Ebele Goodluck Jonathan decided to go on exile for reasons best known to all Nigerians except the ones he casted a spell on.
Good enough you mentioned that all those other thieves retired to their country homes. Jonathan has not retired. If Buhari can be president at 73, nothing stops Jonathan from returning to the presidency. He is only in his sixties. By the way, what is wrong in going on exile or asylum? Even Jesus went to exile when Herod sought to kill him. Some of us who have never tasted governance in Nigeria are on economic asylum, courtesy of your "lord and messiah", Buhari. Politics › States Should Tax Cattle Rearers As Traders Are Taxed - Opinion by Validated(op): 9:41pm On May 24, 2016
The issues around grazing by Fulanis across Nigeria is one thorny issue that should make state governments and Local Government counterparts to begin to looking inwards towards exploring revenue earning opportunity from these nomads. It is on record that traders across the length and breath of Nigeria pay series of levies, taxes and rates. Recent events have made it necessary for every state and local government council to look at enacting laws either prohibiting cattle rearing or make the cattle-rearer and owners to pay taxes and levies that would be enough to cover losses on their paths. Additionally, cattle owners should be made to obtain insurance coverage to cover likely losses on the paths of the animals.

The menace of the herdsmen need to be curtailed somehow. In developed world, cattle or any other animal husbandry take place in ranches. The argument that Fulani herdsmen can graze their cattle in any state is likened to asking traders to perpetrate street trading without molestation. If we are forcing street traders off the roads, we should as well force Fulani herdsmen off peoples farm into their ranches.

You are also grossly inexperienced in anything.
What the government is doing is called strategic agility. The oil market has crashed, that is a static reality but there are other constantly changing events like the quantity of oil we are actually selling, the price of the fuel we are importing , the weak exports etc. C. Everything is constantly changing and very fast. Under those conditions you just don't sit tight, besides the MPC and exchange rates are CBN issues that the FG usually does not interfere with.
Face saving and lame defense. When people were telling Buhari to allow a flexible rate, he went to Aljazeera to declare "tough luck" to those advising, then you lot hailed him! Today you are defending a clueless decision with "strategic agility". What strategic agility can you refer to a decision based on sentiments like "nobody has been able to convince me why I should devalue Naira" or "IBB devaluation killed the Naira".

Like they say, "leadership is not a popularity contest". In an attempt to appear popular in the eyes of some of you, Buhari has technically destroyed the Naira. Wait and see the impact of this new policy on everything. Thought you lot were jubilating the Chinese yuan would turn things around! Clueless government with zombie followers

Tunde Bakare has always been a renowned back-stabber. He back-stabbed Pastor Adeboye by converting the flocks and properties entrusted to his care to his. Because of fear of Karma, he could not establish a single parish outside his Akilo church. He attempted to establish one at Excellence Hotel Ogba, but the Karma hunted him still. Today, I want to take time and thank God for making Buhari the president of this great country Nigeria.

At first, I did not understand why God allowed it to happen. But now I know and I have seen the benefit. This is how I understand the benefit. Had it been Buhari did not become president:

1. We will think that by now fuel will be N45 per litre.

2. We will think that by now N1 will be equal to $1.

3. We will think that by now three million jobs would have been created.

4. We will think that by now unemployed youths would have been receiving N5,000 stipends.

5. We will think that by now pupils would have been getting at least a meal(including fruits) in school.

6. We will think that by now Buhari would have made his assets and liabilities public.

7. We will think that by now 720,000 jobs by the 36 states in the federation yearly (20,000 per state) would have been created.

8. We will think that by now there would be permanent peace in the Niger Delta and other conflict prone areas such as Plateau, Taraba, Bauchi, Borno and Abia.

9. We will think that by now the government would have started creating additional middle-class of at least two million new home owners in the first year in government and one million annually thereafter.

