And for all the morons who think Africa would have developed on its own, when clearly it could never, you need to see how developed and civilized you all are back in your villages when the rest of the world is millennia ahead of you. That is the development and civilization you say Africans would've had if left on their own. Lol.

Even your friends in India and China ride on the coattails of civilization, so stop trying to lump them with you. Because they resisted, they are now left to mimicking the West.

Smh. Blacks who think they could have been the ones to develope themselves. Was it you Blacktards who invented the school curriculum that has enlightened you enough to think you're pro-African?

No more responses to this thread.

Too many unrealistic people who are products of Western religious education.

If you don't like it or disagree with it, go back to your villages and animism and don't use anything from white people. Turds.

Have you noticed that Buhari meets with everyone else but Tinubu. So long as South West is concerned. Tinubu will dominate that region for a long while.

If Buhari detach himself from Tinubu, he has lost southwest.

A combo of Tinubu, Mimiko, Fayose, FFK, Odumakin will wreck Buhari in South west in 2019.

GEJ was booted out by the instrumentality of the media propaganda in 2015 and truth is southwest has the media in Nigeria. Media shapes political opinions and perceptions.

The problem with PMB is that he is fighting on so many fronts at same time.

Bokoharam, Naija Delta, Tinubu, His wife, Judiciary, senate leadership.
A smart politician carefully selects his fight. PMB is not one.

Career › Re: Modern Work Place Vs Old Work Place: Why New Firms Are Taking Over by uvalued(m): 2:40pm On Oct 15, 2016
prodam:
Brainstorming on why some companies in Nigeria are ahead of the others will usually lead to a laborious research and even sometimes involve questionnaires and taking samples. It even gets more complex when you are studying firms globally. Don’t worry that has been done for you and the following have been identified as things to be replaced as well as current trends that drive productivity in modern workplace.

Old things have passed away they say, and surely new things are meant to replace them.

Old way: Employees are the biggest risk.
New Way: Employees are the biggest asset.

Nowadays, most companies still see employees as their biggest risk thereby handling their welfare with levity. The whole idea of a new revolution in the workplace is about getting things right on employer-employee relationship. Check out companies who are currently leading the market and you would discover that.

Old Way: Top down Communication
New Way: Open Communication

Top down communication which simply means information is passed from the top of the organogram down till it reaches bottom. This information is most times different at different stages of the hierarchy, that is, you only get the amount and kind of formation you can handle within your position in the firm. A lot of companies practice this model and keep employees away from the main business and daily operations of the firm. Companies who lead various industries especially IT practice open ended discussions, talks, and interactive communication. In such organisations, any employee has direct access to the CEO or head of division. This kind of all inclusive communication is what is referred to as Open Communication.

Old Way: Skill over Behaviour
New Way: Behavior over skill

You be like are you kidding me? No, I am not barney. This is so factual. The best way to hire and keep right people is to give primacy to behavior over skill. Things have changed and technology has made it seemingly easy to learn any thing whatsoever at the shortest time possible. The idea here is to look out for people with soft skills, such as emotional intelligence, presentation and personal branding, appearance and gesture as well as endurance. Attributes like this keeps an employee and makes him or her gives the best. Skills can be taught easily, by leveraging on, in house competence but it is extremely difficult to get employees to be patient, self-motivated or even communicate clearly.

Old Way: Manage Time
New Way: Empower Results

No doubt, one key thing for any serious person is to be able to manage time effectively. However, after little or more time spent, what are important most times in the long run are results. What has been done? What is left? What is the quality of the job?. The quality assurance or software testers or even customer are really not interested in the process involved or amount of effort but rather in the results obtained. Companies we look up to know this and have devised ways of reducing jobs of a single time and make people focus on what they really are good out. They also give reasonably enough time for tasks.

Old Way: Rigid Working Schedule
New Way: Flexible Working Schedule

It is so unproductive when you force employees to work during a specified time to deliver a task, but most firms are oblivious to this. Top companies allow employees to work within hours they are comfortable with as long as results are produced. Work is meant to be fun and not some punishment or constrain. Having employees work actively in the early hours of the day and take a nap or play some game then go back to work after lunch.

