This post is for my fellow Nigerians and Africans who need an alternative payment system to PayPal in collecting money made from international websites such as Freelancer, Fiverr, ClickBank and so on. You can now easily collect your earnings by simply applying for a free Payoneer Master Debit Card. This card comes with an automatic US Bank Account Number in your name. Best of all, it is free to get. Payoneer is a great PayPal alternative. PayPal’s unethical business practices against Nigeria as one of the limited countries is a well known fact to most o us in the international business arena. PayPal wants to stop us from making money from them while they are making money from us. ( Paypal still remains the most accepted online payment system because of it’s highly secured, but not advisable for Nigerians as it is not yet legal to withdraw into Paypal acct, you can only use it to make payment online for now). On that note, I hereby advocate that Nigerians use e- payment solutions like PAYONEER MASTER DEBIT CARD SYSTEM which is a worthy alternative for Paypal. Receive a US and EUROPEAN collection bank account for commercial payments. Receive and withdraw funds in more than 200 countries, in over 70 currencies 24/7 customer support. Payoneer is a revolution in the online payment system. You can sign-up for free, and get your own prepaid Master Card in 30 days or less. Best of all, you will get $25 on your card when you send, or receive at least $100 (you can Refer friends too). This is the only payment system that gives a free US Bank account, to receive payment as any regular bank account owner. The money will be transferred directly to your card, and of course, you can withdraw money at any ATM worldwide. After signing up for your own payoneer card, you will be required to upload just one valid government issued ID (international passport or Drivers license or Voter’s Card) Note: the details on your ID must correspond with the information you signed up with. The MasterCard is shipped to you free of Charge (by regular mail). Delivery takes between 12 – 25 business days. If you need it urgently however, you can opt to use the Courier Service company option to handle the shipment (not free of charge). Use your Payoneer Card for online shopping: Payoneer is recognized by virtually ALL eCommerce websites in the world – Because, it holds a real U.S bank account. The lawyer representing Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, on Friday told a federal court that no government agency had come forward to claim ownership of the $15.5 million for which his client is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Gboyega Oyewole said the former first lady, Patience Jonathan, had continued to lay claim to the money, even filing a fundamental rights enforcement suit before a court. “Neither the Federal Government nor any of its agencies; neither any state nor its agencies have claimed the fund as their own or that it was stolen from them,” said Mr. Oyewole. The money, which the EFCC had since frozen in four Skye Bank accounts, was opened in the name of the companies – Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited; Seagate Property Development & Investment Co. Limited; Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited and Avalon Global Property Development Company Limited. The companies were arraigned alongside Mr. Dudafa, who served as Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to Mr. Jonathan; Amajuoyi Briggs, a former presidential aide; and Adedamola Bolodeoku, a former Skye Bank official for money laundering, stealing, forgery, and conspiracy before Justice Babs Kuewunmi of the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court. In a dramatic twist on the day of arraignment, last month, all the companies pleaded guilty to the 15-count charge. Messrs Dudafa, Briggs, and Bolodeoku pleaded not guilty before the judge. The judge had adjourned to September 27 for the EFCC to review the facts of the case before he would determine the fate of the companies. But on the date, Mr. Oyewole and Tochukwu Onyiuke, counsel to Mr. Briggs, appeared in court with two separate applications, urging the court to change the plea of the four companies from guilty to not guilty. The Nigerian state of Kaduna has declared the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), the mainstream Shia group led by Shekh Ibrahim Zakzaky, as illegal as a state crackdown against the Muslim community continues. The Kaduna state government warned on Friday that those convicted of being an IMN member could be imprisoned for seven years, fined or both. It further claimed that the Shia group had “overtly continued with unlawful processions” and “obstruction of public highways” since last December when the Army forces clashed with the IMN members. “These acts, if allowed to go unchecked will constitute danger to the peace, tranquility, harmonious coexistence and good governance of Kaduna state,” the Nigerian state added. On December 12, 2015, Nigerian soldiers attacked Shia Muslims attending a ceremony at a religious center in the city of Zaria in Kaduna, accusing them of blocking the convoy of the army’s chief of staff and attempting to assassinate him. The following day, Nigerian