10. We will think that by now maternal and children healthcare services would be free.

Politics › Re: View World Fuel Price And Tell Me If ₦145/ Litre Is Expensive? by Validated: 2:50pm On May 21, 2016
apisadodo:
I am not happy sharing this information because I am also affected
in the new fuel price but I just had to share this with you. If we are
to face the reality, how expensive is fuel in Nigeria, compared to
other countries? At ₦145/Litre, is fuel too expensive in Nigeria?
As surprising as it may seem, Nigeria is ranked 12th as per
cheapest price of petrol in 173 countries even with the new ₦145
per litre price according to Globalpetrolprices.com
In Nigeria, fuel now costs ₦145/L and with the current exchange
rate that is fluctuating between ₦320-₦360 to a dollar, it means we
are paying about $0.44/L
1. In United States, fuel is sold at the pump price of $0.65/L
( ₦214/L).
2. South Africa - $0.84/L (₦277),
3. Russia $0.55/L (₦181/L),
4. Canada - $0.91/L (₦300/L)
5. Ghana - $0.92 (₦303/L)
6. China - $0.93 (₦306/L)
Some will argue that the countries above are not petroleum
exporting countries (OPEC) like Nigeria, but what about OPEC
member countries like:
7. Angola, where PMS is sold at $1/L (about ₦330),
8. Iraq - $0.64/L (₦211),
9. Venezuela pump price is $0.60/L (₦198/L)withPresident
Nicolas Maduro calling the approximately ₦198/Lpump price ‘one
of the cheapest in the world’.
10. Even in the oil rich, United Arab Emirates (UAE) PMS is sold at
$0.45/L which is about (₦148/L)which is more expensive than the
price in Nigeria.
According to Globalpetrolprices.com , In Hong Kong, the pump
price is set at $1.85/L (about ₦610/L) making the country the
most expensive seller of gasoline in the world.
With the facts and figures above, at ₦145/L fuel is not expensive,
it’s actually one of the cheapest in the world, but because of the
poor living conditions of millions of Nigerians, it appears
expensive and thus, many Nigerians struggle to afford it.
That is why the government needs to provide welfare programs,
kill that disease called corruption, invest in electricity, education,
fix refineries, provide jobs and reduce poverty in the country
Op, this is why some people call you APC supporters Zombie. One would have expected you to do the following:

Put fuel price per litre alongside minimum wage. I will not waste my time going through all your selected countries, but in Canada fuel is now about CAD$1.09 or N240 (assuming CAD$ ~ N220 using USD/Naira cross rate of N275 - (SCB charged me yesterday)). Now minimum wage in Canada is CAD11.5 per hour. That translates to ($11.5*8Hrs*22days), which gives CAD$2024 or N445,280 per month.
Now, op, compare Nigeria minimum wage of N18,000 to Canadian N445,280 and tell me if your analysis still make any sensehuh

OP, please you are a human being and not a robot. Humans use their brains but robots use the no brain and are manipulated at will by the owners or manufacturer. The pictures you downloaded and which APC has been brandishing to the whole world is fraught with so many errors and inconsistencies.

These pictures came as a face saving measure after series of questions were put forward to Bornu State governor requesting that the pictures of the kidnapped girls used for WAEC registration be provided. Some of these inconsistencies have even created more doubts in some of us.

Now, lets go and let me show you some things you never knew about these passport photographs:

i. 276 students were said to have been kidnapped. Bornu State and Government Girls Secondary School Chibok could only provide passports for only about 30. If you look at the passports provided, you would realise that rows 6 to 11 are the copy, paste and expand of the earlier pictures by eliminating the first column.

ii. WAEC standard passports are supposed to be taken with CLEAR background. However, all the pictures provided were taken with bushes as background. Apparently, they missed this fact and goofed on this front!

iii. WAEC passport requires candidates to sit erect, and facing the camera directly. Most passports are usually taken while wearing School uniform. Why are some candidates on the Chibok pictures showing side of their faces only? Another goof by the people saddled with responsibility of providing this vital piece of evidence. Please, see the following:
Row 1 (1, 2, 4 & 5) - side faced pics
Row 2 (1, 3 & 5) - side faced pics
Row 3 (1, 3 & 6) - side faced pics
Row 4 (1, 2 & 5) - side faced pics
Row 5 (4 & 5) - side faced pics

