See don't let us deceive ourselves the extent of APC underground work in Lagos is Overwhelming...
When last did you hear JK political godfather sef Bode George... Even defection of Salvador and Obanikoro hasn't helped PDP Lagos State...

Bro Atiku Pre Election ground plan in Lagos is underwhelming alongside that of Agbaje...

Don't be suprised if heavy gridlock prevents Atiku supporters getting to Obalende on Tuesday ooo...#Incumbency things

If not for LNSC,Police etc that helped Buhari and blockage of road most supporters would find it difficult getting to Surulere...

Off course Filling TBS is lesser task than Teslim...

If Buhari had went straight from the airport to the stadium, he would have met them all, but he went instead to the king palace and also commissioned some projects at LUTH.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that it has not been an easy journey to pilot the affairs of the country in the past three and half years.

According to him, he has not taken the support of Nigerians for granted, promising to continue to protect the interest of the people and deliver on his mandate.

In a video message to Nigerians titled “We will continue to work to protect your interest and deliver our mandate“, he requested for more support in the February 16 presidential election.

He said: “It’s been over three years since you gave me the mandate to oversee the affairs of our dear country.

“It’s not been an easy journey but with sincerity of purpose, perseverance, dedication and most importantly support from individuals like you, we have made great progress.

“Some of these achievements are visible for everyone to see, some are still in the works.

“I hereby humbly ask for your support again in the coming election to enable us to move to the NEXT LEVEL and consolidate on the successes recorded in making our country a better place.

“I don’t take your support for granted. We will continue to work to protect your interest and deliver our mandate.”

Politics › Re: Corruption Threatens Nigeria – And Its Election  By Muhammadu Buhari by Validated: 1:35am On Feb 11, 2019
[s]
Oluwabash:
On February 16th, Nigeria will hold a general election. Four years ago, the country experienced its first democratic transfer of power to the opposition since 1999. The vote in a few days will be no less significant.

As president, I have tried to judiciously exercise the trust vested in me to combat the problems of corruption, insecurity and an inequitable economy. All are important. But amongst them, one stands above the others as both a cause and aggravator of the rest. It is, of course, corruption.

A policy programme that does not have fighting corruption at its core is destined to fail. The battle against graft must be the base on which we secure the country, build our economy, provide decent infrastructure and educate the next generation.

This is the challenge of our generation: the variable on which our success as a nation shall be determined. But the vested interests at play can make this fight difficult. By way of their looting, the corrupt have powerful resources at their disposal. And they will use them. For when you fight corruption, you can be sure it will fight back.

It even threatens to undermine February’s poll and – by extension – our democracy. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has raised concerns over laundered money being funnelled into vote buying. This is the problem of corruption writ large. It illustrates how it lurks in all and every crevice of public life, manipulating due process in pursuit of self-preservation and perpetuation; protecting personal political and economic interests at the expense of the common good.

Indeed, those who have criticised my administration’s anti-corruption drive are those who oppose its mission. And though their lawyers may craft expensive alibis, they cannot escape that which binds them together: a raft of documents and barely legal (some clearly illegal) mechanisms – whether that be the Panama Papers, US Congress reports, shell companies or offshore bank accounts.

Corruption corrodes the trust on which the idea of community is founded, because one rule for the few and another for everyone else is unacceptable to anyone working honestly.

But as we have intensified our war on corruption, so we have found that corruption innovates to resist the law. This is not the sole domain of those Nigerians, but the international corruption industry: the unsavoury fellow-traveler of globalisation.

Once the enablers are let in – as they have been in the past – the greed of those they collude with grows. We have closed the door on them, but unfortunately there still remain individuals who are willing to open windows.

Concrete progress has been made, but there is still much to do. We have repatriated hundreds of millions of dollars stowed away in foreign banks. These funds have been transparently deployed on infrastructural projects and used to directly empower the poorest in society. More is still to come from our international partners in France, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Yet the hundreds of billions sifted out of the country for the best part of this century promise more.

We have secured high profile convictions, but greater cases remain. Lawyers table endless objections to obstruct court proceedings, whilst their clients hope it lasts until a ‘friendly’ president is voted into office. We must continue to tighten the legal framework and ensure the authorities have the investigative powers at their disposal to secure sentences. Only then will we begin to neutralise the advantages the corrupt have.

More ghost workers must be removed from government payroll (almost $550 million has been saved from identifying phantom employees). More can be recovered through our whistle-blower policy ($370 million has been returned since its launch in 2016). More is still to come. But, together, we shall prevail over corruption.

A Yoruba proverb states that only the patient one can milk a lion. Likewise, victory over corruption is difficult, but not impossible. We must not flounder in our resolve. I know many Nigerians would like to see faster action. So do I. But so too must we follow due process and exercise restraint, ensuring allegation never takes the place of evidence. For that is not the Nigeria we should wish to build.

There is no doubt that this Administration has changed the way we tackle corruption. The choice before voters is this: Do we continue forward on this testing path against corruption? Or do revert to the past, resigned to the falsehood that it is just the-way-things-are-done? Or that it is just too difficult – too pervasive – to fix? I know which one I would choose. It is why I am asking Nigerians for another four years to serve them.

