Now that I think of it, it seems women in general have a reputation for being difficult. your second paragraph is the truth Women COULD be very difficult sometimes to deal with |

AkataWoman: As I read through this thread, a revelation that I had recently struck me again: Nigerian men and women are one and the same. The whole world knows about the scamming Nigerian man who marries for a green card then acts an ass and leaves or brings his real wife over from Nigeria. We also know that the real wife and the man’s entire family will be in on the scam. We’ve even heard of the man moving the Nigerian wife in with the foreign wife, pretending she is his sister or cousin. The lack of humanity and regard for others is astounding to us foreigners. But we have known African men to be this way for a long time.
Lately I’ve learned Nigerian women are just as deceitful. They’ll chase anything white or foreign they see in Nigeria because he represents a green card. They’ll also sleep with anybody and particularly love married men because they’re established and can give money.
So it seems this greedy, user mentality is a Nigerian/3rd world desperation thing. It’s not just men who lack integrity but a societal thing. I’m sure it’s not EVERYONE but it’s enough that you should be able to realize you really can’t insult one another about this issue because both of you-the men and women-are equally horrible and perfectly matched. it depends on the socio economic status of the parties involved The middle class to elite class who marry white folks (which btw most of the time were their school mates while they were schooling) are not doing it for any sinister motive love "arrests" you in ways you never know existed but for a poor guy who has nothing going for him he is more inclined to act desperate In things like these tho I believe the men should be more honest |

Because if you’ve been to LA you’d realize that it’s the worse American city to use making this comparison. Banana island is not WORTH the price tag and btw, I'm not a Nigerian resident been to enough countries to fill up passport booklets (don't take it as bragging, I'm just clearing your doubt ) there is absolutely NO BASIS for that price tag..... I'm surprised many disagree it's just a basic devt at best. Properties in Lagos, Accra and Luanda are just fvckin overpriced (the high end ones ) that is why the property market there are somewhat illiquid, because they do not reflect market values I'll tell you a story about how something could be overpriced if you care to listen |

princfred: If the average white chick that will help a poor black man get visa is high on that orientation like their black counterparts they wont be nearing poor black guys and even offering anything as well.
Example: how many naija chicks ugly, fat or beautiful come to pick (lets say get picked by) a local dude to marry after making it abroad? While their white counterparts not necessarily all ugly ones, pick naija guys. Your average back babe is not interested in offering you anything you cant offer yourself but more interested in what material things you have to offer especially more than she already has while the average poor white chick come in trying to offer whatever she has. If the man decided to remain lazy after the life changing opportunity she has offered him then she has every right to throw him out. I'm trying to make you see the reality that there is a difference in mental approach towards a relationship by white chicks and naija ones not from theory but in practise. What does the average niaja babe aspire or do willingly offer akin to visa which the average poor white chick do offer? More often than not the naija babes are have hypergamic not symbiotic orientation towards relationship. I see where you are going |

grandstar: The answer is simple: poverty or severe poverty. A foreign wife is perceived as a ticket to prosperity by them.
When China was still poor, many were eager to marry Westerners but with a per capita income now about thrice Nigeria, they've lost a lot of that interest.
Poverty is the primary issue
The urge to travel abroad for a better life falls drastically when per capita income touches $8,000. Nigeria is barely $2,500 so the country still has a long way to go naa I don't think it's poverty |

Gerrard59: First bold: Reparations connotes appeasing/compensating victims. Question is: how many of those victims are alive today? The policy of reparations is divisive and honesty, it does no good because it further perpetuates the victimisation belief most people have towards AAs.
Second bold: Good luck in your "socialist dreams". I cannot wait to see how that will be paid (which will provide the benefits of the italised part). Also, I can imagine the impending civil unrest that will invoke across America should it be implemented which is possible futuristically knowing that 1 in 5 Americans have a favourable view of communism. Yet again, some of these policies have been implemented for over half a century yet AAs are still poorer than ever before. I think reparations is not the way to go as well |

The japanese waited after every game their country played just to clean up the section they occupied. Their footballers also cleaned up their dressing room even after losing the final match of the asian cup. This is a dangerous and demonstrably false mindset. Strong people can fight for and have given their lives to protect weak people.
What are you on about, and what has this got to do with the plight of Black Americans?
What do you think I am doing when I call attention to the often ignored historical context through which the present situation of black Americans can be viewed?
Please educate me. How have most Igbos picked themselves up? What is the population of Igbos in Nigeria and what percentage of those are doing well economically?
Don't be fooled by idiotic feel-good drivel promoted by the elite to distract you from the stark reality of your situation. You will hear silly things like: "Igbos are the most successful businessmen", "Yorubas are the most educated ethnic group", "Hausas are the most honest people", and similar crap. The truth is that there are only two tribes in Nigeria today, and you will know them by their economic situation: The proletariat who do all the work for crumbs, and the bourgeoisie, who exploit all these fake ethnic and religious divisions to keep the proletariat poor and desperate enough to work for crumbs. Wake up and know who your real enemies are, comrade! interesting |

For men, it doesnt work in their favor because most of the time divorce ends in losing their homes and half of their assets or even more. If there are children involved, the woman gets custody of the children most of the time unless there are other circumstances involved.
