otokx:
The BDC are very greedy, after buying $ at 197 they will go and sell 287+ to fellow Nigerians.

That is how we just deceive and oppress ourselves in this country.

NEPA will bring bill when there is hardly and light.
How much are banks selling?

First off, the brain child of the site started before the wahala of nairaland started. You will not blame the youngman for creating a site which promotes his people.

I found out that igbos tend to be too clannish and self-centered. The only problem about the site is the name. Liberty has taken time to create some threads talking about the east . We all Contributed immensely to the thread. I dont know why you guys were angry. Forget the name and contribute. So that we can have more intelligent minds in discussions.

Let's make do with what we have now and let's see it grow. I know the admin and he is a listener. He will definitely accomModate every state.

You are all invited, it is not the right time to be clannish. Let's forget the name and promote its Content. Its for all.
No one is angry its the promoters of the site that were angry that we are not following the site and still contributing to nairaland.

Enough of all this silly propaganda!! If you say Metuh is guilty and you have proof of that what is stopping you from charging him to court?

All The EFCC does is to detain someone and next start releasing unsubtantiated stories about the person to the pro-APC media outlets like PUNCH,Sahara reporters!!! Take Metuh to court and let us hear directly from him!!! Enough of all this drama
This is why Nigeria will never develop. People of low morals are here shouting for tire, petrol and lighter.

This goes to show how recalcitrant Nigerian Politicians are. This is the exact reason why PMB is the right choice 4 President,we need a very stern, uncompromising and unwavering person who is masses centred. The fact dat the budget entails some measure of borrowing is anoda bad news to corrupt Politicians.PMB isn't going to borrow a dime. Why borrow when trillons are in the hands of u people. So expect no sympathy from Magu.He will make ur life miserable until u return d money
Yes let them make life miserable instead of going through the right process afterall the president is a known dictator and tyrant.

Why should he return it? Give me a good reason. Let me tell you all these EFCC political witch hunting will amount to nothing unless they resort to jungle justice which they r trying to do now.

marbee:
why conclude quickly that your wife acted as a mistress to her politician ex boyfriend?

with no evidence, you just got a call from someone and you believe?

And your next reaction was that your wife should pack her load and leave YOUR house?

Your writeup shows that you don't trust and value your wife of 15yrs.
My sister its not about evidence. This is marriage and there are codes of ethics involved. On what basis under the heavens will a wife leave home so far away to work for an ex boyfriend?

Olodo, sharia is also a form of judiciary. But it gives an even more appropriate punishment for the likes of dasuki
As long as we operate under a democratic govt, the judiciary cannot be scrape. Olodo!

Judiciary should be scrapped sef. How can somebody steal 30 trillion naira and pay 5 million naira fine?

Bet me, if dasuki is allowed to go free by 2019 pdp will come out to tell us that the war against corruption was just a blatant lie since nobody was jailed
Scrapped in place of what? Sharia?

olawalepopoola:
It is a sorry case for Nigerians who recently opened a petition asking for President Muhammudu Buhari's resignation. It is a pity that most Nigerians wobbles in deceit and derailed from facts!
The judiciary system of Nigeria is in shambles! How can a man that stole billions of naira all in the name of arms deal #dasukigate be granted bail! Kudos to DSS for a job well done! Isn't that stupid of a nation trying to clear its name from international corruption list!
How can a man that almost plunge a nation into the 2nd civil war all in the name of fighting for Biafra be freed without proper interrogation! Infact Nigeria judiciary system is a sham!
Singing: Nigerians go see white and tell you say that thing red! Tell me something I no know!
Rich man go de ha la say mo dupe! Poor go de cry ha wahala re!
Rich man wea still money we no de see their for CRIME fighter! Poor wea steal money we de see their names for cry fighter tell me something I no know!
Nigerians Lawyers aren't just worth to be carried solicitors!
If you want dictatorship then come out straight and say so. In a democratic setting the courts are supreme.

His lack of mechanism to moderate his animal instinct and the unitary powers granted by a devious Nigerian constitution.

PoliticsRe: Don’t Make English, Maths Compulsory For Students Seeking Admission – Okorocha by Unemadu: 6:17pm On Nov 29, 2015
Idrismusty97:
He should have just said English. As for Maths it all depends on the student choice of study, A science student must have credit in Maths. Even now they are some courses that a credit in Math is not all that important. English is overrated.
English is not overrated because it's Nigeria's official language and language used for education. So as long as we are still Nigeria it should be compulsory.

IGBOPRINCE:
I didn't even think deep about the title of the thread. Enugu state ,pride of the east..hahaha. is funny though, It s really the pride state of the east though.
don't mind me, Enugu city is structured with good roads and fine houses, but they should extend their development to rural areas just like anambra state.
Anyway with such title, there is no go area for criticising the state govt.
At your last statement, sorry if you misunderstood me, I'm not the only person who has seen the world around. But our igbos brothers should take it easy with their close brothers from the same east. That s my own concerns. Don't step on people's thread to mocked them biko, as if your state had the most developed state in the world.
Like I say, forgive me if my statements hurts.

