Nomanlike:
Not all but most Yoruba guys are guilty of this

Anybody who have been in the midst of Yoruba guys must have noticed how loud and noisy they can be like TF can't y'all talk in low tones??

Back then in NYSC camp these yoruba guys that gathered themselves in a corner couldn't stop disturbing the whole building with there loud voice at 11/12pm everyday And the worst past is that they never converse with English.. Before you know it they will be shouting from end to end and if one tries to caution them they will start picking fights.. Anywhere Yoruha boys are gathered you must always notice them because they will be disturbing the whole place and are always talking on top of there voice. Thereby attracting unwarranted attention.
I see that as low self esteem issues though and joblessness because anyone who have (Has) something going for them can't be so uncivilised. (Something going for them)
If you are among those guilty of this take note and correct yourself.
Nigeria is hell enough stop polluting the environment with noise
Before y'all tribalise this trade its nothing personal just some candid sayings
Peace

Be guided next time

Yes she doesn't. She doesn't even have friends, she is always at home most times, only goes out when I tell her we should go out or except she goes to her trainee work as an auxiliary nurse but she is done with that...

Better send her to school of nursing if you want to marry her and stop the "shity" auxiliary whatever. Don't get me angry.

Back to topic. Bro, that boy will destroy you. If she can't send him to stay with her mum or his father, your peace will pay for that. I know what it means to live with stubborn kid that is yours not to talk of the one that isn't yours. If you can't stand the kid and the mother is forcing him on you, bro, you are on a long thing. Be a man have a matured conversation she should choose between you and the child. If she chooses the child, help them with a year rent let them go. If she chooses you, let her take the child to her mum, you can help with part of the fee.

My guy, it is your peace that is paramount. Trust me, this life is just once and as a quiet person, you fit kick bucket early if you have this kind of stubbornness around you.

Peace.

Religion / Re: Misconceptions About The Holy Spirit. by ultimate77(m): 11:13am On Feb 16, 2020
profolaolu:
Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity, He is the Spirit of GOD, given to whosever is willing and ready not by singing of memorizing a line of gibberish or speaking after some so called Pastors, there is nothing meaningful a CHRISTian I mean CHRISTian not church goers and bench warmers can do without the Spirit of God.

One cannot be a believer without the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is one in the trinity that was actually sent to us by the Father. So without the Holy Spirit, one isn't Christ Like.
Religion / Misconceptions About The Holy Spirit. by ultimate77(m): 10:56am On Feb 16, 2020
Hello landers. Its a great privilege to still remain alive in this end times when the days are full of evil. We have seen and we are still seeing the trending situations practically pointing to the last days. The strange diseases like Lassa Fever and Corona virus which are the most prevalent at the moment. We have had records of may who have died In countries with larger economy and most sophisticated medical equipments.

I woke up this morning with gongs in my head about the Holy Spirit and how He operates. Some years ago as a kid, we were told that the Holy Spirit is like a dove, therefore, it exhibits the characteristics of a dove. The preacher went ahead to mention and explain the main characteristics of a dove which one that sticker to my mind was "THE DOVE IS GENTLE AND ANY LITTLE THREAT, IT FLIES AWAY" He went ahead saying "as Christians, we ought to have the Holy Spirit at all time and we should be mindful of the fact that the Holy Spirit is like a dove and when we commit any little sin, the Holy Spirit gets scared and flies away. So living a holy life at all time is the best thing we could do"

I was still a kid when I was hearing all this things. I remember each time my father was teaching us the bible in morning devotions in the house, he will always refer us to this scripture 1 Corinthians 13:11 King James Version (KJV)
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

so on my own I kept asking myself this question. "How many times do I need to be filled with the Holy Spirit? "
Roman 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

I believe the Bible teaches it is the responsibility of every Christian to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is not simply an event or accumulation of spirituality but constant and consistent renewal, a daily part of the Christian walk requiring submission and confession of sin. There is only one indwelling, many fillings.

How has your experience been with the holy spirit? I never stopped believing what the preacher was teaching us until I became an adult. I realised I had done things the wrong way all the while, I sat under the guide of a great teacher of the scripture and I saw the revelation in the operation of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever

This scripture above says it all. The Holy Spirit doesn't just run away from us because we commit sin, we have Him as a comforter who will help us get all things and to be with us forever as well.

Someone asked a question "can the Holy Spirit leave a believer"? This answers it all. I had to check on some commentaries with this few scriptures
Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me (Psalm 51:11).

