For those who know Nigeria political history very well, seeing these two together truly confirms that politics is all about interest.

The common interest here is obviously Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
With this news, prices of goods and services have greatly reduced.

Tulsaguy:
I can read between the lines. I am not a prophet or soothsayer but I understand politics to an extent.

Tinubu & Osinbajo can NEVER break rank. You can take that to the bank. Osinbajo is either working for Tinubu's emergency or Tinubu is working for Osinbajo's emergency.

Do you think suddenly, I meant all of a sudden DANGOTE TRAILER will just easily pass through the midst Jagaban and the Starboy Osinbajo, Tinubu's Attorney General for 8 years or so? THINK AGAIN!

It's one of these two that's happening:

1. Tinubu knew clearly he would have opposition from within. He plans for betrayal even from you even if you are in bed with him. He definitely knew almost all of them that formed APCheat are ambitious criminals, who want to rule Nigeria by any means. He could have asked Osinbajo to get in the race, to mop up delegates who are pro-Osinbajo for himself during the primary. It's just to tell them who to vote for while the star boy back out. grin

Difficult right? Doesn't even make sense huummm? Don't underestimate Jagaban.

2. Tinubu may have intention to run, but back out to support Osinbajo candidacy. But as a bad ass political juggernaut, having sample the pulse of Nigerians, & the cabal that don't want him, due to this thinking that he won't be easily controlled and the fact that there is an aura of thievery around him, he might have been in the race to protect his star boy. Knowing fully well that the power that be in the North want AMECHI, and other interests who would want to create problems for his primed joker.

Jagaban won't step down, so that people don't code his game plan, APCheat will do the primary and he will lose to Osinbajo. He would publicly accept the results and declared support for who the party elected at the primary (the star boy). In fact, Many of us here in Nairalan will hail him for being a party man. It's all part of the game.

But I tell you with pin point accuracy, SW will be represented on the APCheat ticket. Even you cannot trust Ayo Adebanjo of PDP, Jagaban has his receipts.

Politics is a game in Nigeria.

Hint:

1. SanwoOlu, Lagos houseboy was in Osinbajo's residency along with other APC Governors on SUNDAY night before Starboy declared to run. Remember, you all saw him declared early morning the following day.

2. SanwoOlu, the Lagos Houseboy stood right behind Tinubu on MONDAY when he made the infamous remarks that he doesn't have a son old enough to contest against him in the APC primary. That's a day after hobnobbing with Osinbajo the star boy.

Does SanwoOlu has the liver to dance to both drum beats from Jagaban and Osinbajo on opposing sides.? You answer is as good as mine.

I leave you to imagine what Obasa and his house of assembly would have used to welcome him from Abuja.

hammermcc:
Only in third world African countries do people bury the dead in their compound.even south Africa does not practice such . burying of the dead in their compound is bad for real estate.
I have mentioned on my other thread that Nigerian needs real estate land reform. we can not afford the current method if Nigeria will be developed.

In fact , most Nigerians do not pay property tax . and yet you expect roads and street lights and public amenities to be fixed? there needs to be compulsory property tax which will deter people from thinking the land belongs to them forever and therefore burying dead on the land.
people should pay heavy property tax if they want to own a home. if you can't afford property tax then rent an apartment.
All the taxes collected by the government, have they been able to account for it? Is it not looting they are looting the money?
Stamp duty, #50 for every #10k receive or transfer, what are they using it for?
Tax increase of 5% to 7.5%, what have they used it for?
Foreign countries that collect property tax, are you not seeing what they are using it for?
PoliticsASUU, Ssanu And Nasu Strike by Unigrad(op): 8:58am On Apr 28, 2022
It's unfortunate that strike has become a norm in Nigeria system. These bodies of unions listed (ASUU, SSANU and NASU) are on strike and the Nigeria university educational system has been grounded for months now as a result of lack of funding by the federal government. The federal government claimed there is no fund to meet the unions needs.
Some months ago, President Buhari donated $100m to another country, few days ago, minister of labour and minister of state for education bought APC presidential form for #100m, the money for them to do consultations are not there.
Who are these politicians deceiving?
Nigerians, be wise.
EducationRe: ASUU Strike: No School In Kogi Has Been On Strike In The Last 5 Years by Unigrad: 6:40pm On Apr 24, 2022
onojaintegrity:
Aside from security, Nigeria's education system is in disarray. Nigerian higher education institutions have been closed for several months as a result of strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other associations, with the exception of those in Kogi State. And it's made worse by the fact that the federal government appears to have exhausted all options for dealing with this never-ending threat.
Federal University, lokoja is on strike.
Change your statement. You can say, no state schools in kogi is on strike.

While it may not occur to some Nigerian parents that strikes have a negative impact on their young undergraduate children, experts are aware that idleness or unnecessarily long breaks from class can lead to young people engaging in unhealthy activities. Peharps, this could be a major contributor to the rising social vices and internet fraud by young people.

Strikes in Nigeria's education system require an immediate solution, and only those who can figure it out should be the ones Nigerians are expected to focus on in the coming elections.

When you think of an uninterrupted schooling system today, Kogi State and its governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, immediately come to mind.

The governor was not lying when he said, "IN KOGI STATE, OUR SCHOOLS DO NOT GO ON STRIKE." It has been confirmed that no school in the confluence state has gone on strike in the last half of a decade. It is actually no magic, the young governor ensured the students get the best out of their time in school. He employed policies and swiftly implemented them.

In Nigeria, strikes and other issues are wreaking havoc. Students' academic performance suffers as the strike continues. Students' reading abilities deteriorate when learning is interrupted for an extended period of time. Some students even forget what they learned in school. As a result, some students become certificate-seekers rather than knowledge-seekers, lowering productivity and producing low-quality students.

Also, if university lecturers go on strike for an extended period of time, the state and federal governments will lose billions of dollars in revenue from compensating academics for services not delivered after the strike, as well as the cost of maintaining university-owned utilities such as vehicles and generators.

In addition to the financial loss to universities, concerned education observers have noted that the strike has a negative impact on the quality of university graduates because time lost due to strikes that should have been used for delivering quality learning is not gained after the strike. This explains why there are so many half-baked graduates in this situation.

Furthermore, as a result of the strikes, some young people are losing faith in education and turning to dangerous vices that may jeopardize their future. We are in grave danger as a country as a result of this evolution.

Nigerian students have joined other organizations to persuade the public that there are other reasons besides security to give Governor Bello a chance to reform the country.

It is said that in Kogi schools, teachers are happy, students are happy, and parents are happier.

While many children in Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory remained out of school, students at Kogi State University, renamed Prince Audu Abubakar University, and other schools in the state are wrapping up sessions and preparing to start another without a hitch.

Yahaya Bello is said to be enthusiastic about education. Perhaps because he is a young person or because he is well-versed in modern realities. If Nigerians truly want reformation in its education sector, Bello will certainly fix it. This again is another hope for 2023.

Any governor in the state that have not implemented the #30,000 minimum wage is demonic.
With the tremendous rises in good and services and transportation fares caused by government bad policies, #30,000 minimum wage should be implemented without any delay.
#30,000 minimum wage is no longer enough, I wish there can be increase.
