Romance › Re: Marriage! by unmask: 11:18pm On Apr 07, 2020 |
Swiitdoll: Is it normal to have no desire to get married? I’m 24, getting my life together still, in a relationship for abt a year now but I somewhat just don’t see a man in my future. I’ve thought about adopting a kid in about 11-13 years from now when I’m more financially stable to give the kid a loving home. But everyone thinks I’m not normal. I’m also happy to attend my friends wedding as some are already getting married, I just don’t feel it’s for me at all It is perfectly normal...... marriage is one of society's creation used to define normal. However, it is perfectly normal for anyone not to want to get married or put another way "pressured" to get married. Look at it this way. Marriage is meant to enhance your life right? But if at any point in time you weigh the pros and cons of marriage and the cons outweigh the pros, then why should you get married or want to get married? As it stands there are very few people in this country that have been able to rise above the "I must marry" mentality and you being one of them I say congrats.....you have taken charge of one personal choice society always feel they have a right to dictate. |

CSTR2: Innoson is not running away.
Taking a risk of 4 billion naira is not the worst way to spend money, compared to how much waste takes place everyday in govt. The machine is 7 million why can't he make a prototype that works and watch the orders pile in..... prototypes show you can do what you say |

mekaboy: Dyson was never interested in making ventilators till they were consulted. It was after they were consulted that they designed the new Covent ventilators. This will still be tested to ensure it meets requirements before they are used. The UK has already placed other for 10,000 and this is the first of the kind of ventilators. Which might or might not meet requirements. But they are willing to take the chance with a local company. The UK made a call for companies to help with the shortage of ventilators. Dyson and a host of companies took up the challenge. Dyson has announced theirs. Nigeria is yet to make that announcement. A businessman with foresight sees that there will be a need for that and he realises he can produce it. Emphasis on CAN. What he then needs to do is to produce a prototype and present to the government. Now while other firms are making prototypes and sending it for testing he is waiting for a largess. The truth is if there is ever a ventilator glut, he would have lost out big time |

mekaboy: Is it not when government shows interest that they request for prototypes? Or are you requesting for prototypes on behalf of government online?
He knows how he produced ambulance, fire trucks and police Van's for government. So he knows why he is asking the government to show interest before he does this. He understands government more than you do.
Air peace onyema did not wait for government before he went and airlifted Nigerians from south Africa. What happened next? Scandal of money laundry and his name was dragged to the mud. The same Nigerians that hailed him for what he did, came online to call him a thief, claiming he was fronting for jonathan and corrupt thieves. We know you people. That is not how these things work. We have established one fact he is in it for the money (Basis: he is rich enough to do it for free). And a businessman knows he has to prove he is able to do something to the buyer and that is where prototype comes in. A small scaled product available to undergo certification process with the relevant authorities. And no you don't know me..... I don't play tribal or religious cards.....sorry to disappoint |

PHIPEX: Yes he does. No he doesn't. All these manufacturing proceses are scaled. A plant is only required for mass production |

PHIPEX: What stops a serious govt in need of saving lives of its citizens from calling the company to ask of prototype? That shows commitment not when a govt is indifferent. When that kind of call is made it is to established companies that already produce the required item. E.g A bank calling a cash counter company. A bank won't call a pure water company that claims it can produce cash counting machines without first seeing a prototype. |

Politics › Re: Bashir Ahmad's Response To Innoson On Ventilator Offer by unmask: 9:22am On Apr 04, 2020 |
PHIPEX: No serious businessman makes such huge investment for a demand that could be over in less than 4 months except the company wants to go into such production for a long term which is not the case we are having. You dont build refinery because NUPENG is on strike and fuel is scarce, that's what you are asking Innoson to do.
The demand for ventilators has a very short span and very unpredictable, only a guaranteed order can make any serious company make such a huge investment in it. That also explains why it's still scarce otherwise every Tom Dick and harry will divert to it in other countries.
GM can now produce because Trump has given an order. Why haven't Toyota and Honda started? It's simply because they haven't gotten a concrete order and Japan is not in dire need of it like Nigerian. Does he need to modify his plant to produce a prototype? |