Now let me address the new lie for you to know that this is a FANATICAL LIE!

i. The rescued girl can neither read, write nor speak English. This is after attending classes in English for 12 years and preparing to write WAEC Physics practicals

ii. The Amina Ali on Chibok passport is fair in complexion, but rescued girl is dark in complexion. You may argue that suffering turned her dark, but check the following:
- Nose: Amina Ali has flat nose, the rescued girl has pointed nose
- Mouth: Amina Ali has wide mouth, the rescued girl has small mouth
- Chin: Amina has broad chin while the rescued individual has pointed and small chin

iii. The rescued individual was given three (3) different names (Amina Ali, Aisha Ali, and Mbamala)

iv. The rescued individual was 17 at the time of kidnap, but rescued at "13" or so

v. The rescued individual was married Boko Haram commander, but rescued with another husband who is now called "predator".

Dear OP, let us be true to ourselves. These politicians are are problems. They manipulate the gullible and take advantage of the people low IQ!!

To all those advocating military option, it is now on record that Nigeria has dropped to No. 2 oil producer in Africa, losing approximately 800,000 barrels per day. Simply put, we are losing $38.4M daily or $1.2Billion monthly. This is aside the losses associated with gas leaks, poor electricity supply, loss man-hour, cost of repairing damaged facilities and the costs associated with keeping the army, navy and police in the bushes and creeks. THE National Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions Employees, NUBIFIE, yesterday, asked bank workers to comply with the directive by organised labour to stay at home from tomorrow should government fail to reverse the hike in the pump price of petrol.
NUBIFIE, in a statement by its President and General Secretary, Danjuma Musa and Mohammed Sheiki, respecti-vely, also called on manage-ment of banks to comply with the sit-at-home directive “in the interest of our organisation and the masses of Nigeria.”
According to the statement, after an emergency meeting of the union, where the current hike in the pump price of petrol by the government was discussed, the union, having reviewed the implications of such action on the already impoverished Nigerians, had resolved to join hands with the organised labour and all civil society allies to resist the hike.
It said: “We condemn the unilateral increase, as we have seen before that the solution to perennial scarcity of petroleum products can never be addressed by merely increasing pump price of petroleum products.”

http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2016/05/15/1-million-nigerians-to-receive-n5000-monthly/

DExplorer1:
...

This disclosure was made last night by the Senior Special Assistant for Media & Publicity to the President, Mr. Laolu Akande, in an interaction with the press in Abuja.

He gave new details and a breakdown of the interventions and palliatives, some of which he said would be starting in a matter of weeks thus:

1.*the direct payment of N5000 monthly to one million extremely poor Nigerians for 12 months as provided for in the 2016 budget for which N$68.7B has been appropriated.
2*the direct provision of very soft loan -cash for market women, men and traders, including artisans and Agric workers. This would be for a total of 1.76m Nigerians, without the requirement for conventional collateral. Some of the traders will likely get about N60,000. A total sum of N140.3B has already been appropriated for this in the budget,
3*payment of between N23,000 to N30,000 per month to 500,000 unemployed graduates who would be trained, paid and deployed to work as volunteer teachers, public health officers and extension service workers among other responsibilities.
-They would also be given electronic devices to empower them technologically both for their assignments and beyond
-similarly 100,000 artisans would also be trained and paid
N191.5B has been set aside for this in the passed budget.
4. At least 5.5 million Nigerian primary school children -ie starting first in 18 states-three per geopolitical zones-would be fed for 200 school days under the free Homegrown School Feeding Programme. N93.1B has been appropriated for this in the 2016 budget.
5. 100,000 tertiary students in Science Technology Engineering & Maths-STEM, plus Education will partake in the N5.8B already provided for this education grant in the budget. This payment would also be paid directly to the students.

When added together this year alone, more than 8 million Nigerians would be benefiting from the Social Investment budget.

