What I have to say is this, is like op have turned himself to something else or blind to see anything.
Governor Obaseki is not a saint, he has tried in alot of things, why not give him kudos for it than playing the spoilt game because of politics or political and personal gains?
I'm not a politician, I'm just a voter and a full Benin guy from Edo State. I have stayed majority of my life in Edo state, I followed the state politically so I can't be deceive. Have been following op on all his posts against the governor which you know some of the things you posted are lies just for you to deceived the innocent and people here who is not from Edo State nor reside in Edo State. I went to AAU around February this year, I was so marvelled with what I saw compare to what I saw when I was there about 5years ago, my sister graduated from the school, she so much said alot of the development the Governor Obaseki have done in that school, why not give him credit for it even if he is using state money, he can't decide not to do anything there because he can get away with it because of our governmental system. Are you telling me you have not see the roads done and the once under constructions?
Let's play things out rightly, if not for anything but for our conscience sake.
Note: Have not meet the governor once neither has he given me anything, have only saw him on TV, I know he is not being vocal on his achievements like Oshiomole, to my assessment, he tried in so many areas but not all.

I'm glad you mentioned "Reconstruction" meaning since four years obaseki didn't construct a single school in Edo state, you even added training of teachers to make the list longer.

Infrastructures:

The Edo buses you mention, it's not up to 10 in Edo state. During oshiomole era it was working around Benin. Obaseki just killed everything.

Edo production centre: I followed everything about that, he said he'll build over 5 of that around Edo state senatorial district, he only build one in Edo south and abandoned the rest.

I don't want to hear renovation as part of his achievement because it's shameful, I've never seen when kaduna, Kano or ebonyi governors are posting their achievement, they don't even mention renovation..

The cars he bought for Edo security outfit is no where to be found.

As for housing, emotan garden is abbadoned I've been to there myself, even though it was a joint private effort just like ossiomo power project, obaseki couldn't commissioned anyone in four good years.

All the schools Oshiomole renovated and chairs he bought for the schools, were they all not substandard and are they all not bad before he left government? I am not directly saying the Governor is a saint but he tried in some areas of governance and you have to give credit for that.
If I have my way, I will prefer with vote someone who have not tasted political position before but in Nigeria, we go for party and what we can gain as an individual.

I'm from Edo State, I can attest to this, it's so correct. You didn't include stopping of ticketing by agberos lead by Tony Kabaka and co. If you were in Edo State during Oshiomole government when Tony Kabaka were in charge of all the ticketing, beating of bus, car drivers, market men and women were on daily basis but it's no more since the government of Obaseki. Introduction of technology in collecting government revenue.
Governor Obaseki have not also borrow a dime to fund his projects.
Also, no state institutions have gone on strike because they are paid their salaries as when due.
I think his rating is more than 65%

Edo needs infrastructure and not audio policies and mou, we have the money and it's a pity you are celebrating renovation and painting of state sec as achievement, would a local govt chairman list renovation and painting of secretariat and stadium as an achievement? Talking about education, the previous administration started the red roof revolution in edo schools but today were are we ?

the last administration paid #25k, for how long? was it? was it not at the almost end of the administration? Did Governor Obaseki not continue with it?
Can you tell me what Oshiomole did with the#30B water storm project money he borrowed from world bank and other money he borrowed?

I'm from Benin City, though I don't have the pics of what the Governor Obaseki have done so far because I have not bothered to snap any but have seen some with my eyes. Most of the road Oshiomole did were all bad but the Governor is fixing them again example is 5 junction, ring road that's police station road, siluko road, lucky road etc. He has done alot of roads in GRA, he is fixing Ekehuan barack road, he has also refixed the stadium and other sporting facilities in the state. He did TV road too. Have seen a number of schools he renovated, some I can remember is Emokpae primary school, Usi primary school, I saw some schools in ugbowo renovated by him. He paid all the state workers salaries before 25th of every month even in this pandemic. He is also paying pensioners and gratuity. He has not borrowed anything since he came to government. He was able to stop agberos that disturb and beat bus drivers and market men and women. Bus drivers now pay 1200-1400 as against 2500-3000 before his government. Because of this pandemic, he stopped the payment. Before this pandemic, payment now goes to government directly because of the technology he introduced in collecting the money and not through individuals. He is also building a big central park in Ring road, as at the last time I passed there, the work as gone far. He has build a power station, he is standing the poles now that will supply electricity to street lights, government facilities and hospitals and some resident areas.
I went to AAU early this year, what I saw, I was so impressed compare to what it is in before this administration, AAU and other indigence can attest to this fact, gigantic works are still on going. The school don't strike as before.
He also worked with the Oba of Benin to stop CDA in communities in Benin City and Edo in general. If you are an Edoites in Edo and in diapora, you will understand this benefits.
I didn't write this because I have gained anything from the governor, these are the things I saw with my eyes and nothing less. From my point of view, he tried but it can't be 109% because he is a man and not God. I think he has to continue, he is the best candidate so far.