forces also raided the home of the IMN leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, and arrested the prominent cleric after reportedly killing those attempting to protect him. A judicial inquiry concluded in August that the Nigerian army killed 348 members of the religious community during the two-day raids. Angela Merkel wasted no time in responding to Theresa May’s comments at the Conservative Party Conference. Angela Merkel has hit back at Theresa May over her plans for maintaining access to the Single Market once the UK leaves the EU. The German chancellor told a business audience in Berlin she would not countenance giving the UK preferential access while allowing it to restrict the free movement of people. Theresa May told the Conservative Party Conference yesterday she wanted to maintain the best possible trading ties with Europe in terms of goods and services, but would not cede the UK’s ability to control immigration. Merkel told business leaders this morning: “If we don’t say that full access to the internal market is linked to full acceptance of the four fundamental freedoms, a process will spread in Europe in which everyone does what they want”. The “four fundamental freedoms” govern the supposedly free flow of capital, goods, services and people across the 28 members of the EU. As talk of a so-called “hard Brexit” gathers momentum in the aftermath of the Conservative conference, Merkel added: “They won’t be easy negotiations”. She also maintained the EU’s stance that it will not begin talking to the UK over the terms of its exit deal before Theresa May triggers Article 50. The Russian Navy’s missile corvette, Serpukhov, sails in the Bosphorus on its way to the Mediterranean Sea, in Istanbul, Turkey, October 5, 2016. (Photo by Reuters) Russia says two of its Buyan-class missile corvettes are heading back to join its forces stationed in the Mediterranean Sea as the conflict in Syria deepens following the US suspension of contacts with Moscow over the Syrian crisis. Captain 2nd Rank Nikolai Voskresensky, a spokesman for Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, told Russian news agencies on Wednesday that the Zelyony The two small missile ships, which embarked on a long voyage from the Crimean port of Sevastopol on October 4, “have passed the Black Sea straits and will enter the Mediterranean waters in the evening,” Voskresensky said. The vessels are set to join the Russian Navy’s “permanent task force in the Mediterranean as part of a planned offshore maritime zone rotation,” the official added. The two ships are returning to the Mediterranean after carrying out missile strikes against militants’ positions in Syria on August 19 as part of their earlier deployment off the coast of Syria. The redeployment comes a day after Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman, Igor Konashenkov, said that his country had dispatched the S-300 surface-to-air missile defense system to Syria in a bid to defend Russia’s naval base in the Syrian city of Tartus. The defection of former Governor Joshua Dariye to the APC was not totally surprising given the long history of animosity between him and the current leaders of PDP on the Plateau and the equally chummy relations between him and the APC leaders as symbolised by Governor Simon Lalong who was one of his sympathisers in the days of his troubles. When penultimate Thursday, Senator Joshua Dariye defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, many in the state received the news with mixed feelings. While those supporting the ruling party welcomed the development, seeing it as an end of the PDP in the state, those in opposition saw the move as inconsequential and at best, a good riddance as they claimed the Senator was not a trusted party man, whom they alleged had always worked at cross-purposes with the party. Senator Joshua Dariye Some PDP stalwarts including state party chairman, Damishi Sango, Deputy Chairman, Amos Gombi, Nde Alexander Mwolwus were among those who welcomed his departure. However, another chieftain, Hon. Bitrus Kaze whom many suspect is also preparing to dump the party disagreed saying that Dariye’s defection was a big blow to the Party. Despite the stance of the chieftains, an emergency meeting was convened penultimate Friday at the state secretariat in Jos where the issue took the front burner. The party caucus at the end of the meeting resolved that Senator Dariye should vacate the seat and a call made to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to conduct fresh election for the Plateau Central Senatorial seat. The Party, in a statement issued after the emergency meeting assured its supporters that Dariye’s “so-called decamping to APC will not change, reduce or affect the popularity of the party in the State in any way” and asked the decamped Senator to relinquish the senatorial seat which he won on the platform of the party. A communiqué of the meeting signed by Hon. Amos Gombi, the State Deputy Chairman, read in part: “The Peoples Democratic Party wishes to categorically state that there is no division or faction in the Party contrary to any insinuations. The Peoples Democratic Party strongly condemns his action and demands that he honourably resigns and vacates the