Old Way: At your desk
New Way: Mobile

In most advanced countries, this is very common due to good network latency and enough bandwidth. It fast tracks productivity and makes work easier and fun for employees or even independent consultants. Most companies, however, are still stuck with having employees resume and close on their desks.

Old Way: Work for the Weekend
New Way: Do something you love

Well, if you love your job, this might not be correct for you. People who are working on what they love are the most productive in any organization. However, only a few companies allow employees to do what they love during weekends and off days. Most firms will load you with work that will require you to work during your free periods. This may come in form of mandating you to resume during weekend or connecting to a client via remote services. This will no doubt adversely affect employees’ performance during actual business hours due to inadequate relaxation of mental tissues and rest.
Is that all? Yes that is all. Are you a start-up or thinking of creating the next big thing, you should have a rethink on your organizational structure. Inspire yourself

Thank you.

Car Talk › Re: Why A Car Catches Fire, And How You Can Stop Yours From Being The Next by uvalued(m): 9:10pm On Oct 13, 2016
TRYGO:
INTRODUCTION
Everyday that passes by in Lagos, there's hardly a day that you won't see a vehicle burning, or an already burnt down one by the street, or on the middle of the road. Its really a helpless sight to behold. The occupants, if lucky, escape the raging infernos from the fires, and some, not that really lucky, get killed as a result of various degrees of burns sustained in such incidents.
Instance is, when I was returning from one of the holy ghost services at the Redemption Camp early in the morning some months ago(I'm not by all means trying to be a religious PR here), I suddenly saw a Corolla '08 in frames, on the middle of the road. The owner of the car was no where to be found. Maybe, he has gone to look for "water" to fight the fire. Note of caution please. Don't use ordinary water to fight an inferno. That accelerates the fire, because fuel is denser than water.
That day, before 8:00am, the car was totally burnt to ashes.
You could imagine environmental , economic, and psychological impacts that incident must have caused the owner, and the environment.
What would have happened, if other adjacent cars caught fire? Imagine the ripple effect of that for a minute.
Incidences like these prevail everyday in Lagos, especially areas where vehicles are at close proximity with each other(See fig1).

WHAT CAUSES SUCH FIRES

For a fire to start, there must be the presence of AIR, FUEL, and a HEAT SOURCE.
There are a lots of causes of car fires.
The most common ones are:

1. Fuel(petrol). Leaks along fuel lines poses a dangerous threat to safety here.
Cars with a leaky injector nozzle system seals can allow tiny droplets of fuel drop on hot spots on an engine, or exhaust system, thereby leading to a fire. These seals are usually weak, when they are exposed to tremendous heat from the engine, and the atmospheric temperature of the environment. Normally at 60, 000miles, such seals loose their sealing properties, and create fire risks.

2. Electrical issues. When you open up the hood of your car, you see bunch of wire harnesses, connectors, etc, acting as a conduit for the flow of current to various components of the car.
If any of these wiring harnesses has a SHORT CIRCUITS problems, the flow of current would be limited, at the load, leading to the current traveling to an undesignated route. This route could be the body of the car, which acts as a ground. This undesired current flow that has found a new path, could trigger a fire, if for instance there's already a source of fuel provided it by a leaky fuel system component. Bu!!! you hear. Suddenly there's a fire raging.

3. Exhaust system. All internal combustion engine applications work through a lots of friction and stress, in order to produce the motion for the movement, you and I enjoy when we drive our new SUVs, or in a "danfo bus" cruising. But have you ever thought that those applications could go through temperatures of up to 2000C? With this kind of extreme temperature, coupled with outside temperature, that might be in the range of 30-40C, what do you expect your engine to do? A clogged catalytic converter would generate even more extreme temperatures that could instantly lead to a fire. Even us car owners, look for an escape route, when we're faced with the heat from traffic daily, and work stress. You escape that by putting on your car's Ac system, to take away that heat, in exchange for a clean cool air. Isn't it? OK. Same thing happens to your engine. This extreme temperature is exited through the exhaust system of the car, and straight to the environment.
Now. How does that exhaust system looks like? See Fig2: Exhaust system
Fuel system routed close to exhaust systems are at risks of causing car fires.
Manufacturers have over the years, routed fuel lines away from exhaust systems, and even shielded the exhaust systems with shield materials to protect excess heat from setting off fires. Some fuel system lines also use heat shields, to help reduce the risks of fires.

