Aregbesola's impunity comes to mind. I don't blame them though since the late Oba disgraced the power of the crown to a certain degree.

I was in Ife two weeks ago and it was funny to know that one of the candidates to the throne bought power transformers for members of several communities just because he wants to get there at all cost.

These people and their political godfathers should let tradition play out in installing a king. Ile Ife is far ancient and bigger for petty politics to reign supreme. Let the "Afobajes' and those responsible for choosing a king do it the traditional way. Ile-Ife may become a relic rather than significant historical city.

Those media stations mentioned would lobby and bribe their way to get clearance to go cover those events, if they don't succeed, there are a lot of other media houses queueing outside that would be too excited to take their place.

Very soon someone would soon tell us the INEC paid channels TV to cover the announcing of election results, or maybe the CCT paid Channels/AIT to cover saraki's trial last week.

The media houses are not even supposed to be paid to cover the nation's independence event.

Most of them lobby to be allowed to cover such events.

If any one of them is waiting to be paid to cover such a national event, there are many others who will gladly do it without a fee.

It's about getting more people to view your channel. That is also part of the business. It's a form of advertisement for them.