We re igbos and we deserves oneness in every gaddem things..angry
Get lost my friend..you're a hypocrite. You say u hate when igbos compare yet you are here comparing two states.

He was only told to post beautiful pictures instead of searching for ugly scenes to show. This thread has mostly the good side of Enugu and those familiar with Enugu know that many of those roads being repeatedly posted here have dilapidated over time. I was in Enugu earlier in the year and made the observation but I refused to come here and post them as a way of ridiculing Enugu. I will only write it out and then move on. When I get something beautiful from Enugu I will post. Thats the spirit I want among Igbos which many of you have refused to see because of Jonathan/Buhari politics. If we want to criticise our fellow Igbo States we can do that without pictures and most importantly at the right quaters not on Nairaland.
You have zero credibility in this matter.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Unemadu: 5:59am On Nov 18, 2015
IGBOPRINCE:
you can post pix in imo state nwanna..
But you need to show them or explain to them the location/area that is still bad in their state..
The whole city in the east is not perfects at all nwanna..
But I know there re good places which I admired so much and there are good places and bad places in owerri too. If I were you,
I would have post the good side of owerri first to start with and tell them where was bad and not ok till date
but I guess you started with bad pix to mock them first and they picked offence grin And they felt bad and see you as a foe. cheesy
You mocked imo state bro and also ridiculed the east and that affects us as the fighters of the west/s/waste.sad
I am not even happy about some pictures you guys posted here and there whenever you re fighting each other like animals as if there s a medal or gold to be won.sad

I laugh a times because if you have travels to some places outside the country in the west. You will marvel at what they called development of roads and areas.

Lagos to me is still learning.
Enugu is still learning.
Imo is still learning.
Rivers is still learning
Kano state is just learning.

Which other places is ok in nigeriahuh Abeg make una park one side biko.
This reasons for setting up a thread like imo thread, anambra thread and abia state thread is to criticised their government but you guys re here criticising each other and trying to tell us enugu is better than anambra is better than imo..ndi ara..angry

Anyway, I don't blamed you guys, I pray you travels and see what they call city..
Sorry if my statement may hurts any readers but the truth is that ndigbos dey fvckup atimes.

Look at yoruba thread, they re getting to 245 pages, see the unification of southwest youths coming together to discussed their states, their cultures, their traditions, their government and what is happening around them.
You guys re just here holding a slogan like ( onye obuna zaa afa nna ya).
I am worried because maka na umu igbo o buna bu umu nne m.
Chukwu gozie nuu.

I rest my case.
Shalom..
Look at the title of the threads and tell me if they were set up to criticize their govts. That being said plenty people have proffered solutions for developing our state so we know that we are lagging behind so stop acting like you are the only one who has seen the world.

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Unemadu: 4:45pm On Oct 11, 2015
The problem is lack of transparency in govt. otherwise i would have said taxation is the only way to address infrastucture deficit in the east. Tax on petrol and tolls are the best ways to go about those projects.

kITATITA:
I support fiscal federalism and devolution of powers so that each region will become more competitive. But the talk of secession is nonsense. Most of the states are not viable and depend on federal allocation. We are not harnessing our human resources. We are not even harnessing our natural resources. Everything is about oil. Oil price has gone down and we are heading towards recession.
have the states/regions always been dependent on FG? were they not doing better in the days of old?
PoliticsRe: Are SS And SE More Corrupt Regions In Nigeria? by Unemadu: 4:29am On Oct 09, 2015
kingdompropty:
Correction:

1. SE, SS have the highest intolerance for oppression.

2. Fashola stole Lagos blindly the Yoruba want him to be rewarded, while the want Odua stoned.

3. Fayemi furnished his room with 150m, the Yoruba wants him rewarded but wants Okonjo Iweala imprisoned.

4. Tinubu will go down in history as a drug baron, certificate cheat and big crook, ironically he is Yoruba leader but Ekweremadu must be bombed.

5. I can continue to mention names of the biggest thieves in history of Yoruba extraction, yet they are daily celebrated.

SE / SS are great people and I must tell you that Amaechi will someday atone for his sins in Niger Delta.

Yorubas have a name. Hypocrites.
You be correct man

I disagree with you sir, agbani was unknown if not for chimaroke who moved ESUT there and also influence the sitting of the law school there. I don't think agbani would be this developed if not that chimaroke was from that area
Now it depends on what he meant by govt presence thats why i put it in quotation marks.

He says no govt presense in Nsuka but by your definition there is because UNN is there.

Nsukka is the most underdeveloped and underutilized part of Enugu state. No government presence there at all
There is no "government presence" anywhere else except state capitals in Nigeria