4. Oil spills. Engine oils, and automatic transmission fluids spills on engine components like the transmission system, cylinder heads, exhaust system manifold, a rotating driven solid shafts, and on engine chassis, etc can cause car fires.
The reason being as these spills gradually builds up into a sludge on those components, they trap dirt's made of combustibles, making them susceptible to generating heat and smoke, and then results into a fire while driving.

HOW TO PREVENT CAR FIRES

The most effective way to prevent car fires are:
1. Carry out preventive maintenance checks on all fuel, exhaust, and electrical systems at every oil change. These checks would help you determine their integrity, and eventually point out potential problem areas before they occur.

2. Ensure all maintenance/repairs carried out on the car's fire prone systems, such as the fuel, exhaust, and electrical systems are properly done.
Proper laid down procedures regarding repairs and safety must be strictly adhered to. Do not allow your mechanics to tell you, "Oga. It doesn't matter to put on an exhaust heat shield, or let's manage the fuel line clips. It won't do anything". If you currently have a mechanic like that as your mechanic, you gotta run brother!

3. Carry out steam washing of the engine bay monthly, or so. That would reduce the accumulation of oil spill build up on the engine area.
If you're scared of allowing your engine to be steam washed, you could hand wash it.
***use solvents such as petrol, or diesel fuel, to help remove oil spills , and apply a soapy
solution to wash the affected parts mildly.
NB: Ensure the cars ECU (commonly called brainbox), and ignition control modules are protected from from water sprays. Because they could foul the system, and cause you tremendous money fixing them.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOUR CAR CATCHES A FIRE
Well, I know some of us are so religious, when it comes to predictive maintenance, and stuffs like that. But I think its cool for you to have some tips on your hands, just in case, perhaps, your neighbours car catches fire, this is what you should do.

1. If you notice smoke billowing out of the car while driving, pull over off the road, to a safe place, and park.
Don't open the hood, because there's the risk the fire could spread further, because opening up the hood, creates more oxygen intake for the car. And that accelerates the fire.

2. Get out of the car as soon as possible, If you can.
Do not attempt to return back to the car to rescue your laptop, galaxy note 7, and even your jewelry. I think its better you're alive, than die in that fire. Doesn't make sense to me though. But maybe, that's not my business.

3. Disconnect the power source, if you can. Some cars, like Benz, BMW, Renaults cars don't have their batteries located at the front. They're at the rear, or at the front passenger seat. Be bold enough to disconnect the positive terminal in order to cut the current supply to the electrical systems.

4. If you're courageous enough, fight the fight with a recommended fire extinguisher class type recommended by your safety agency(FRSC). Could be a class B, or C. Depending on the specifications recommended.
5. Call the fire service immediately, if you've got no guts to stand against a fire.

CONCLUSION

Car fires don't just start like that.
And even if they do, take preventive maintenance checks very seriously. Try monitoring the kinds of jobs, and the safety/repair procedures your car mechanic employ fixing your precious car. If you don't, someday, you might just laugh-cry.

Hope this piece has enlightened someone on this platform.

Catch ya guys.
More, still coming.

Webmasters › Re: 8 Things To Consider Before Launching Your New Blog by uvalued(m): 8:36am On Oct 11, 2016
mokoshalb:
Are you thinking of launching a blog? A blog is something that can give your voice a new wing. It's always great to have a blog but it is even better to have a well-planned blog. A small mistake can take away all the hype your blog deserves to get. Here are 9 things you need to consider before launching your first blog.

1. Choose your Blogging Platform Wisely: When you are going to have a blog, you need a platform where your site is going to be hosted. There are dozens of blogging platforms to choose from. From them, WordPress.org, blogger.com and are the most popular.
It's now up to you to choose the one that suits your need. For example, if you are not in a position to invest money on hosting you can choose Google’s blogger platform (it's free). If you want more control and power to your blog, choose WordPress.org. With WordPress.org you have full rights over your content.

2. Choose the Right Domain Name: Your domain name becomes your business's nick name in the online world. Choose a domain name that fits your topic well. Having a keyword in the domain is still great. But avoid using exact match domains (EMDs). A .com domain is more preferred and widely used; however you can get country specific domains if you want to focus on a particular country. For example, if your audience is from Nigeria you can opt for .COM.NG or NG.

