Education / Re: How Can I Make First Class? by valianty(m): 1:49pm On Feb 28, 2015
First class is good but scarce in government universities. If you attend private university you can get it easily. Now to your question, take every assignment and CA seriously get at least 25 marks before exams. Then look for the remaining 45 marks in exams. Memorize some notes if need be because some lecturers like it that way. Understand your reading pattern and keep to it. Keep the right group of people around you who have similar dream. Remember first class starts at 4.5 ie 50% B grades plus 50% A grades for your allocated units. So when you fall below B grades get more As to eliminate the short fall. It's a pride to have a first-class especially from a government federal or state university where it is not easy to get it. See you at the finish line!
Politics / Re: PDP Cancels Presidential Primary by valianty(m): 10:50am On Sep 21, 2014
Every incumbent president tends to control the party decision to get a second term if there is room for it. We cannot get another Mandela who stepped down after a successful single term. It is sad to see incompetence at a first trial lobbying for a second chance. Well na naija we dey. However, the opposition will not do something better(my prediction) as long as our politics is still a selfish one.

I can maintain it but I won't do it. I tried one but I realised that I was playing AWAY MATCH with another 'home based' guy. The guy won. I was left in the cold cry
Anyway, distance relationship will work if both of you sincerely want to make it work.

Romance / Re: When Parents Oppose Your Relationship? by valianty(m): 4:25pm On Sep 05, 2006
@Actuary

What do u do when u're hopelessly in love and your folks are opposing strongly to your relationship?

Please don't be hopelessly in love. There are many reasons for being hopelessly in love (not the issue now). Open your eyes and don't pretend. Is there anything in your relationship that you think you can cope with but your folks know you can't (based on your peculiar family values)? You need to prove to them if you know you can cope. Remember marriage is for better for worse.
Now put your folks apart, hear the views of real friends (who know you well and can tell you the truth) about your folks reasons of disapproval. They can be of help to you.

My advice to you is to pray and put your past behind you. Your trials are indications that you are precious.
