In addition to what BABE ! has said , i would also like to see some literature(with pictures ofcourse) on vintage fashion & how to incoperate them into modern day fashion without breaking the bank.i think its one area fashion journals tend to neglect either because of its unique & somewhat difficult coordination,availabilty,relevance or affordability. But then again it could fall under fashion tips as BABE ! earlier mentioned. . . just my take looking in wards. |
wow,thats a tough one. . .considering the fact that they both are into the same genre of music. but i think if you turn of all instruments and musical gadgets (no microphones ) nothing and listen to both voices sing,you definitely pick Luther as the best. so i'll say Luther Vandross is the best vocalist compared to Lionel Richie. . but i'm still loving my Lionel Richie songs lol ![]() |
there's also St. Elmo's pizza on adeola odeku Victoria island. |
@freshcvv another empty vessel on NL. mtcheeeeeeewww! |
@pslm23 sorry to hear about your ordeal with the doctors in abuja hospitals,i also had a bad experience with one the hospitals in abuja too, (but nothing to do with ivf) it was just bad ,really bad. total negligence on the part of the doctor and a care free or should i say careless attitude on the part of the nurses i almost lost my child,their charges were exhorbitant and to think they knew what they were doing. Anyways,don't be sad ,i'm sure you were really disappointed at the results of this recent trial .but not to worry its all going to be fine this time,because i'm still praying for you. just take it easy and hang in there 'cos he makes everything everything beautiful in its time. also read Psalm 91 its a portion of the bible i read everyday for 30days when i'm expecting blessings for that month. |
@knight1 lol. . . ok,i get you |
Knight1:i know , i meant to ask . .seeing the difference between eating on the dining table , on the sofa, on your laps ,etc , where would you prefer to eat? ![]() |
GODS JEWEL:YES , i do understand what you're saying , when i was a child and we visited our grannies,my cousins and i would eat on the floor or center table and it was fun and some of us(especially the guys) would target the largest meat in the bowl of food ,and see who gets it, sometimes it ended in a battle. . . with the adult in the house sharing it amongst everyone eventually. ![]() but what i can"t seem to understand is why would you set up a dining table in your home and still eat on the bare floor,or center table or even on the bed. then at home as a child eating on the bed was even out of the question,my folks will make you do the laundry that day if any grain of food was found on the bed sheets. |
hilarious, LMAO jay Z pure water ha ha ha ha ha rolling on the floor, |

@original poster you're right about taking water in the morning when you wake up,it helped when i was trying to shed a few pounds by cleansing my system. i drink a lot of water eveeryday ,its part of me.a dietician once told me that to manage your weight one should drink water a few hours after eating,it fills you up quickly rather than snacking all the time. |
^^just reminding you many homes these days have eating compartments in the kitchen apart from the dining room.
if you took the time to understand the original post rather than attack the original poster ,you will find out that it says Dining table slash Dining room.so you're either using the dining table that is being set up in the kitchen,or in a seperate room in the house(which is called the dining room) or creating a corner space for it to be set up in the livng room. what part of this post don't you understand so i can break it all down for you? |
so i hear people say stuffs like "i stopped going that church because the pastor stole or steals church funds" (as the case may be) or "that pastor enriches himself & his wife with the tithes/offerings/donations etc meant for the church " or "the church commitee/board is very corrupt,they doctor the account report of the church to divert money". hence misappropriation of church funds. so my question is WHO INVESTIGATES THE CHURCH? |
sitting on a sofa/couch & eating from the tray on my laps,that i can make do with but i tried to eat on the floor one time ,it was really uncomfortable for me.(back pain) not to mention the difficulty in getting up, & if you'd just finished eating with your hands you might need to support youself with your elbows when trying to get up. By the way ,@ tpia " maybe in the kitchen" ? i was asking Knight1,not you. |
in naija i think its called "swagger" not sure ![]() |

@achukwunet hmm. . .& i actually said "moisturize" in my reply? anyway may be for you,all i know is that i dont get any of those dead layers peeling off my lower lip when i constantly apply a lip gloss/balm. thats what i meant by dry,chapped lips.who ever said anything about moisturizing your lips. . . ![]() |

agege bread!! ;d |
i see the topic in question is difficult for some people to understand. . .may be i should rephrase it. Why do people go through all that trouble putting up a dining section(table) & still eat else where in the house? for me ,i think dining together on a table brings you together as friends/families.(like one of the posters said). when you do sit on the table to eat it gives one the right posture allowing proper digestion,rather than slouching or bending over to eat from the floor or center table. |
in the city you eat at the dining table. in the village, you dont. overseas, its up to the people involved where they want to eat and the op might consider watching how she gossips about the folks she visits.
As much as i hate to repond to unintelligent replies & topics especially on NL,i think i'll make an exception here. do try to distinguish between an obsevation & "gossip" before you begin to derail the topic in discussion. |
@pslm23 hi dear,you should also get some movies with OSUOFIA(Nkem Owoh) in it,they are rib cracking. how's hubby doing, & hope you're putting your feet up,he should help massage them too.its soothing & will help you relax rather than depressed.take care.it is well. |
does any one know where i can buy O.P.I. nail polish. or ORIGINAL sally hanson nail polish in lagos. the whole stores in lagos are stocking up rubbish as nail polish. |
@pslm23 not to worry,we're here for you.all that pain will soon be gone. for the back pain,ask your hubby to keep robbing your lower spine(the region before where your bum seperates),he can use a massage or just a moisturizer and slowly massage in a circular motion & try to relax on a bed or something while doing this is going on. You can find a local Nigerian movie to watch maybe a funny one, i hope this helps,do get well. |
yea,heard George Bush junior is dyslexic too.if you see a specialist they will tell you what to do & how you can help her do better.she should be fine. |
i even have an in-law who eats on the floor of the living room with her husband,one time i visited & i was served a meal in a tray while sitting in the living room,then i got up to eat on the dining table,and she said she didn't have the strength to tidy the table after the meal,thats why they dont use it. ![]() |
@Fhemmy really. . hilarious. i guess they don't want furniture makers to earn a living . . |
i grew up getting used to eating on the dining table,even if i was eating alone but later discovered that each time i visited other friends and families i would notice how each person in the house would disappear into their bedrooms from the kitchen with their bowl/tray of food. i can understand if the apartment is too small & there's no dining table, now i see couples and even singles who have nicely furnished homes & dining rooms/tables but still prefer to carry their meals on their laps or eat from the coffee (centre)table.Why? infact i have an uncle who's got grown up kids and has converted his dining table to a desk(dumping news papers,files etc).he left just a small area on the table,probably for more junk to pile up. Now he eats on the coffee table. |
@original poster she's probably dyslexic,you should take her to see a specialist,i would suggest a paediatrician immediately.NEVER SELF-MEDICATE YOUR CHILD. |
@pslm23 don't worry dear,it comes with the package,you'll feel better soon.Remember , you have take care of yourself and the babies. |