seat of Senator representing Plateau Central Senatorial District having become a member of another political Party before the expiration of the period for which he was elected. The Party Chairman, Damishi Sango, through Gombi stated that he was happy with the defection and the party relieved stressing, “It is cheering news to us; he has never really been a committed member, and this has often caused a lot of confusion among our members. He has always been an enemy from within which is politically very dangerous; his defection did not come to PDP as a surprise. “During electioneering campaigns last year, he worked against the party in the governorship poll, even after winning the Senate seat on its platform. When he went to the Senate, he never associated with the Party and those elected on its platform. His presence was just a setback. Traditionally, he is supposed to call a consultative forum and even empower his constituents, but he has not done that. “Over time, he has always lived in grand deception, so his departure is a breath of fresh air for us. According to reports in Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo’s private jet crashed at Barcelona airport after the plane’s landing gear broke on impact with the runway. The Real Madrid superstar and his family weren’t on the plane when the incident occurred on Monday evening and fortunately nobody was hurt during the crash. The Gulfstream G200 aircraft’s landing gear reportedly malfunctioned as it prepared to land at Barcelona’s El Prat airport. The crash forced the closure of one runway as emergency services worked quickly to deal with the reported £16 million plane. According to The Mirror, a source said of the crash: “The plane is normally rented by companies and it was in use by one of them. “Cristiano Ronaldo, his family or friends were not on the plane. The incident had no major consequences.” More @ http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/cristiano-ronaldos-plane-crashes-at-barcelona-airport-after-fault-with-landing-gear/

Wayne Rooney could return for United. Manchester United face Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk at Old Trafford on Thursday night as they aim to progress in the Europa League. Their bid to qualify from their group got off to a bad start when they lost their opening fixture against Feyenoord at the De Kuip stadium and Jose Mourinho will look to bounce back quickly. What is the latest Man Utd vs Zorya Luhansk team news? Captain Wayne Rooney could return to the side after being dropped for the win over Leicester City in the Premier League last weekend. Luke Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been ruled out and a number of players were not spotted with the squad by photographers when they arrived at their hotel, including David De Gea and Paul Pogba. Phil Jones is still out injured. Expect a number of changes as the Portuguese tries to give every member of his squad some playing time over a busy fixtures period. United will hope to build on a brilliant performance against Leicester City and win their third game on the bounce against Zorya. When Manchester United won their historic treble in 1999, Zorya Luhansk were slugging it out in the Ukrainian third division. The House of Representatives wielded the big stick yesterday, suspending the embattled former Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, Abudulmumin Jibrin for 180 days, the equivalent of a legislative year, for misconduct and a breach of the collective privilege of the House. This is even as the lawmakers passed for a second reading a Bill for an Act to amend the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition Law Enforcement and Administration Act). Jibrin, who by the suspension is not allowed anywhere near the National Assembly Complex, will not to hold any position in the Eighth House. His suspension comes after weeks of speculation and a bitter war of words between him and the leadership of the House. Regardless, his suspension was subsequent to the adoption of the report by the Ossai Nicholas Ossai-led House Committee on Ethics and Privileges on the motion entitled: “Breach of Privileges of Federal Republic of Nigeria (the House), Breach of Privileges of Members of House Representatives, Breach of Practices, Precedents and Usages of the House of Representatives and Sundry Acts of Misconducts against the Members and Institution of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly are contrary to Sections 22 and 30 of Legislative (Powers and Privileges Act), sponsored by Emmanuel Oker-Jev (Benue-APC). Barcelona came from behind to win 2-1 at Borussia Monchengladbach and made it two wins from two in the Champions League this season. An error from Sergio Busquets led to Thorgan Hazard opening the scoring for the hosts in the first half, but goals from Arda Turan and Gerard Pique after the break turned things around. Barca now sit at the top of Group C after Celtic held Manchester City to a 3-3 draw in Glasgow. Positives The team’s reaction after falling behind was also noteworthy: This was the first time this season Barca have won a game after conceding the first goal. As for Turan, he came off the bench in the second half and heavily contributed to the turnaround