3. Register your social profiles: This is a very crucial step that comes in between buying your domain and publicly launching your blog. You have to be very fast registering your social profiles after you have bought a domain to avoid someone else from registering it. In that case it will cause a problem in branding and identity crisis.

4. Your Interest: No wonder anyone can open up a blog but only the passionate people survive the first year of blogging. You have to think what your interest is and which topic can never bore you from writing.
You should also not choose a topic that has no audience or has limited scope of growth. Choose a niche that interests you and has scope of growth for the coming years.

5. Design your Blog: No one would like to visit a site that has a clumsy design or one that confuse the reader. But as a beginner this part seems to be an hindrance, you can start with a simple design and as you move forward you start getting enlightened about more design techniques, If you still can't get the design, you can pay top bloggers to get it done for you..

6. Write at least 10 to 15 posts before your launch: When you launch your product with a bang, immediate visitors should not be disappointed to see only 1 or 2 posts. Instead, serve them a full meal of 10-15 posts so that they can enjoy their session. This idea is extremely helpful for newbie bloggers because:
a) Your audience can better understand you: With 10 posts your readers can understand your voice, your tone and your style of writing.
b) It will decrease bounce rates: You wouldn't want Google Analytics, to register high bounce rates for your newly launched blog.
c) You get more time: When you are launching a site, you have tons of task to do. You need to market it on social media, comment on relevant blogs, build relationships and reply to comments on your own blog. For this you need time. And if you have some 10-15 posts you can have enough time for doing all these.

7. Improve your social skills: Blogging is nothing but a social platform revolutionized. You cannot take it to the next level if you are not social. Before even you launch your blog polish your social skills. Start by visiting popular blogs in your niche, comment there and build a relation. This will help you in the launch of your new blog.

8. Funds: “You need money to run a successful blog” that is the truth. You cannot blog for long if you do not have adequate funding. The industry standards and my own experience says, you should not start pushing ads or affiliate posts to your audience right from the launch date. Most ad programs like AdSense, media.net etc. also don't approve freshly launched blogs. A blog can potentially earn after 6 months of its launch. You should therefore, have sufficient monetary backup to support you during this period.

These are the tips that you should keep in mind before launching a blog. A clear strategy will always save you from untimely problems and embarrassment. SEO, small bits of HTML coding along with the blogging processes...

Car Talk › Re: 10 Must-have Items To Keep In Your Vehicle by uvalued(m): 8:35am On Oct 11, 2016
Revolva:
Perhaps you’ve been driving yourself for a long time? Or you just got your first car? The experience can be very exciting and at the same time intriguing. The joy of owning a car becomes short-lived when the car develops a fault on motion and you don’t have a personal driver. It feels like you’ve made a terrible mistake buying a car especially when it breaks down in the middle of nowhere. But not to worry!

I share 10 items that you must keep in your vehicles to assist you in the midst of car breakdown:

A basic toolkit: You don’t want to weigh your car down too much, but you never know when an emergency might call for the use of a few basic tools, like screwdrivers, a tyre gauge, a jack and tools to help you remove a tyre. Your car might already come with a basic toolkit. Checkyour handbook for where to find it.
A map: While you’re probably able to find your location using your mobile phone (only when safely parked of course), you know that you’re bound to have no battery just when you really need it. There’s no harm in keeping an old fashioned map in your boot just in case you find yourself getting lost without your phone to help you.
A basic first aid kit: You never know when you might need to carry out some basic first aid while out on the road, whether it’s an accident you’ve been involved with, or one you’ve witnessed. Make sure you’ve always got items such as bandages, gauze, tape and disinfectant in the car.

A spare in-car mobile phone charger: Especially if you’re a female driver driving alone, it’s crucial that you can call for help in an emergency, so always make sure you have a spare in-car charger in your car. You can buy a USB car charger quite cheaply, so all you have to do is connect the appropriate cable for your phone. Alternatively, you could get hold of a cheap spare mobile phone and keep it fully charged in your car in case you ever need it.

A torch: This is a simple one but could really help if you find yourself in trouble when it’s dark, especially if there aren’t any street lights (especially when NEPA takes light).

