BJ4REEL: Hmm... when you read through the thread you'll understand what I mean.
The Nigerian situation calls for great concern.
We have bright minds among us but no motivation whatsoever; not even low interest soft loans for sme's, too bad!
I have viable ideas that needs funding to take off but for where, no show!
Infact I'm more speechless reading the thread! Yes bro.. I get you..... But Nigeria is one country I know that defends it's oppressors, so what do we expect.... I started following this thread from the beginning some days ago, and never did I expect that it will degenerate to this. Very sad indeed |

ArodeTsolaye: Now Now Now, these thread don reach 40 pages? Damn! I underestimated the level of hunger in this una nigeria.
Keep shouting 'one nigeria' don't do the sensible thing by partitioning the country into manageable parts so you can survive. Keep hailing political thugs as share stipends of your own commonwealth to you.
Partitioning is not the solution bro. Gambia is small, and homogeneous but they are suffering there. The problem is greed in Africa |

Dgaffer: It's so pathetic how some youths denounce their religious believe just to get attention from ymodulus because he once mentioned that he is an atheist... This unemployment needs to be addressed seriously or better still find a way to curb this issue as OBJ said we are sitting in a gun-powder ready to explode with this unemployment rate in Nigeria Do you have a problem with the fact that he is atheist? |

whirlwind7: I understand where you are coming from, bro.
Do you know why till this day, a nationwide revolution has not begun? It is simply because Nigeria is not a united country. We are not one, and we have never been one. I don't see it happening, EVER. Once a section of the country feels they are being shortchanged, all the government needs to do is appoint someone from that region into a certain position, and what happens next is, the people will say, "well, one of us has been appointed. Let's wait and see how things go. Maybe the government has remembered us afterall" This happens consistently. It all boils down to tribalism along with it's varying interests. Now that we feel that the FG is appointing mostly Northerners, majority of the south complains. Once a prominent position is given to, say, someone from the SS, that region keeps quiet a bit. AS IF SUCH AN APPOINTMENT EVEN MEANS ANYTHING TO THE COMMON MAN IN THAT REGION!
It's not totally an issue of cowardice. No Igbo man will rise up in protest over a Yoruba village that gets ransacked by Fulani herdsmen. No Yoruba politician will lose sleep if Boko Haram suddenly wipes off an entire LGA in Damaturu. No Hausa man will lose his appetite if a sudden epidemic wipes off half the population of a rural community in the Niger Delta.
It's the same reason why, when a politician is being investigated for corruption, his kinsmen will rise up in protest, and call it witch hunting It's also the reason why, every politician in power is like "I need to loot as much as I can lay my hands on right now". Knowing that it is a temporary position, without much accountability.
Bottom line, no tribe or groups of tribe is ready to lose his life over a country that most of us feel no allegiance or loyalty to. Will you, for instance, accept to lead a ragtag mob that decides to march to Aso Rock tomorrow morning? of course, you'd first ask yourself if you are the most affected from the hardship ravaging the country. The very first factor that ensures a successful revolution is UNITY. Once everyone is unified in their political conviction and decide on achieving the same goal, then a revolution might just be looming. Go read up the history of countries that had a successful revolution. A united front was the common and overwhelming factor. As it is now, in Nigeria, it is every man for himself. And in your opinion, why do you think Nigeria is not United? Nigeria is not the most ethnic diverse country in the world, yet our wahala is too much. It is the political class, the religious leaders and the elite that divided this country along ethnic lines *divide and rule* That is the game. Even in small states in Nigeria, the minority cannot taste political office due to the same shenanigans of these people. Benue and Kogi states come to mind here. The solution here is to see this fight as a fight between masses and the greedy elite, not Igbo vs Yoruba, or Christian vs Muslim, because even if this country is split into 15, the problem will remain, or even be worse. |

mrsage: How much did the border guys collect?
Then what's the current exchange rate?
Also hiow much do you think will be ideal for the entire trip? If you do not have a yellow fever card, it will be even more expensive tho. I spent 3000+ at Seme I can't remember hilla condji and Aflao....... But as a virgin passport holder, you will be exploited big time, that is for sure. So if you have a right budget, just use your voters card instead. You will still pay, but far less. That is my advise for you. But if you like to keep stamps of different countries, like I do, they you can use your passport. As for budget, ! I can't really say, because when I took my trip, the exchange rate was not this terrible o. But since you are spending six days (hotels + tramsport+ food+ souvenirs + bribes etc) maybe you should have AT LEAST 70 GRAND on you. And another thing.. Keep your money well, or divide it into two, half in your acct and half on you. You can withdraw over ATM there (I do it a lot) Ask me any other questions |

I have a passport but from what I discovered I can do without it. Is this true?
I don't know the current exchange rates I have done a long road trip myself..... And it was fun, with my passport. But despite the fact that I have airport stamps in my passport, they still called my passport a virgin passport, and fleeced me of my money... But I still advice you use your passport tho..... Ask ME ANY other questions |

alujonjonkijon: arrant nonsense, you better get down to the real world before you die of frustration, your husband is not your mate,he is your boss but a benevolent dictator,if he decides to Bleep your best friend pregnant,u will discover u are so silly to abandon him and the marriage because very soon the man you remarry too will be worse that your last hubby.men are polygamous and if you can lay claim to any sense at all ,you would have notice that because a man bleeps ur best friend doesnt mean he hates you his wife.i didnt even bother to read your story in full ,who is cheating who.in marriage the African way it is about the wife's fidelity and the reason being that if you Bleep more than one man,we dont know who owns the pregnancy and the child and the entire society becomes confused and disorganized.
your only way out for you is to find how you get married to kumuyi of deeper life cus i cant guarantee u of fidelity with the pastors chris them,
very unnecessary article, you can as well teach women how to wear their pant.and who tells you some hubbies dont prefer their wives to be orobos.
please pardon me.,your advise is really very very unnecessary.did you talk to ur mum before writing these? What is this one saying again? Na wa o. |