with a cracking goal. He may feel hard done by not to have started in the absence of Lionel Messi and should be in the mix for a place in Luis Enrique’s side at Celta Vigo this weekend. Negatives Neymar was eventually involved in both of Barcelona’s goals, but he had previously shown signs of frustration. Towards the end of the first half he looked like he may react in a negative way to the crowding he suffered when in possession. Paco Alcacer’s lack of involvement was also a concern. It will take time to settle — especially when minutes are fed in dribs and drabs — but a goal would give him a boost. Manager rating out of 10 7 — Luis Enrique has so many players that he naturally wants to keep fit, fresh and involved, that his rotations sometimes feel forced. Starting both Alcacer and Luis Suarez here was possibly not the best idea but he rectified his mistake with second-half alterations that proved key to the Blaugrana comeback. Player ratings (1-10; 10 = best. Players introduced after 70 minutes get no rating): GK Marc-Andre ter Stegen, 6 — Returning to the club where he spent 18 years of his life, the German goalkeeper was supposed to be one of the game’s main stories. In truth, though, after the rousing reception he was given by home fans when he warmed up, it was a quiet night. There was little he could have done about the Gladbach goal. DF Sergi Roberto, 6 — After his heroics in Gijon on Saturday, this was a much quieter 90 minutes for the converted midfielder. Was positionally sound and comfortable on the ball, but didn’t offer as much in the final third in what was a more even game than the 5-0 win over Sporting. asser Arafat and Shimon Peres share a laugh during a meeting in September 1999 [Pino Farinacci/EPA] The death of Shimon Peres at the age of 93 marks the departure of the last major figure in Israel’s founding generation. He died on Wednesday in a hospital after suffering a major stroke, the Israeli news website Ynet reported, after his condition worsened following a major stroke two weeks ago. Peres – one of the disciples of David Ben Gurion, Israel’s first prime minister – spent his long political career in the public spotlight, but his greatest successes were engineered in the shadows, noted Yaron Ezrahi, a politics professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Peres’ most important task, to which he was entrusted by Ben Gurion, was developing in secret – and over US opposition – Israel’s nuclear weapons programme through the 1950s and ’60s. To that end, he recruited the assistance of France, Britain and Norway. Peres, like his mentor, believed an Israeli bomb was the key to guaranteeing Israel’s status – both in Washington DC and among the Arab states – as an unassailable Middle East power. The testing of the first warhead in the late 1960s was probably at least as responsible for ensuring rock-solid US patronage in subsequent decades as Israel’s rapid victory against neighbouring Arab states in the Six-Day War. Peres’ later diplomatic skills in negotiating peace agreements with Jordan and the Palestinians were exercised largely out of view, too, though he was keen to take the credit afterwards. After a disastrous Euro 2016 campaign, England fired its manager Roy Hodgson and turned to Sam Allardyce. After one game and less than 70 days, he was gone, rocked by a scandal that leaves his reputation all but unrepairable. First things first: Who is Sam Allardyce? Something of a journeyman manager. The 61 year-old transformed Bolton Wanders from a Division One team to a respectable Premier League outfit. Then after a disappointing spell at Newcastle, avoided relegation with Blackburn Rovers, lifted West Ham out of the Championship, and then pulled-off a dramatic turnaround at Sunderland last season. That was enough, after Hodgson’s dismissal, to land him the England job. Over the course of two meetings Allardyce compromised himself in a number of different ways. He made fun of his predecessor’s speech impediment, dogged the Football Association’s decision to rebuild Wembley, and most damning of all, offered advice on how to circumvent the FA’s “ridiculous” rules on transfers. What rules? In 2008, the FA outlawed third-party ownership of players, meaning that only teams can own the rights to players. That may sound weird but it’s actually quite common of certain areas of the globe, like South America. More @ http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/england-manager-dramatically-resigns-after-just-one-game/