The Bible gives the example of the Holy Spirit leaving Samson:

And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" So he awoke, from his sleep, and said, "I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!" But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him (Judges 16:20)

In another instance, the Holy Spirit is said to have left Saul:

But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him (1 Samuel 16:14)
These passages seem to teach that one can lose the Holy Spirit. But this is not necessarily the case. There are other possible solutions to this question. Some believe that the situations of David, Samson, and Saul must be understood in their Old Testament context. It appears that during that period, the Holy Spirit did not indwell believers on a permanent basis; but rather His presence in the life of the believer was of a limited duration.

Special Anointing

A second view holds that it was not the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that left these people, but a particular anointing or empowering of the Spirit that departed. David and Saul were kings and had a special anointing from God to rule the people. Samson also had a special anointing from God to lead Israel. What left Samson and Saul and what David prayed to retain was not the indwelling of the Holy Spirit but rather the Holy Spirit's anointing to rule. In the same way, the Holy Spirit always indwells a believer, but can anoint that New Testament believer for a specific and temporary purpose.

Whatever the case may be, the New Testament makes it plain that the Holy Spirit will not leave the believer.

Establishing that the holy spirit doesn't leave a believer doesn't add up to a believer misbehaving. Walk in the revelation of the holy spirit and understand his operations.

Do you hold another believe about the Holy Spirit?
Let us know so that we and others will increase in the knowledge of the holy spirit.

Peace!

I like cakes, but most times- I buy them on my own. I like them that much. Sometimes I get as gifts too, irrespective of the season.

The kitchen is my favourite place in a house, so I LOVE KITCHEN WARES. Buy me a cute non-stick pot and I will fall in love.

I HATE CASH gifts. Very unmemorable.

Practical lasting gifts are memorable. Fashion items can suffice, if she is a fashion person. I am not, I only buy when the need arises and 90% are work clothes/shoes.

Anyway, depends on your budget and the lady in question. Wristwatches, perfumes, clothes, phones, knacks, flowers, dinner date, boat cruise..etc.

A friend once told me they were doing gift exchange at his office. He picked a lady and was fcking confused on what to buy as he was on a budget. I told him to get her a HAIR (HAND) DRYER. Mehn! You don't wanna see the message he sent to me at COB. It cost N6800, but the lady was the stargirl of the event. Lmao.

Is all this one because of Valentine? Thank God say na working day. Make I face my work. grin

All my pots are non stick. Just run and come. I'll give you an excuse to say to your boss.

MrColdsweat:
For the past 10years, I've been in 3 long term relationships.

The first lasted for 3 years, she got pregnant for another guy.

The second lasted for 4 years, she was cheating with some stranger who promised her marriage. I had to walk away.

The third one. This is the 4th year in relationship. At the beginning, I knew she was promiscuous. I saw the signs. I tried to change her. At some point, I was convinced that she's changed. I didn't know she got smarter. She cheated a few times but I forgave her.

This night, I discovered that she's been lying to me. In the face of the truth, she was not only lying, she was being manipulative.
I had to end the relationship.

Though I messed up once, but I instantly called her to confess that I cheated and I told her to give me a punishment for cheating.

I don't know how to womanize. It's never been my nature. But I don't think I can continue this cycle of dating and heartbreak. This is 11years of committing to serious relationships.

I'm tired.

Now answer these few questions.

1.When you say "serious relationship " what do you mean?

2. Are you financially and emotionally ready for marriage?

3. How old are you that you have invested 11 years in 3 relationships and did not get smarter?

4.why are you actually dating?

Respond and I'll tell you what you probably know but forgot.

u better say it or yes u are tongue n u know it

I've never been heartbroken. All relationships I'd had we ended without no heartbreak, we agreed because I wasn't ready for commitment at the time. I've dated 3 ladies before I got to the point I am ready for a serious relationship. However, while in those relationships, suitors comes for their hands in marriage and when they get to tell me, I let them go after much understanding conversations. They were all great girls. All married now with 3_2_2 kids.

I have only been disappointed not like dashing my hopes totally but it was a relationship I was hoping to spend my life with but the ogbanje spirit in her won't let her understand that life isn't about flirting and material pleasures. After few years, we had a conversation and I walked out. So, in my own case, I've not been hurt but I was disappointed not like regrettable disappointment but the fact that a lady at this time can't calm down to realize that a man is ready to commit to her.

I am simply amazing. You mightn't understand. I break boundaries and barriers and my desire is for all mankind within my jurisdiction at a time understand the beauty of love, happiness and joy in coexistence.

Peace.
