Family / Share Yours Here! What Is That Act Of Love You Will Never Forget? by uptoHim(m): 11:25pm On Mar 28, 2015 |
There is this pics card I have in my phone. Any time I look at it, it reminds me of a day I would remember forever. It's almost 8 years now, yet it's as fresh in my heart as the blood that's pumped there. I was a PD student in my school, and also was my cousin. She was very close to me and a very wonderful girl too. One afternoon, she had come to check me in my room, and I was taking a nap, soundly asleep. From what I found out, she had entered the room, decided not to wake me, but sat on the bed, watched as I slept on and waited patiently till I woke up. I couldn't calculate how long she had watched and waited but it had been more than an hour. Yes, she lovingly sat and waited for me as I enjoyed my sleep. I can't forget how I had felt waking up and realising she had sat down on that bed and waited while I slept on. That wasn't all! We got talking about why she came (and it was about some challenges I was facing) and we got into a quarell. Out of anger she threatened to let and I also angrily told her she was free to leave. Here is the unforgettable... She stood up, walked to the door... and stopped. After like 10 seconds, with her pride thrown to the wind, she turned and walked back the bed, sat and told me that she just couldn't could walk out on me. That she could feel I was going through a lot. Hmmm! Truly, my immediate family(parents and siblings) have done the unimaginable loving moments! And I have also had friends do a lot of things for me, including staking their lives, money, admission, family a so many things that get me wondering. Yesterday, the boss at the office shocked me to my bones. Yes, I have seen too much love in my very few years on earth, but this act from my cousin, it might not be the greatest I have had, but it is the one my heart has placed above all. Honestly, that act thought me that the best way to live is to live in the hearts of loved ones! You can never tell, that little act of love could mean much in someone's heart. Thanks cousin! Thanks a million! N/B This is my true life story. Thought I don't know if my cousin can still remember that day. You can share you own, or just read and go. I just hope we can learn how our little acts of love go a long way in touching hearts. 1 Like |
Politics / Were It America, Would Gej/buhari Have Had The Confidence To Run For Presidency? by uptoHim(m): 9:21pm On Mar 27, 2015 |
All I hear is APC supporters talking about how the messiah we need Buhari is, and PDP singing about how wonderful a job GEJ is already doing. That leaves me wondering, is it that we(180million+) cannot produce a man "president enough" for this country? I saw Clinton's Administration. I followed Bush and Obama's elections, how America chose them and how their performances were/are rated. And I began to wonder if GEJ or Buhari could have even had the confidence to pick a party's presidential form in America. |

lastpage: Do you in any way think that the violence could not come from the opposition party? Or you also don't think there is a level of desperation in them? The talk here is about war, and all you can say imagine is how GEJ would be held responsible. In fact, you don't care, even if it will consume you loved ones, so long as its GEJ that would be held responsible. Continue! No wonder you have been part of the hate campaign. Of course, you are sure of victory. Don't worry, my prayer is that God would not allow us to realise too late, that being stronger as some of us think, is not as good as being in peace |
Politics / What Would The Failure Of Your Presidential Candidate Tomorrow Mean To You? by uptoHim(m): 2:19pm On Mar 27, 2015 |
Certainly, one candidate, either Buhari or GEJ, will win tomorrow's presidential election, unless it turns inconclusive. God forbid! May of us have staked a lot, so much that we could be reminded of our haven won a bragging right on the outcome. But of cause, some of us, at least, would be very disappointed when the result ends up not in our favour. And I ask; What would the failure of your presidential candidate tomorrow mean to you? |