Zinedine Zidane took to the media room at Signal Iduna Park on the eve of the Borussia Dortmund clash (Tuesday, 8:45pm CEST), as the Whites’ coach spoke of what will be the key areas in his side’s quest to claim three points: “We’re giving a good account of ourselves wherever we go. We always go out to win our games and that won’t change. We know who we’re coming up against and where we’re playing, but we’re Madrid. We always go out to win”. “I shalln’t be changing the system. I ‘m not thinking about what has happened in the games played at this ground in the past. Each game is different and it’ll be a tough game, just like they all are. We’ll be trying to play our game, like we always do. All that I hope is that it’s a good spectacle”. Type of game “It’ll be a hard-fought game. Borussia are a fine footballing side. They’re a youthful team who have had some changes, but their approach remains the same. We like to play good football and that’s what we’ll be doing”. Cristiano “Everything’s as normal. He’s not the only one who gets angry. Whenever they are brought off, all of the players may well be angry. Our focus is on tomorrow’s game. I took the decision in the interest of the player and that’s that. The fact that all of this is receiving more attention than the game itself is just the way things are. We have to deal with that and we’re relaxed about it. I’m not daft and he’s intelligent. We’re both here for the same thing and not to talk about other stuff”. Keylor or Casilla “You’ll find out tomorrow, I can’t answer that one. I speak to them from time to time and they know my thoughts on it. I can’t tell you what I say to them. The important thing is that they’re both ready and that I can call on them and Rubén too. I have to make the decision and they’re relaxed about it”. Doubts following two draws? The naira sustained its decline on the parallel market as it slipped to N445 to the dollar yesterday, lower than the N440 to the dollar it closed on Friday as pressure and activities of speculators continued to hurt the nation’s currency. But on the interbank FX market, the spot rate of the naira depreciated marginally to N308 to the dollar, as against the N307.79 to the dollar it closed last Friday. The President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON), Mr. Aminu Gwadabe, argued that the current rate of the naira on the parallel market was not a true reflection of the value of the currency. He also attributed the development to the activities of speculators. According to him, the situation in the parallel market was being driven by speculators taking advantage of the poor implementation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) policy requiring banks to sell dollars to bureau de change (BDC) operators. Some currency traders also said the demand from parents buying dollars to pay school fees abroad was exerting pressure on the FX market. To analysts at CSL Stockbrokers Limited, the effects of low oil prices and production disruptions are having significant impact on dollar receipts by the country. “Looking more closely at how the two are working in tandem will provide greater insight into dollar inflows into the country on a daily basis and what this means for dollar liquidity in the market. By multiplying daily production data by average crude oil prices, we derive a basic idea on the amount of hard currency flowing into the economy on a daily basis from the oil sector. Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos played down any notion of a rift between Cristiano Ronaldo and head coach Zinedine Zidane. Ronaldo was substituted 18 minutes from time during Saturday’s LaLiga match at Las Palmas, a decision he appeared unhappy with before Madrid subsided to a 2-2 draw. Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s keenly anticipated Champions League Group F meeting with Borussia Dortmund in his native Germany, Kroos insisted the three-time Ballon d’Or winner was in good spirits. “The stories are bigger than what they really are,” he told a pre-match news conference. “It’s impossible for any player to play up to 60 games per season. “The coach decides who must play and who must be substituted. “Ronaldo trained with the team completely normally, as well as before the last game. He is ready for playing tomorrow.” A more pressing concern to Kroos might be the absence of Casemiro with a fractured leg. Madrid have not tasted victory in the two full games since the Brazilian holding player sustained his injury in the 2-0 win at Espanyol earlier this month. It has meant Kroos adopting a deeper position in Madrid’s midfielder three but the Germany international is taking things in his stride. Afrinvest 2016 Banking Sector report has indicated that the Nigerian banking sector’s profit fell by 28.4 per cent in the 2015 financial year. The report which was released in Lagos, showed that foreign exchange volatility and lower oil price led to a major decline in the fortune of the sector. “The resilience of the Nigerian banking sector was put to the test as elevated risk concerns triggered a spike in NPL ratio and slowed the pace of credit expansion dramatically. Gross loans and advances dipped by 1.9 per cent in 2015 across our coverage universe compared to the 26.6 per cent growth in 2014 as lower oil prices, FX volatility and liquidity concerns dampened risk appetite amidst a hazy economic road map. “Thus, growth in industry gross earnings moderated to 10.3 per cent in 2015 (compared to 14.6 per cent in 2014). At the same time, liquidity in the banking system (especially among Tier-2 banks) was pressured by the TSA implementation, which sterilised approximately N1.2tn from the banking system.” It stated that “as a result, sector profitability was depressed in 2015 with profit before tax tumbling by 28.4 per cent year-on-year as industry NPL ratio spiked to 4.9 per cent from three per cent in 2014. “Furthermore, return on equity moderated to 9.1 per cent from 15.5 per cent in 2014. Capital adequacy ratio was strained on account of revised computation guidelines and increase in general loan loss provisioning, settling at 16.5 per cent in 2015 (relative to 19.7 per cent in 2014). Total deposits dipped by 1.8 per cent to N20.7tn, while total assets (+3.3 per cent ) and liabilities (+1.1 per cent) increased.” More @ http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/buhari-magic-banks-lose-28-profit/

Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on September 18 brutalised a shop owner, shave his hair and stuffed it into his mouth, the victim and a rights group have said. The trader, Abdullahi Ibrahim, told PREMIUM TIMES that he was brutalised based on his stance on a mobile phone charger purchased by a civil defence official in Gombe. Mr. Ibrahim said he refused to replace the accessory, valued at N1,500, after selling it to Bala Yayari, an Assistant Superintendent of the Corps, who later claimed it was defective. Mr. Ibrahim, 25, runs a phone accessories shop at Arawa Market in Gombe town. He said he refused to accede to the officer’s request for replacement because his shop assistant, who sold the Infinix phone charger, tested and certified the accessory as okay before the officer left with it. “Later, the officer returned with the same charger and asked my assistant to replace it. But my assistant insisted that the charger was functional when the officer bought it,” he said. “Then the officer asked for the owner of the shop. They called me on the phone and he asked me to come to the shop immediately or else he would close down the shop.” The trader added that before he “arrived at the shop, the officer had phoned two men of the NSCDC who came in mufti. Twenty-six people were killed when soldiers clashed with members of Islamist militant group Boko Haram in north-eastern Nigeria, an army spokesman said Sunday. The insurgents attacked an army base in the village of Logomani in Borno State with rockets and hand grenades, according to spokesman Colonel Sani Usman. Among the dead were 22 Boko Haram members and four soldiers, the spokesman said. The army regained control over their barracks after about an hour of combat, Usman added. Boko Haram poses a steady threat to communities in the north-east of Nigeria and has also launched offensives in neighbouring Chad, Niger and Cameroon. The group’s goal is to enforce a strict interpretation of Islamic law, known as sharia. Since 2009, at least 14,000 people have died at the hands of the Sunni fundamentalists in Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger. According to the United Nations, an estimated 2.7 million people in the region have fled their homes due to Boko Haram. At least four Chadian soldiers and seven militants from the Nigeria-based Takfiri group Boko Haram have been killed in cross-border clashes in the volatile Lake Chad region. A security source said Sunday that the clashes erupted a day earlier after Boko Haram militants launched a raid from Nigeria on a Chadian military post near the border with Niger. “Around 8:00 pm (1900 GMT) on Saturday night, Boko Haram members attacked the Djoroye border post near the Niger border in the Lake Chad region killing four of our soldiers,” said the sources, adding, “The Chadian army killed seven Boko Haram fighters”. There was no official confirmation from the Chadian military of the attack. Chad is a member of a multinational task force combating Boko Haram across its border with Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon. The force has been created with the aim of preventing a spillover of the militancy to those countries from Nigeria. Boko Haram militants launched a similar cross-border raid on members of the Niger army two weeks ago. Officials in Niger said five soldiers and 30 militants were killed in the clashes that ensued on September 14. More than 20,000 people, mostly Nigerians, have been killed since Boko Haram began waging a militancy in northern Nigeria in 2009. The group has pledged allegiance to Daesh, a Takfiri terrorist group mainly operating in the Middle East. If feelers reaching our news desk is anything to go by, the wife of Nigeria’s former President Goodluck Jonathan will soon have to pay a visit to the EFFC offices anytime soon to explain the issue of the $15.6m that were found in accounts linked to her recently. The EFCC were reported to have recently paid a visit to the Adeola Hopewell branch office of the Skye Bank in order to obtain some information concerning her transactions at the bank. Sources are reportedly saying that the detectives had been able to establish a prima facie case of money laundering and forgery against Patience. It will be recalled that as part of investigations into a former Special Adviser to the President on Domestic Affairs, Waripamowei Dudafa, the EFCC traced four company accounts to him all domiciled at Skye Bank. The bank accounts of the four companies — Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited; Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Limited; Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited; and Globus Integrated Service Limited — were said to have been opened with stolen identities. A detective at the EFCC said, “After three months of investigation, I can confirm to you that we are set to invite Patience Jonathan. We obtained the files from the bank and we realised that those accounts with the $15m were opened with fake identity cards, including driving licences. “We took the cards and went to the Federal Road Safety Corps to verify if the cards were authentic. We found out that the cards were fake. So, this is not just money laundering but a clear case of fraud. If they had nothing to hide, why did they go to this length?” More @ http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/efcc-plans-to-arrest-patience-jonathan-on-15-scandal/