Politics › Corruption: Election Rigging Is The Highest Form Of Corruption by Validated(op): 2:16am On Feb 10, 2019
It is my humble submission that we confront election rigging and make efforts to stamp it out. Why do I believe that we need to rise up against rigging. Rigging is more wicked than stealing money. Otherwise, how would one justify the fact that a mandate freely given by the people is subjugated to the "wicked thievery" of a few?
Anyone who gets into office by rigging would have no commitment to the voters. Hence, I am for free, credible and fair electoral victory.

In Nigeria today, robbery of any form attracts jungle justice. Same applies to common thieves and kidnappers, where caught. Why do we overlook electoral frauds? Why do we allow thugs to snatch ballot boxes? Why do we look the other way when INEC officials are collecting bribes? Why do we condone fraudulent results? Why are our security agencies not given same jungle justice when they perpetrate frauds? Why do we see people buying and selling votes and pretend that all is will? We do we tolerate frauds and pretend to be fighting corruption? What is cotruption, is stealing people's mandate not corruption?

As we go to the polls on Saturday, February 16, 2019, I would like to call on all Nigerians, especially the youth to form vanguards for the protection of our votes. Lets make our votes count. We are the ones to make our nation beautiful. We are the ones to stop thuggery. We are the ones to say "enough is enough" and the time is NOW! If we continue to remain silent, thugs, agberos, never-do-wells will continue to rule and lord it over us and of course, reduce us to mere inconsequential voters. How long are we to continue condoning this? My friend, this is 2019. The world is not waiting for Nigeria, nay Africa. Let us start now. Let us stand our ground and insist thst our votes must count.

It pains me each time I get into Europe or America and see how orderly the people conduct their affairs, how progressively things are done. Never heard of ballot snatching, never heard of security agencies aiding and abetting frauds. Never seen or heard of people in government ruling with impunity. Never heard that national constitutions are subjugated to the whims of a set of never-do-wells. In Nigeria, you see, hear, touch things that people world over shudder about. What realky is our oroblemhuh

Sometimes, I wonder if our educational system is really effective? Our value system is totally eroded. We lie to ourselves, make false claims, and do all manner of things including whipping up religious and ethnic sentiments to justify our actions and evil intents.

Friend, please join this revolution. While we seem to have gotten independence from Britain, we are now colonised by a few Nigerians who are now our local masters. We need freedom. Our electoral process should be sound enough to whip leaders into line. They do not perform because believe in rigging themselves back to office. This must stop. Let us make our votes count come February 16.

God bless!

My friend, as you read this remember that this nation can only grow if we make conscious effort towards that. We must vote in the right candidates, stand and defend our rights.

Politics › Why Did National Peace Committee Not Prevail On Buhari To Sign Electoral Act? by Validated(op): 2:37am On Dec 12, 2018
Peace does not exist in isolation. Peace cannot thrive in absence of rule of Law and more importantly, respect for the laws. A system that guarantees peace must be hinged on good laws and such laws help to regulate the system thereby guaranteeing peace and peaceful co-existence.

The members of the National Peace Committee (NPC) know that the panacea for peaceful conduct of the 2019 elections must be hinged on sound electoral laws and also the willingness of all stakeholders to respect such laws. The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have passed such law which have undergone several amendments at the instance of the Presidency. The INEC budget for 2019 Elections which were premised on the provisions of the Electoral Acts was sent to the National assembly by the presidency/Buhari. When the law was sent to him for assent, he declined.

My question to the members of the National Peace Committee (NPC) is, what extant laws do they expect the peace accord to be hinged on? A situation where elections are blatantly rigged, open vote buying are common knowledge and results are manipulated at the receiving of phone calls, what peace are the members of the National Peace Committee (NPC) talking about? Are they asking that we should maintain peace in the face of blatant rigging like was experienced in Osun State? Were the members of the National Peace Committee (NPC) not in Nigeria when Adeleke was robbed in broad daylight? Were they in the moon when the security agencies took over the affairs of voters accreditation, allowing only those with white handkerchief to vote while disenfranchising others?

The National Peace Committee (NPC) should first prevail on APC and the President to assent to the 2018 Electoral Act, then we can be talking of peaceful conduct of elections. I strongly support PDP and Atiku's stance on this. "If you make peaceful change impossible, you make violent changes inevitable".

This same Buhari that is rushing to sign a Peace accord was threatening to form a parallel government in 2014. Did we forget that they were not willing to allow peace after the elections, except they were declared winners? Today, we are on the same crossroad and the only panacea to peace is for the presidency to accept and assent to the 2018 Electoral Act. Failing which, they should not expect peace after a rigged elections.

If Buhari secures 200,000 from SS and SE in 2019, it was rigged. APC should just concentrate on winning their Northern stronghold where Buhari's turf is being threathened by Kwankwaso, Tambulwa and Atiku. Wasting effort and resources on the likes of Akpabio, Uduaghan, Orji Kalu, Amaechi is just not going to help them. Is it Amaechi who could not win his state as a sitting governor that is going to do that when "Wiked" and Magnus Abe are against him or an Akpabio, who is struggling to save face in order to justify his "saintship"?

APC are dead in SS/SE/NC and a substantial part of North East. Only NW and SW can save them. Even Lagos votes is already in jeopardy! Do not believe an Ambode who is trying to save his job. APC will know TRUE Ambode come mid-January, 2019. If you know, you know!!!
