As long as he has not been charged to court, noone has the power to coerce him to release such information. He has not denied receiving money but has asked EFCC to take him to court and not their sensational media trial. Let us be sensible for once in Nigeria.

Politics › 2016 Budget: N362M To Feed Animal In Aso Rock; N0.00 To Feed School Children by Validated(op): 5:43pm On Jan 05, 2016
The APC promised to feed Nigerian Children in 2016, but budgeted N0.00 for this. Ironically, the same APC budgeted N362M to feed animals. Another N115 million is budgeted for foodstuffs and catering materials for President Buhari alone, an increase of over 64 percent above that of President Jonathan. This translates to N314,208 per day. What is Buhari and family eating that costs the nation N314,208 a day.
A school child day meal of rice and beans with a piece of meat cannot be more than N150.00 yet a family of 5 eats N314,208 or N63,000 a day. The budget for animals and Buhari family alone can feed 3,800,000 school children

You exhibit a lazy person's attributes.

Lazy people always wish everything crashes to the ground so that everyone would be at the same level with them. It doesn't happen always. Even if that was possible, lazy people won't still be able to do anything with their lives until they are left behind again.

This is the LCCI. They are the employers of labour. They spoke about credit freeze, they are worried about lack of access to forex in the economy. Is it a good thing to you?

What shady business are they doing? Thousands of people won't be returning to their jobs after the holidays due to what the chamber just identified, but according to your jaundiced opinion, they must be into 'shady deals'. Anyone who is successful is doing illegal business in your own estimation, while all the 'poor' people are law abiding.

Don't worry, the price of bread is next.

We'll read your ranting on that too.

Perhaps the bakers are into shady deals too.
Forgot the lazy duck. I remembered while building in Lagos, every artisan believed you must be stealing to be able to put up reasonable structure. It is a failure and lazy man's mentality. They earn meagre pay and blow everything they get on weekends and expect everyone around them to remain poor like them.

It is season of prophesy so let me give you mine also. Please, revert to this page later.
1. There will hamattan cold in Bauchi, Yobe, Maiduguri, Taraba and Plateau states.in January so all those living in these states should take precautions to avoid catastrophic illnesses.
2. Heavy heat wave would be experienced in these states from March 2016. The south should be wary if heavy rainfall. There will be flood in some parts of Lagos, so people in Lekki, Ajah, VI, Ifako in Lagos and Benin in Edo should take precautions
3.Governor Ambode should pray that he dies not fallout with Tinubu because if he does, it will be disastrous for him
4. Fashola should be careful about his tollgate and electricity tariff matter, if not he will lose his credibility
5. Rotimi Amaechi should focus on his ministerial role and forget Rivers otherwise, he may be in BIG trouble that may ruin his political career. I see Peter side weeping for losing again.
6. I see people crying in a palace. Do not ask me where but it is a palace
7. Someone will win a lot of money and others will lose at the same time.
8. A prominent man of God will have to pray seriously for his congregation not to decrease
9. Peace shall return to many countries now in crisis but some new ones will start. Pray for peace in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, and most importantly Israel.
10. America, oh America, have you found love with a new president? Why not stay with who you loved? Oh America. Some prophecies are better left unsaid.

Wish you a splendid 2016. Please read my opening remark, I NEVER SAID THUS SAID THE LORD!!!

Politics › Re: Why Oil revenue in 2016 budget is just 820 billion naira? An Explanation!! by Validated: 1:00pm On Dec 24, 2015
tuale4u:
The IPOB guy did not understand the budget. let me help him explain. I work in oil company.

1. The Federal government budget is the Budget of the federal government alone. Not the Budget of the country.
Thus from the Nigeria sharing formula, the Federal government takes about 54% of the total oil revenue accruing to the country (Nigeria Federation).

2. Most of the oil production in Nigeria are JV and PSC. Using the JV template, Nigeria (the federation not Federal govt) only owns 60% of the oil produced and the Oil companies owns the remaining 40% of the oil produced per day .

thus the 2.2 million per day, only 0.6*2.2million=1.32million belong to Nigeria (The federation).

Federal govt share (Potential) = 0.54*1.32million=712,800 per day.

3. The actual average production per day is about 80% of the Potential production
this is because of 20% shutdown for maintenance, unplanned shut downs, pipeline vandalisation etc.

Thus the Federal govt actual average production per day = 0.8*712,800=570,240.

4. Today the average cost of production per barrel in Nigeria is about $18 per barrel.
Actually some onshore field cost are as low as $10 per barrel while some deep offshore and shallow offshore cost are as high as $25 dollar per barrel. Today more than 60% of Nigeria crude are from Offshore. thus using an average cost of $18 per barrel is realistic.

Thus out of the $38 dollar per barrel price of oil, the net revenue to the govt is about $20 per barrel.

thus the expected revenue to federal government from direct sales of Crude oil in 2016 is:

= $20 *199naira/1$ *570240*366*billion/1000000000= 830billion naira

From my estimation the Federal government expected revenue from direct oil sales is about 830billion naira which is very close to 820 billion naira estimated from federal government.

