The only reason that can make me fanatical about nigeria politics is if my father ,mother ,brother or sister is a senator,house of rep,minister,governor or even a vp . But if not ,fuvk politics ,anybody carrying nigeria politics for head while the real players keep making the billions in abuja needs to have a rethink. To me nairaland is a fantasy island where every nobody always claim to be somebody.

Tambuwal got the seat because the north wanted that seat and therefore they voted across party lines and apc only gave them support. This time it is going to be interest and party line matter. Pdp is now controlled by the south east and south south, they will determine where the seat goes, and the north elites and power brokers are now ready to wrestle and hijack apc out of the hands of tinubu and his south west govs . dogara has a very high chance if he can strike a deal with the pdp caucus the same with saraki too .

Where does FFK stand? PDP have better prospect with Hon Yakubu Gogara as Speaker just like APC when Tambawal was the Speaker. This is pure politics and there is no point to form neutral herer. I urge PDP legislators to disregard FFK and vote Hon Yakubu Dogara. Is it not good for PDP to emerge as Deputy Speaker? Is it not good for PDP and APC to share the committees in the ratio of 50:50? Is it not good for PDP to crack the APC and put them to disarray? Is it not good to upstage Tinubu from the House? Is it not good to be the defacto leadin party in the house even with a minority status? Wjat are we to gain from Gbaja?

The problem is that most IT professionals are not really that good in their field they focused more on certification rather than the knowledge, and also many go into it because of the potentials they thought it will bring them not because they had passion for it and finally most people who did not study IT or well trained can also do most of the jobs the IT professionals do for far cheaper fee and for the organized IT professional with companies, Clients prefer the Indians and other Nigerians that have made it Big over time not someone coming up. And IT need to be further broken down into much more specific duties.

With all this space booking how are we going to move forward? @ Op in those countries mentioned you will notice that there are actually IT professional bodies that help promote the growth of IT in those societies (example :Bcs, British Computer Society) , something that is sort of lacking in Nigeria. If the bodies could follow the type of model of the BCS where members interact often,network and exchange ideas, things can and will get better

Most of us are over worked. The pay sef is not equivalent to the burden and struggle we go through. But really must the government come to our aid before we make it big? There is a difference between a war time and a peace time size of any military. the German and Russia examples are wrong. Germany had only 6 divisions during the peace time in the 30s and Russia had considerably less.

Nigeria technically maintains a peacetime size Armed forces. What I will agree with is for the fed to create a Military reserve of over 200k - 300k men/women. then they can be called up to serve 12 months during any crisis like BH. maintaining a large army during peace time however isn't cost effective and Nigeria traditionally has no external enemies to fight or territorial ambitions so what is the point of a large size army?