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 47-year-old trader, Uchena Elumadu, for allegedly raping his 15-year-old daughter in the Agege area of the state. Uneekomunikations learnt that each time the Imo State indigene slept with the victim, he would drug her to prevent her from being pregnant. He was, however, caught by his wife, who raised the alarm which drew the attention of neighbours and residents of Martins Street, New Oko Oba, Agege, where the incident happened. The suspect, upon his arrest, allegedly admitted to sleeping with his daughter three times. A police source said immediately the incest was discovered by the girl’s mother on Monday, September 19, the suspect fled the house. He said, “The man has three children, two girls and one boy. The victim is the first child and she is in JSS 3. He had been sleeping with her for a long time. He started sleeping with her in 2015. “It was easy for him because his wife is a casual worker at the airport and she is most times on night duty and does not sleep at home. What he does is to sneak into the room at midnight while the other children are asleep. He will wake the girl up, rape her and give her drugs to prevent pregnancy. “But on September 19, his wife was around. He woke up and went to the room to wake up the girl, not knowing that his wife was awake and observing everything. A fight erupted live on television between two politicians in Georgia, as tensions grew over upcoming elections in the country. The belligerents, Vepkhia Gurgenishvili from the Democratic Movement and Polad Khalikov from the Industrial political bloc, had to be separated by staff at the Qvemo Kartli TV station. A heated panel discussion between the pair on a talk show led to Mr Gurgenishvili calling Mr Khalikov “scum”, who responded by throwing a pen. Second punch-up in a week between MPs in Turkish parliament Mr Gurgenishvili then stood and, despite other panelists trying to call him off, walked towards Mr Khalikov and threw several blows. As the men fought, TV producers were forced to separate them. While instances of politicians resorting to physical violence are practically unheard of in the UK, it is less unusual in other places. In May – prior to the attempted coup which rattled the country – Turkish politicians staged a mass brawl during talks over changes to the constitution. Presidential Adviser on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has stated, in clear terms, that the Bring Back Our Girls Group, BBOG, group would never again be allowed into the presidential villa to protest. The BBOG advocacy, last week, gave President Muhammadu Buhari some tips on how to go about rescuing the captive Chibok Girls abducted since April 14, 2014 by Boko Haram. Ojudu, yesterday, said the group was making the protest look like President Buhari had detained the Chibok girls. Ojudu stated that: “Since the President came to power, he has met with them thrice. And it is looking like look, you are making this thing appear as if I am the one detaining those girls. I am not detaining them. You are only going to protest to me if I am the one detaining them. “If you allow the BBOG to go into the villa everyday to carry out their campaign, what time would the President have to do his work? “Will that not be calling for disorder? In UK, anyone who has something to say goes to Trafalgar Square. The media will meet you there. They don’t enter into 10, Downing Street. 19th September, 2016. By Kingsley Okpoh. If feelers reaching our news desk are right, Manchester United might just part ways with present manager Jose Mourinho in a matter of weeks from now. “He is presently on probabation” according to the rumour mills who went on to say that contacts are still on-going with the present Athletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone on the possibilty of him coming over to Old Trafford. All these are happening of course on heels of three straight match losses by Manchester United – a scenario that even the most doubtful of the ManU fans and opponents alike would never have expected to happen considering the quality of the squad Manchester United is presently having. It was also not so difficult to see that very much unlike the old Jose Mourinho, there were glaring tactical coaching errors in all of the three matches. In the match against Manchester City for an example, Ibrahimovich despite scoring Manchester United’s only goal of the match, wasted too many clear goal chances and should have been replaced early in the second half at most. So should Rooney. More @ http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/is-mourinhos-job-on-the-line/
