dvdwed: That's Africa for you. I asked myself if Nigerians would ever protest against election rigging the way we see it in Venezuela, and will the police force be ever loyal to the people. You see, because people have villages to run to, they feel they can mess up or corrupt the Democratic processes, steal some money, bribe villagers and gain a local chieftaincy title. Be hailed as big hero!!! When all the villages are removed, there with be nobody to prove anything to..no. Chieftaincy title to gain. Then we will sit up and realise that we are all responsible for democracy to work. Then we will be like Venezuela. |

People who have no problem burning fellow humans alive, na dog dem no fit beat to death? 21st century Africa behaving like 18th century Europe. Vex not. This problem will take generations to solve. We are indigenous village peoples and all the book, and civilization came from outside Africa and was imposed on us. Some persons accept it, others reject it and go back to village mentality. SalamRushdie: Nigeria is becoming one of the most dangerous place on earth due to low IQ, mass hysteria and paranoia And so it is. Education is meant to enlighten. But we have chosen to get certificate above all without the education. We have graduates that can't spell, can't write CV, can't do basic math in their mind, can't keep to time, don't know their own height in m, mm, or ft. Can't even read. And we all say it doesn't matter. Don't worry. We are the ones who will kill ourselves. |

Yambee: Depression.
His committing suicide when looked into, might have nothing to do with his papers. People that suffer from depression, usually don't think straight and just want to end everything.
There are a lot of suicidal and depressed people even reading this story on Nairaland now. It is well, and if possible those with this feelings should seek for help.
Rest in peace bros. Why did he go to Italy in the first place? Is it not to escape the depressing situation here in Nigeria? Well the lesson here is to remain close to God and hope for each new day. Let him direct you what to do. Once you start running and trying to escape, that's when Devil will push you to do one foolish thing in your hustle. |

nograv: Always saddens me that Nigerians don’t even know their own history...
Here is drawing of Benin City by Dapper a Dutch Explorer in 1688!!
History is written by the victors, so much so that Nigerians don’t even know that we had well organised cities with well ordered streets and squares. Multi storey buildings were recorded in Benin City, sadly now lost as the city was burned down by the British..
Please remember that Benin City was at its height in the 12th Century!!
I am my father’s son, I could have ignored this thread, but the blood of my forefathers that flows through my veins would not allow it... Sheybe lazy Nigerian youth and phone crazy students have all done well to discard History from their schools, from SSCE, WAEC, NECO. We now have people floating around thinking that this world began with Internet. |

flyca: Apparently, polygamy does not quench sexual urge.
Who married this man? As second wife? Foolish people see it as wealth to marry more than 1 wife. The truth is that the man has an insatiable sexual desire. He is no different from many guys on this forum who masturbate because they can not contain themselves. Or All those American guys sleeping with random women upandan in the name of being a "player".... Or the men have extramarital affairs. - Bottom line, control your sexual urge otherwise you will end up doing stupid, irresponsible and sinful things. Go outside and play ball. Do some vigorous activity. Take a cold shower. Even animals control themselves. |

I hope he boils or fries the egg to eat with bread too. What exactly do you want? This is a Python. We do not have safety of human life in Nigeria. We do not sell anti venom vaccines. We can't even guarantee that panadol is genuine. Hospitals have no electricity to ensure smooth treatment of patients admitted there. So many fake drugs. People live under the bridge due to no accommodation. Nigeria is ranked to have the highest number of poor people in the world. People lose jobs and there's no replacement. YOU will not help the man if he is attacked and bitten by the snake. YOU will not pay for his medical bills. You will not employ him in whatever big-boy organisation you own. And you expect him not to kill the snake and save his life? You sound EXCEEDINGLY WICKED to your fellow human. |
Food › Re: Dipping Bread In Tea: How Many Of You Still Do This? (photo) by uuzba(m): 6:47pm On Jan 30, 2019 |
Phyde: I did it this morning, please is there anything wrong or is it not bread and tea again? Well, you have to understand who invented bread and tea. As you know, these came to us through the British who colonised us. The colonist were disciplined people of very high standards (AKA effizzy). They drink the most tea in this whole world till date. They bake bread and so many types if pastry. Usually they'll eat bread as a sandwich ie. With sardines, ham, cheese or other condiments inside. Sandwich one hand, tea to wash down. The problem with this method of dipping bread inside tea is that the bread is naked. There's nothing to go with the bread. Indirectly, you are saying you cannot afford anything to go with your bread. This method, hence goes with the poorer people. Some poor British people still do this. So it all depends whose style you are following. The rich or the poor. Rich normally attributed to educated and poor attributed to illiterate. |

You can decide what to do after that. |