Warning triangles: If you break down you may find warning triangles helpful to warn approaching drivers of an obstruction in the road. Also, if you’re driving abroad, depending on the country you could end up with a fine if you don’t have warning triangles in your car.

Spare engine coolant, oil and windscreen fluid: This one’s a no-brainer, especially if you regularly drive long distances. Make sure you check your oil, water, antifreeze and screen wash levels regularly to avoid coming into difficulties on a long journey. You should also keep some spare supplies in the car just in case you run out while away from home. Only check or top up your engine coolant when the engine is cold (i.e. you haven’t driven the car for a while), as it’s a pressurised container.

Spare warm clothing : We all know how cold it can get during rainy season, so pack a jumper or two, or maybe a blanket, in case you’re stuck waiting in or out of your car for a while.

The contact numbers for your insurance and towing companies: Again, don’t rely on your mobile phone for this one. Just note down the key numbers for both your insurance and towing companies (including both Customer Service and the Claims Line, plus the emergency numbers if there are any) on a piece of paper and keep it somewhere safe – perhaps in the glove box of the car.

Jump leads: If you suddenly discover your car battery is dead, having a set of jump leads in your car will hopefully save you, providing a sympathetic driver stops to help, or you have someone to call who can come to your aid.

hopefulLandlord:
Unavoidable contradictions
Not only was the Bible taken largely and blatantly from previous stories, but there are contradictions so massive that they defy belief. Here are just a few of them.
Noah’s Ark : The story of the Ark is that a pair of every animal on earth was put on the ship. Forgetting for a second the fact that the story came directly from the Epic of Gilgamesh, keep in mind we’re being asked to believe that two 500-year-old people are caring for tens of thousands of animals. And where did they keep the food? How did they keep the poisonous snakes from biting the other animals? And where did they get the polar bears, alligators, and thousands of other animals that that don’t live in the Middle East?
The Angel’s Message : In Matthew 1:20 it says the Angel spoke to Joseph. In Luke 1:28 he spoke to Mary. Which was it?
Mary’s Virginity : The Hebrew word ‘Almah’, which people took to mean virgin, actually means ‘young woman of marriage age’. And there are plenty of indications that Jesus had brothers and sisters.
The Census : The authors of the Bible are trying so hard to get Jesus born in Bethlehem that they craft a story about a census. They say that Joseph had to travel back to his father’s homeland in order to register for it. Can you seriously imagine—in any period let alone then—asking the entire country to travel back their father’s hometown to register for a census? It’s completely impossible. The author of the story put it in there because they needed Jesus born in that city. Plus, historians note that the Romans kept extraordinary records, and there wasn’t even a census at that time. It’s completely fabricated, and for obvious reasons.
Jesus and the Family : The Bible says honor your father and mother, yet Jesus says you must hate your father, mother, wife, children, and even your own life to be a disciple, and says to call no man on earth your father. (MT 10:35-37, LK 12:51-53, 14:26, MT 23:9)
God and Murder: God says killing is wrong, yet he advocates genocide. (EX 34:11-14, LV 26:7-9)
God and Slavery : We all know slavery to be wrong, yet God openly advocates it. (GN 17:12, EX 12:43, EX: 21:1, EX 21:20, EX 21:32, LV 22:10, LV 25:44, LK 7:2, CL 3:22)
Jesus’s Heritage : There are two different genealogies for Jesus given in the Bible, and they don’t match. One is curiously given through Joseph, which is strange since he’s not Jesus’s father. Why give a genealogy through someone who isn’t related to you?
The Passover : It’s widely understood that God is supposed to be all-seeing and all-knowing. If that’s true, then why did he need people to mark their houses with blood in order to keep from killing their babies inside?
Kill Your Son to Prove You Love Me: God told Abraham to kill his son to prove that he loved God. Abraham raised the knife to him, about to do it, and God called it off—pleased that he would have done it. Does that sound like a moral God to you?
This is just a tiny sample of the inconsistencies and moral problems with the Bible.
In summary, the bible is foolishness.... absolute foolishness of the base-iest order grin grin grin grin! Even God has seen, choosen and accepted the foolishness, you are not the first!