Politics / Asari Dokubo Talks Tough As He Campaigns For GEJ In Warri! by uptoHim(m): 10:35pm On Mar 26, 2015 |
Buhari must never be allowed to get close to power – Dokubo-Asari on march 26, 2015 at 5:41 pm in news Facebook Share Twitter Share By Emma Amaize MEMBERS of the Niger Delta People Salvation Front, NDPSF, volunteers, led by their leader, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, marched the streets of Warri, Delta State, causing unprecedented traffic in a show of strong solidarity and support for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s re election. The road walk saw thousands of youths reaffirming and expressing their determination to vote for Dr Jonathan. Speaking at the rally, Alhaji Dokubo- Asari stated that it shall be gun for gun, bullet for bullet, bomb for bomb should Buhari attempt to cause chaos after losing the election. He warned that Buhari must never be allowed to get close to power as he is a disaster waiting to happen, adding, “He is a spent force with a stale mind incapable of leading a multi complex Nigerian State.” He said he was corrupt and immoral, while his wife had the guts to insult the women of the Niger Delta, especially the good women of Edo State by calling them prostitutes. Dokubo Asari, wearing a red T shirt with the inscription March for Goodluck Jonathan insisted that Muhammadu Buhari remained a tyrant and unrepentant dictator who ought to be striped of his military honours as he rose the rank and file by unfair, immoral and corrupt means, having not been qualified. He called on “all persons of who believe that never again should those who see us all as a conquered people; those who believe that we exist at their pleasure; those who believes our sovereignty must be continually confiscated; and that you and I are mere appendages in the Nigeria union lead us again to kick out Buhari, who is a chief promoter of born to rule and Boko Haram terrorism.” ” ” Muhammadu Buhari ought to be in jail and not allowed the luxury of contesting an election with sane people. He is the face of deceit,” he said. He called on all good people of the Nigerian Union to vote for Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, who though not perfect, remains the most credible option for moving Nigeria forward and restructuring Nigeria. He remarked that Good luck Jonathan remains our collective symbol of freedom from predominance. He later endorsed Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru as his preferred gubernatorial candidate in Delta state. Politics / Re: Babangida Fumes At Anti-military Political Broadcast by uptoHim(m): 7:51pm On Mar 25, 2015 |
These days, its all about GEJ attacking some past military heads; Some past military heads ganging up against GEJ; APC and some past military heads attacking our present military institution. Dia is goduooo Well, I find this response very excellent and deserving. Though I still wonder why Babangida has not said anything against the way APC and some of his fellow past military heads have been attacking and weakening the moral of our soldiers fighting Boko Haram all in the name of politics and in a bid to discredit GEJ's govt. I have never loved nor loathed Babangida. But from today, I have become his fan. About performance, I think he did a bit well, better that so many of these other ganged-up former military heads. |
Politics / Is Amechi Thinking Of Returning To PDP? by uptoHim(m): 11:08pm On Mar 22, 2015 |
I would have remained in PDP if I knew my deputy would betray me... Amechi. He made this statement in reaction to the news of his deputy's return to PDP. He also went ahead to lament that it was even the deputy who seconded the motion for their defection to APC. He also stated sympathetically that the whole world knows about his fight with the president, and countries wouldn't hesitate to grant him asylum should GEJ win and turn the heat on him. With these statements coming from Amechi, I'm beginning to see him already regretting joining the APC. May be he has realised that he is just being deceived and used. Another point to note is his deputy stating that he decided to return to PDP after realising that his people(SS), history and their generations to come, would not forgive him for being part of the cabal that pushed down their only chance at Presidency. May be Amechi is beginning to think in this line too. And recently, for about two weeks now, Amechi has been suspiciously calm. He has deliberately(I may be wrong) let the APC presidential campaign to run cold) We have not even been seeing much of him(and his counterpart Oshiomole) attacking GEJ or PDP. Are they having a rethink? Especially Amechi, is he regretting and thinking of coming home? Believe me, this looks like a great possibility. I see a big shock before 28th. |

BabaEleko: And still it was Amechi in this country who first promised Nigerians that APC will form an Interim Government if they lose. In fact, I first learnt the meaning of that world from Amechi. And of course you won't know that because truth has no meaning to you unless it's in your own interest. Let's keep deceiving ourselves. When it finally happens, I will know who would not be a victim. Quote me, GEJ and Buhari and their kids would not have any bruise. I can't say same about you! 1 Like 1 Share |

Family / Why Do Women Focus Their Energy More On Being Desired Than On Being Loved? by uptoHim(m): 1:44pm On Mar 20, 2015 |
So many of our women have come to believe that if they have to be worthy of attracting love, they'd have to be worthy of sexual desires first. My opinion: a man would fall in love with a woman based on her personality, character, and attitude but would fall in desire with her based on her sexual appearance and seductive skills. And working on the sexual part is what has taken the attention of our women. They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder; and I think what this means is that when a man finds your personality appealing, he would find you desirable whether you are "sexually set" or not. But this is no longer their thoughts. Its now all about becoming sexually set, and nothing else. And the man's desire would be caught, he comes, explores, gets tired and leaves. And they would turn around to complain. Why this too much focus on their body instead of in their hearts? If I am right, I think our women need to be redirected. Or am I wrong in this thought? |

Nokialumia720: And what do you think you have been doing with her since? I wonder these day why we think its only penetration that is sex. You lead a lady into so much fonication/immorality, fingering and pressing all the private parts of her body, and you turn around to say you are observing a no sex relationship. If you love that girl and your destiny, please allow her to serve her God, for your own good. God won't take it lightly with you when you extinguish the spiritual fire in her.