mekaboy: You are in no position to determine what he can and cannot do . The same innoson with very little capacity is the one GTB a whole corporate entity went into his account to steal funds from.
Even if he assembles parts from china, is the end product not a car?
The main point here is that government has to reach out to know what he needs to support in the production. Does he need to fly in more chinese partners? Does he need waivers to bring in parts?
Nigeria is so unstable, ventilators cost much and it's not something you jump into producing for government. They could end up taking it on credit and wont pay after the pandemic.
There is alot that goes into such and he knows why he is making himself available if the government needs assistance.
The UK government placed order for 10,000 ventilators from Dyson. They started to work on it after Boris Johnson called the owner of the company to request. Their major product is not ventilators, but they had to on request of the government. That's how things are done.
You dont sit in the comfort of your room producing nothing and determine what someone who started from scratch to build a multibillion naira business can and cannot do.
This is beyond you. modify your Dyson story to the fact that Dyson produced a prototype, before orders were made..... I don't see why there is an issue here. If you can do it, produce at least one or two and the orders will fly in. This is not tribalistic it is basic business. If not every company that assembles anything will ask the FG for 4bn to produce ventilators. If he really can do it, he should produce a prototype and present to the FG. If it is rejected without concrete reasons only then can we begin to condemn them. And he should act fast, because while he is waiting for the Govt, someone else is preparing a prototype |
Politics › Re: Bashir Ahmad's Response To Innoson On Ventilator Offer by unmask: 8:57am On Apr 04, 2020 |
PHIPEX: Did FG ask Dangote to refine some litres of fuel first before he got govt backing to build refinery? Govt should always support critical sectors, that's how countries grow not by begging. You produce your design before it gets approved even before your lenders agree to give you money. Your analogy is flawed. He should produce a prototype if he is serious about it. Then the commitments can begin |

No doctor wants to lose a patient...their humanity, okay, so why not talk to their patients and console them?? why pray to God, why didn't they hold a meeting and brainstorm on ideas to curb the pandemic and deaths, read me well, they have gotten to a place of total surrender, where all their expertise has failed, and they had to surrender all to God, that doesn't mean they won't work, but they needed a higher power to help. I would think it would be better for all medical workers to stop work and start a 7 day dry fast..... that would be more effective, don't you think so? |

I have seen videos of doctors......it is their humanity at work. No doctor wants to lose a patient. In the end scientists will discover the cure. If you say that science is overwhelmed, they can just as well go to their houses and pray that people get healed..... question is would that be sensible? |

JKisOK: In the great march of time and eras, some things permissible became outlawed.
For example, Abraham married his father's daughter, his stepsister (Genesis 20:12).
When Amnon attempted to do sex with Tamar (his stepsister, i.e. his father David's daughter by another woman), it was described as a thing of shame.
2 Samuel 13:12-13 "And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly. And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee."
Amnon eventually had carnal knowledge of Tamar and his indiscretion unleashed a series of events that eventually took his life. but in this same passage you quoted, she said "speak to David he will not withhold me from thee" which meant it wasn't wrong.....she only wanted it to be done the right way |
Family › Re: My Brother Is Sleeping With Our Cousin by unmask: 6:08am On Apr 01, 2020 |
JKisOK: Actually, the principle is that of societal condemnation or approval. If the society comes together to rule a conduct as wrong, Heaven sanctions that rule and .
Mt 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Mt 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Mt 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
And in some communities, some spiritual forces, demons or angels, have been invoked to enforce the rules and punish violators. This is only for the deep! so has heaven sanctioned homosexuality in the west? Because the society has come together to rule the conduct as right |

Once went to computer village to get a phone for my brother, but I did not take any cash. So I saw one guy selling Nokia N75 on the street and he asked if I was interested and I said yes....Then we negotiated and settled at a ridiculously low price of 15k for a phone that was about 55k. So I told the guy I needed to withdraw money from the bank.....carried him to Ikeja mall that had skye bank on the first floor. While we were strolling to the bank I noticed another guy was trailing but I said nothing. When we got to the ATM, There was a queue so I pretended to make a call and asked the guy to stay on the queue for me (I actually wanted to see if the other guy I noticed was hanging around) and like I suspected the dude was waiting for food to be served After I withdrew the money..... I gave it to the guy and asked him to count.....while he was counting....I went through the phone and ensured it still worked. After that we shook hands as we were descending the stairs I suddenly stopped and told him I needed to get something in the bank (skyebank). Dude became very confused as I turned around and was heading towards the bank. After he recollected himself he quickly stopped me and was like "bros I no sell again" I asked why he said nothing. I said ok. give me my money back. Brought it out gave it to me and I counted ensuring there was no fake note in it. Then I returned his phone. And we parted amicably Wanted to use the fufu phone prank on me..... unfortunately...."na Lagos dem born me" |
