begin to do anything illegal to remain there by force.
About Our Bad Treatment Outside Is Nigeria the only backward country on earth experiencing bad governance? Why are people from Benin, Togo, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, etc. not ill treated at airports, or for travel visas, or abroad generally, as badly as Nigerians are treated? Because Nigerians are the ones always are the forefront of doing criminal and illegal things outside Nigeria. Because majority of Nigerians don't hesitate to do wrong just to get their way through situations, thereby spoiling the reputation of the good ones and the country at large. We think we are sharp people with what I call Negative Smartness, so we must find another way out to circumvent any system.
About Nigeria So Nigerian people is what is wrong with Nigeria. Nigerians find it extremely convenient to blame the government, forgetting that Nigerian citizens in all spheres make life difficult for each other. For most people, the government is the President alone. All they see wrong about Nigeria is Buhari. Not the corrupt civil servants manning various positions, the legislators, the council chairmen, the judges, traders, etc. The annoying thing about Nigerians is that, those who find it very convenient to do wrong and criminal things criticise the government the most. I have lots of "friends" as examples both here and in Nigeria.
About Our Politics For the bitter 2015 election losers, their best phrase has become "Nigeria is a zoo". All they do is curse Nigeria since after 2015. I've seen a lot of it on this thread. But it wasn't a zoo when Jonathan, OBJ and his party goons were looting the treasury with reckless abandon and not giving us a future to fall back on. Nigerians are largely ignorant honestly. They don't even know anything about their economic revenue sources, so they can't adequately hold the leaders accountable. The currency here also depreciated due to slump in oil prices and no one strangled the government. The only thing I care about is for our infrastructure to be largely built and I'll probably return home. That's what I desire from any government in power for now, as Nigerians won't stop doing wrong and making the country more reasonable for the good ones to survive.
This was my post when I went to Nigeria during this past Christmas holiday...
The festive period is over, fuel queues automatically disappear. A few greedy filling station operators were able to make their Christmas money to the detriment of the remaining 180 million people. Till December 2018 again for the next scarcity. Filling stations will as usual sell products at midnight at higher prices only to black market people, who adulterate the product with unknown liquid and resell at higher prices to fellow countrymen and also knock down their engines just to make quick money. Govt receives the bashing while a few selfish people achieved their aim - A wonderful Christmas! Everywhere you turn to you see people trying to make money by making others suffer; airport staff, passport office, electricity distribution companies, policemen at extortion points, traders selling fake items to unsuspecting customers, one car blocking the road and hindering hundreds from moving forward, road contractors, etc. Each person only cares about himself and his pocket. The rest can suffer! Go to other countries and see how people behave, then you know why such countries are functional. Elections will come and people will start talking about parties and candidates, forgetting that even the best candidates have to deal with over 100 million selfish people who will do anything to keep their pockets increasing irrespective of how many other fellow citizens suffer from their actions. What a wonderful people!
If you are 100% sure you are totally a different Nigerian who doesn't fit in to the wrong way of getting things done, please feel free to leave for your own sanity. You can return when majority of Nigerians are ready to do the right always. You wrote well but to spoilt it by apparently exonerating the failure calls Buhari Yes NIGERIAN leaders jab failed us, Buhari inclusive The level of criminality in this govt is mind boggling but apart from that, you wrote well |

winterfell007: My igbo brothers can brag for Africa!! First of all, Ibeto caused his own downfall. Had it been he keyed into OBJ's backward integration policy for the Cement industry, his story would have been a lot different. I could remember when OBJ called all stakeholder in the Cement business including the likes of Dangote, BUA, Lafarge and Ibeto to announce the new the policy direction, Ibeto felt it's just another Govt. Hogwash.
While Dangote and others began acquiring defunct Cement plants like the one in Gboko to revamp it and mine the limestones locally, Ibeto felt it was a whole lot easier for him to import the 'clinkers' and simply process it in his factory at Portharcourt. Dangote and BUA followed Govt new policy and began investing in backward integration. I could remember when OBJ gave all of the players a timeline to execute this policy. Dangote felt he could not be investing so much in BIP while his competitors will simply flout the policy to continue to import the clinker, process it and they'll all sell to the same market. OBJ assured Dangote that his investment in BIP would not be in vain because he was helping the govt in conserving forex. Obj reminded Ibeto of the policy they all agreed to in 2003 only for Ibeto to pay lip service promising to look into the policy
It dawned on Ibeto when OBJ decided to take punitive measures against him for flouting the BIP(Backward intervention plan) only for Ibeto to cry 'witch-hunt' that Obj is targeting him because he's igbo. Anyway to cut the long story short, Dangote took advantage of the punitive measure against his direct rival to build the biggest Cement plant in Africa and that was his story changed for good. Ibeto should thanks his stars that Yaradua had pity on him. Help me tell them o |

WhoBeThisMan: no western cultures are different. They believe when there is" no love " anymore you divorce. For African culture, marriage is not based on just on the feeling of love. Love goes up and down. You don't love someone thesame way every time.
That's why in Africa, marriage is between families not just you and your" love". So when the love seems to go down, you stay there until.it comes up. Again.
Now this dosnt apply to physically abusive marriages. Those should be desolved. I LMAO Western countries are different I knew you will say that I still standby my words There is NOTHING to learn from "African marriages" all be scam Especially for women. |

Yes you can't have a perfect marriage, thesame way you. Can't have a perfect mother or father or brother or sister, but you don't divouse them. Do you?
There are far more happy marriages in Africa than sad ones. But only the sad ones are talking.
The sad thing is that the bad ones are trying to pull down the good ones with them, because misery loves company Going by your logic, it means that there are more happy marriages in western countries than bad ones It's the bad ones you guys get to hear about lol |

It's not everything we should copy from whites, that's slavery mentality.
In marriage the whites have the worst. 1 out of 2 marriages fail.
In fact I think when it comes to marriage, westerners need to learn from Africans not the other way arround. There is nothing to learn from African marriage African marriage na suffeehead, especially for the women, If the thing no work again, you divorce and go away. Do you know how many women would like to leave their marriages here if not for the "societal stigma?" Same applies to the man tho, but to a lesser degree. |