We the Edoites knows the antics Oshiomole and co were trying to use to stop Governor Obaseki, he has failed. We will vote for Governor Obaseki, we can't vote a steal who we cannot trust with Edo state money. We can't vote who will bring agbero to Edo State, Edo State money can't go to few greed pockets.

That you suspect Assembly folks may turn around to impeach you does not give you any right not to swear them in. Let them be sworn in first then let other politics continue from there. Remember these are representatives of constituencies. Meaning that 14 LG have no representation in the Assembly. Meaning that the salary of those folks won't even be paid.
Look at it this way, so the President can also refuse to inaugurate the senate or Reps of reps if his party is in the minority? Or bring someone from his minority party, or even from his group of friends, take them to Aso Rock at midnight for inauguration and claim its only them he will recognize.

After the inauguration, what stops the 14membees from going to the house to be inaugurated? I saw when 2members when to be inaugurated, what stops others? or the Governor or speaker should go beg them?. I read about the Speaker calling them to come inaugurate. The clerk of the house said they have not fulfill some of the requirements needed to be inaugurated, did they argued it?
Was the inauguration not done in the house of assembly?

The success/failure of this venture can only be seen if they APC end up winning Edo state by Sept. If they lose Edo state, then all they did and have done would be in vain and will serve as a lesson to future intra party relations.

Buhari is a failure here. Is it after the damage has been done that they're now coming out to blame Obaseki for not accepting peace. He Buhari should has warned Obaseki long ago and applied serious pressure for those 14 Assembly men to be sworn in instead of just appealing to him. Had Obaseki sworn in those folks I believe all these issues would not have escalated. And if he Obaseki happens to win again by Sept. I bet he'll never swear them in till they all leave office. I wonder how a man could have such cold hatred for people elected by their constituencies just like himself.

Buhari- should have been strict on Obaseki and threaten party sanctions if he Obaseki still refuses to swear in those Assemby guys. Buhari came out too late to get involved.

Oshiomole - Should have been quietly visiting Buhari and urging him to lead the battle. After all he Buhari is the practical party head. Oshiomhole was fighting a battle Buhari should have fought.

Tinubu - Should have told Oshiomole to either convince Buhari to go against Obaseki or forget the battle.

Obaseki - Should have had a forgiving heart and settled the Edo crisis. He seems to me like someone ready to fight while forgetting that negotiations are also part of the battle.

Those are my view.

One thing you failed to understand is you can not rule out personal interest from politics. Obaseki as a governor is privy to some secret information that we might not know. I think he got an information that Oshiomole was trying to use the 14members and others to impeach him, Obaseki has no choice than to play a fast one on them. Don't forget, Oshiomole boys like Samson Osagie, Tony Kabaka were already boasting that Governor Obaseki is not coming back, they will show him the way out. Have you forgotten what Oshiomole did when he came in as Governor of Edo State when PDP was having majority in the house? He got an information that PDP members are planning to impeach him, he quickly took minority APC members to the government house for plenaries and shut out the majority PDP members in the lies that he wants to renovate the house. Let's not lie to ourselves, if you were in Governor Obaseki position, you will do same thing to retain your position and relevance. Are you happy with what happened to Ambode?
Do you also forget how the Edo state ministry of Education got burned on the wake when Oshiomole certificate was under contention?
Politicians can do anything to save their position or even move higher.
That's the bad situations we found ourselves.