1 Cor 1:27-29
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
KJV
So what gives..... tongue tongue tongue tongue

Jesus’s Story is an Obvious Rehashing Of Numerous Previous Characters
Perhaps even more compelling is the story of Christ himself. As it turns out it’s not even remotely original. It is instead nothing more than a collection of bits and pieces from dozens of other stories that came long before. Here are some examples.
1. Asklepios healed the sick, raised the dead, and was known as the savior and redeemer.
2. Hercules was born of a divine father and mortal mother and was known as the savior of the world.
3. Dionysus was literally the “Son of God”, was born of a woman who had not had sex with a man, and was depicted riding a donkey . He was a traveling teacher who performed miracles, and was killed and resurrected, after which time he became immortal.
4. Osiris did the same things. He was born of a virgin, was considered the first true king of the people, and when he died he rose from the grave and went to heaven.
5. Osiris’s son, Horus , was known as the “light of the world”, “The good shepherd”, and “the lamb”. He was also referred to as, “The way, the truth, and the life.” His symbol was a cross-like symbol.
6. Mithra‘s birthday was celebrated on the
25th of December , his birth was witnessed by local shepherds who brought him gifts, had 12 disciples, and when he was done on earth he had a final meal before going up to heaven. On judgment day he’ll return to pass judgment on the living and the dead. The good will go to heaven, and the evil will die in a giant fire. His holiday is on Sunday (he’s the Sun God). His followers called themselves “brothers”, and their leaders “fathers”
. They had baptism and a meal ritual where symbolic flesh and blood were eaten. Heaven was in the sky, and hell was below with demons and sinners.
7. Krishna had a miraculous conception that wise men were able to come to because
they were guided by a star. After he was born an area ruler tried to have him found and killed. His parents were warned by a divine messenger, however, and they escaped and was met by shepherds. The boy grew up to be the mediator between God and man.
8. Buddha ‘s mother was told by an angel that she’d give birth to a holy child destined to be a savior. As a child he teaches the priests in his temple about religion while his parents look for him. He starts his religious career at roughly 30 years of age and is said to have spoken to 12 disciples on his deathbed. One of the disciples is his favorite, and another is a traitor. He and his disciples abstain from wealth and travel around speaking in parables and metaphors. He called himself “the son of man” and was referred to as, “prophet”, “master”, and “Lord”. He healed the sick, cured the blind and deaf, and he walked on water. One of his disciples tried to walk on water as well but sunk because his faith wasn’t strong enough.
9. Apollonius of Tyana (a contemporary of Jesus) performed countless miracles (healing sick and crippled, restored sight, casted out demons, etc.) His birth was of a virgin, foretold by an angel. He knew scripture really well as a child. He was crucified , rose from the dead and appeared to his disciples to prove his power before going to heaven to sit at the right hand of the father. He was known as, “The Son of God”.
The problem, of course, is that these previous narratives existed hundreds to thousands of years before Jesus did.

Similarities to Other Stories
The similarities between the stories and characters in the Bible and those from previous mythologies are both undeniable and well-documented. This would be obvious if it weren’t for early indoctrination of these beliefs into children, which usually makes them unassailable as adults.
In this short piece I’ll attempt to show extraordinary similarities with regard to two of the most important Biblical narratives: the Genesis story and the character of Jesus Christ.
The Book of Genesis’s Flood Story Mirrors The Epic Of Gilgamesh From Hundreds Of Years Earlier
.
Here are a number of elements that both Gilgamesh and the flood story in Genesis share:

1. God decided to send a worldwide flood. This would drown men, women, children, babies and infants, as well as eliminate all of the land animals and birds.
2. God knew of one righteous man, Ut-Napishtim or Noah.
3. God ordered the hero to build a multi-story wooden ark (called a chest or box in the original Hebrew), and the hero initially complained about the assignment to build the boat.
4. The ark would have many compartments, a single door, be sealed with pitch and would house one of every animal species.
5. A great rain covered the land with water.
6. The ark landed on a mountain in the Middle East.
7. The first two birds returned to the ark. The third bird apparently found dry land because it did not return.
8. The hero and his family left the ark, ritually killed an animal, offered it as a sacrifice.
9. The Babylonian gods seemed genuinely sorry for the genocide that they had created. The God of Noah appears to have regretted his actions as well, because he promised never to do it again.
In conclusion,it means that its a strong narrative that there was an ACTUAL flood and secondly a source outside the bible support the great flood! grin grin

My Advice To Tenant

Tips for Renting an Apartment

Hints to take seriously when renting an apartment.

