It depends on the topic of your research. If there is no expert to guide you properly in your school then you might have problems.

There are professors to guide me. One internal and one external professors to supervise PhD work in my school.

If UK is your interest, you do HCPC, it will cost you Money and work experience. What you graduated with, doesn't matter. If it's Canada or US, you write ASCPi exam, 2.2 write it. It will cost you Money and reading.

In clinical practice, it won't affect you, you need the license to practice.
If you have interest in Lecturing, you can do Masters and PhD in Medical Laboratory Science. I heard some federal Universities will want you to get a PhD degree before they can accept you as Lecturer 1 because of the 2.2. It's not really easy to graduate with 2.2 in MLS sef. Go for more post graduation trainings to compact your CV.

If you have decided on the course you want to do your masters, get a candidate in both schools that are doing same proposed course, find out how the program is run in both schools. Some department in some schools are very slow in postgraduate program, some still have backlog of 2016 set that they have not graduated. Some students abandoned some Programs half way because of the nature of the department. What you will be checking is, do they graduate students on time? Some departments are very slow in some schools. Take this advice from me.

If he or she graduated with 2.1 or 1.1, he can do masters and go into lecturing. If he or she graduated with 2.2, he should do Masters and PhD to enter in lnto lecturing. If he or she graduated with a third class, he or she should do PgD in anatomy, masters and PhD, then venture into lecturing.
You can do MPH in public health and work in NGOs.
You can look for scholarship in USA university for Masters or PhD. You can get PhD admission in USA universities if you have good CGPA, write GRE and TOEFL, have good statement of purpose and 3 recommendation letters.
