Iron rods are actually quite useless when it comes to roads. What made those roads crack was thermal expansion. Under hot sun, the cement will expand, and since it has nowhere to expand to it will develop cracks, no matter how many iron rods that is in it.

Iron rods basically turn the road into a bridge resting on the ground. That's the purpose.
So the way they put expansion joint on bridges is the way they should put on the road.
And such a road will behave just like a bridge ie, NOT crack.
I don't know if these roads in the pictures had expansion joints. But without iron rods, concrete will crack due to bending forces from moving vehicles.

There's iron rods in that one.
Iron rods add reinforcement to make the concrete stronger to take more load.
This one in the picture just looks like only cement without iron rods.
And the cement seems very light, maybe 50mm to 100mm thick. That thing will crack like breakable plate.

Well, there's a difference between remember and experiece.
I experienced a few. But I remember some guy in boarding house ironing his shirt with this diamond shape at the back. I never did this. The problem with education is that people see it as White Man knowledge. And when you go into society with Education, you will meet many village people and traditional people who take you to be a threat to their cultural way of life EVEN if they are doing things in the most moronic upside down backwards way. In fact, they will say you are insulting them.
In the movie, Black Panther, they successfully integrated scientific knowledge with their African tradition. That's why they were happy in their Wakanda.
In Nigeria, we have not done this.
In Western nations, they don't even have villages, so they are all open to Education 24/7.

In summary, when you get Educated in Nigeria, you start realising a need to flee the village, or even the country, to get away from backwards cultural practices. Hence the high rate of Japa since 1970s and the low value placed on Education in Nigeria.

Octa core means 8 cores on the cpu.
That implies that if you use the phone and open 8 or more apps at the same time, the 8 cores of the CPU will be running each app fine without the phone slowing down, dragging or just freezing performance.
When companies first started making smart phones, mid 2000s, they didn't power them well. They didn't realise that typical user opens many apps at same time. And that slows phones down. So in these later years, that started adding more cores to the processor to handle this performance..