1. If you notice a lot of shops in the neighbourhood selling or repairing generators, it means light is not constant in that area.

2. Beware of houses that the children of the original owners manage. You might end up paying rent to each of the children.

3. Try buying recharge card to know the type of neighbours you have. If the maximum you can get is only 200 naira, well, you know the kind of neighbours you have.

4. You don’t have a car and you want to rent house in a gated community where Okadas are not allowed to enter? Pity yourself o.

5. Bring out all your phones and modems to see which ones will get the strongest network signal. Start to give the strongest line to people that ask for your phone number.

6. Avoid houses that are near garages, whether Okada, keke Napep or bus garage. Apart from the noise and pollution, you know that NURTW change in leadership can be bloody. They use cutlasses, knives and the like to displace their ‘chairman’. You don’t want to get caught up in struggle for control of garage because your house is nearby.

7. Ensure that good schools are not too far away for your children. That way, they might be able to get to school even during fuel scarcity.

8. For the ladies, try and dissuade your husband or fiancé from renting apartment near bars or clubs. You should know why. Also ensure that no eX’s are nearby to avoid reigniting flames that should be dead.

9. If for any reason, you don’t want extended family living with you, by all means avoid 3-bedroom flats, especially if your children are young. When ‘anti’ comes from the village for a visit and sees an unoccupied room, your excuse for refusing your cousins becomes weak.
Good Luck...!!!

DelTel:
Its rightly so because of some reasons:

- you are expected to be able to bring your car to a halt immediately in case of emergency, meaning you should drive cautiously (at reasonable speed limit) even if on a highway.

- you are expected to anticipate and appreciate other road users would be using the road hence be cautious.

- before you could have hit her from behind and not her hitting your side, then she was totally in front of you.

In all, road users should have in mind that other road users are either not concentrating or inexperienced (my take).

Finally, subscribe to a Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance from a reputable insurance company, its affordable (max 4% of car value) and covers both your vehicle and the other party and doesn't even penalise for negligence in Nigeria as of now. So take advantage especially in this recession period.

Hmmm... I used to hear people say that also, back in those days when i bought gen in school and lowered the voltage and then i used stabilizer for equipments that needs normal 220v, my friends would tell me that the generator will spoil...

To my understanding,
The advantage of using stab is that you will get a stable ouput even if the generator output is fluctuating. You will protect your equipment when using "i better pass my neighbor" that has no AVR which gives high no-load voltage. But have it at the back of your mind that the stabilizer too is a load which will get its own power first and also get the power which it will supply the load connected to it.

The stab doesnt have any effect on gen, its just a load like any other device. The reason why the technicians discourage people from using stab is that the illiterate user might think that using stab will make a small gen power ok 800watts power a 2kw device.

In conclusion, using a stab doesnt have any side effect. I use 2 stabilizer at home for equipment when using phcn and i don't bother to bypass when using gen, and my generator hasn't spoil for 2years and still counting.
thank you ... but since you posted have you experienced any issues?

A man has claimed to have received the "light" after being in "pretence" for a long time. The former pastor who clearly made it known that he doesn't believe in churches or pastors any more -said his life changed the moment he discovered himself (whatever that means).

He posted some pictures online showing when he preached in churches as a pastor ( "his fake life" ) and now that he preaches on the streets as a hardcore traditionalist ( "his real self" ) -claiming he's found the truth....

The correct answer to all that questions is
that they still ended up being the same.
If somebody claim you bought a book
yesterday, and another person claim you
bought it last millennium, what the both
are still saying is that
you bought a book.
The both still ended up in one final
destination. So It doesn't matter the route
they used to com, what matters is;
Are they at the same final destination, if so.
What else should we worry about.
Can you tell me the exact thing you and
your friends did around 11:am on march
5th 2005? Without you guys contradicting
yourself? But you guys might still end up
that all of you were at school.
So I don't see any need for alarm because
the apostles gave the account from
different angles.
At least, they still ended up on the same
conclusion.