Akande who works from the Office of the Vice President said the N500B social investement programmes of the Buhari administration is a ready made palliative to lift Nigerians from poverty and economic hardship...
Today is May 16, 2016, so even if these palliatives were implemented immediately, let us go through the facts around just two of the programmes to prove the LIES and vanities around the projects":

1.*the direct payment of N5000 monthly to one million extremely poor Nigerians for 12 months as provided for in the 2016 budget for which N$68.7B has been appropriated.
We have only 7 months to go for year 2016 meaning that you would only be paying 5K*1m*7mths. What data have you collected to determine beneficiaries? Why tell people you budgeted N68.5B for such a programme with a 12 months span when half year is gone?

4. At least 5.5 million Nigerian primary school children -ie starting first in 18 states-three per geopolitical zones-would be fed for 200 school days under the free Homegrown School Feeding Programme. N93.1B has been appropriated for this in the 2016 budget.

The 2015/2016 school year ends in a month or so. Assuming you are sincere on implementing this programme, it would only be done during First Term of 2016/2017 academic year. We know that a term is not more than 13 weeks. That is approx 65 school day (MAX). How did Osinbajo arrive at 200 days in 2016??

The biggest lie is the fact that these phantom programmes are being rolled out as palliative for hardship associated with fuel increase. The estimated cost in 2016 is about N500B according to Senior Special Assistant for Media & Publicity to the President, Mr. Laolu Akande. This is in addition to proposed salary increase to N45000 (minimum wages). Let us assume that for all Federal, State and LGA another N500B would be spent as salaries increase.

So in essence you are earmarking about N1Trillion as palliatives. Question is by how much would government have subsidized fuel for rest of year 2016??

If Nigerians consume about 42 million litres per day (consistently), even on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays for the rest of 2016, government would only be paying (42m Litres*N58*210 days) = N511 Billion. Does it make any sense to waste an additional N500 Billion on palliatives??

With the country estimated prison population of 57,000, the country is roughly spending N14,000 for a three-square meal of each prisoner per day. http://dailynigerian.com/2016/05/10/nigeria-spends-n14000-daily-to-feed-each-prisoner-minister/
This government is full of clowns. I am wondering, how we got this low.
The president does not read his budget, yet presents to NASS!!!
EFCC do not investigate before going to the press!!!
Now a minister is saying this trash. Either he is confused, misquoted or just went to press as usual without verifying facts.

Now check this: There are 365 days in a Calendar year. If actually you feed prisoners 3 times a day, that translates to 1095 meals per prisoner. If you have 57000 prisoners, that amounts to 62,450,000 meals in a year. Therefore if you budgeted N10 Billion, you are actually spending N480.65 per day or N160.22 per meal.

This minister deserves to be sacked immediately, politic aside!!!

Chinese in dollars? The Chinese buy a lot of crude
oil from us, so why must they pay us in dollars?
So PMB made a deal with the Chinese. We pay
for the goods we buy from China in Yuan, the
Chinese currency. They buy our crude oil and pay
in Yuan.
The exchange rate is to be pegged at 30 Naira to
one Yuan or RMB.
So how does it favour us? Simple.
The Yuan is now 6.48 to a dollar. So if you pay
30 Naira to the Yuan, that would be equivalent to
194.4 Naira to the dollar.
Since the dollar exchanges for 199 Naira, you
save N4.6. 199 - 194.4 = 4.6. Simple, huh?
In simple terms, PMB has just strengthened the
Naira by 9.15%!
And that's not the end of the story. As we begin
to deal in the Yuan, the demand for dollar would
plummet and this in turn would weaken the
dollar. It would crash to around 140 Naira to the
dollar.
May God bless PMB. Can I hear Amin.

You are simply a LEARNER. Wait until you see the real deal. Buhari has gone back to his "counter trade economics of 1984", which ruined Nigeria and led to his removal. Just wait boy, do not jubilate yet!

Ọkunrin alagbara ti Yorubaland, Ayo Fayose the great. The Lion of Oodua!!! The slayer of APC and cub of Bourdillon. NOTHING DO YOU!!! grin
Honestly, if not for Fayose, I have always believed the long held notion that, majority of Yoruba people were cowards, but Fayose has disproved that. By the time the lizard of Ubima comes to compare notes, he would realise that he was just a 'nuisance' then!!!