However, this is not all the federal govt get from having oil in this country. The oil companies pay company tax in hunderds of billion of naira.
But the govt choose to call it company tax because other companies that are not oil companies pay tax too. However the company Tax of oil companies is about 85% of their profit. Thus of the about 1.5 trillion naira expected revenue from Company Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), Customs and Excise duties, and Federation Account levies, about 50% of it are coming from oil companies.
CIT (Company Income Tax) is different from PPT (Petroleum Profit Tax). Perhaps you need to confirm where exactly PPT is hidden. While CIT is calculated at 30% of taxable profit, PPT is @ 85%. Kindly review and revert so we do not hide some income. You are doing fairly well though! There still lot of gaps for manipulation. Zero based budget should be tightly nitted to avoid siphoning.

Yes, I am sick because we have a nation that does no value the lives of her citizen, even in 2015 21st century). This is not 1976 dear, the rest of the world have moved on.
Yes, I am sick because you cannot see beyond your noses, just because you are either politically blinded or etnically bias.
Yes, I am sick of a system that does no value lives. A system that gives anyone in authority the right "impudence" to maim, kill and destroy.

Politics › What Was Buratai Doing In Zaria When Army Command Centre Is In Maiduguri?? by Validated(op): 6:37am On Dec 18, 2015
Please, I am not here to paint anyone bad. However, if Gen. Tukur Buratai was actively coordinating the war in NE, perhaps the Shiites massacre would not have occured. I remembered that on assumption of office, Buhari accused the erstwhile military command struture of abandoning their responsibilities in the war zone and sitting in Abuja. The president insisted that they should be in the war zone to defeat Boko Haram. That was the premise upon which the Military Command Centre was moved to Maiduguri and Gen "Push-Up" Buratai appointed.

My questions are:
What was the Chief of Army Staff looking for in Zaria at the time of Shiite procession while Boko Haram are killing senior officers in Maiduguri??
Could the attack have been a premeditated plan to unleash terror on the Shiites?
Could the COAS have taken another route to his destination rather than engage a group on religious activities??

I think that something is not right here. As Nigerians, let put aside political sentiments and parochial ethnic biases. A public inquiry should be instituted by Buhari to find out the remote and real cause of the face-off that led to the death of about 300 unarmed Nigerians. If this can happen to muslims of which Buhari and Buratai are "brothers/sister" in same religion, what makes you think that one day, when a COAS would be passing through Lagas Ibadan expressway, army will not kill worshippers because the road was "blocked".

By the way, it is totally appalling that we do not value human lives any more in Nigeria. Just last month, France lost about 129 people and the whole world almost froze, yet in Nigeria, Boko Haram, Fulani Herdsmen, Army and Police have wasted over 2000 lives since Buhari took over.
Neither the president nor NASS feels concerned. What is the essence of leadership if people's lives are not secured? Will you be leading the dead??

Fellow Nigerians, I feel compelled to call us out to collectively call this government to account. Today, it does not affect you so you may say, "How does it concern me!!" Be reminded of the words of Martin Niemöller (1892–1984), "First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

What a Nation we have undecided undecided
Politics › Re: Buhari Got 2 Suvs From Jonathan After Violent Attack –presidency by Validated: 1:58am On Dec 16, 2015
myners007:
The Presidency has denied reports on social media that President Muhammadu Buhari received $300,000.00 and up to five armoured sport utility vehicle (SUVs)from the Office of the National Security Adviser in the aftermath of the attack on his convoy in Kaduna last year.
It said what Buhari got was one armoured SUV and one untreated SUV after the attack but were his normal entitlements as a former head of state under the Remuneration of Former Presidents and Heads of State (And other Ancillary Matters) Decree of 1999.
Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in a statement, said the president did not accept a questionable monetary compensation from former president Goodluck Jonathan.
“We unequivocally deny that President Buhari received $300,000.00 or any monetary compensation whatsoever from the Jonathan Presidency or any of its officials, in the aftermath of that attack, or at any other time since then.
“While it is true that one armoured SUV and one untreated SUV were sent to the president in the aftermath of the attack, the vehicles were in keeping with his entitlements as a former head of state under the Remuneration of Former Presidents and Heads of State (And other Ancillary Matters) Decree of 1999.
Section 3, Sub Section 1 of that Decree provides that three vehicles will be provided for former heads of state and replaced every four years.
“There was, therefore, nothing untoward, illegal or tending to corruption in former head of state Buhari and presidential aspirant, as he then was receiving vehicles, to which he was statutorily entitled, from the Federal Government of Nigeria.
“President Buhari had, in keeping with his austere, spartan and frugal disposition, shunned most of his entitlements as a former head of state, but was prevailed upon by his supporters to accept the two vehicles for his personal safety in the aftermath of the dastardly attempt to assassinate him.
“It is preposterous to think that the president will allow his acclaimed reputation of honesty and incorruptibility to be tarnished by accepting a questionable monetary compensation from a discredited regime.”
