Thursday and counting still no hope of alert. still radio silence from GIS. This is becoming very frustrating by the day. thought some people here said they were given assurances of stipend payment this week? this week is almost running out still no trace of alert. TSA this TSA that, this people should just come out plain with us, federal civil servants have received their november salary so what's keeping ours? Is it not the same TSA that was used to process their salary? something is definitely not right. Anyways, let's keep the hope alive.

I want to know, what happens to people like ♍ε who left d program out of frustration of not getting paid but was still invited for the exit training. I have received a total of 5 messages (both texts and emails) inviting ♍ε for the training,,all written in different ways..Is it necessary for ♍ε to go even when i have resigned from my employer? I am already working some where else btw, so i want to know if it's necessary to get an excuse for d training (mostly cos i might use d certificate later in life) or not..please do reply ASAP someone,,b4 2moro which is d start of d training...From Lag..Thanks

Go for the training since you were invited if only you wish.The certificate will be useful to you if you think it will,sorry for the frustration but thank God you have gotten something better.

please house, I need help. my employer was not able to fill the October time sheet, and this November. but I tried to assist him and I noticed he did not accept the interns through his account. and we tried to fill the November time sheet this morning, but could not find any thing, now my question is, dies any one know how to rectify this issue, so he can fill the time sheet for us. thanks

Since he has not accepted you and your collegues ,it means that the matching of you and your colleagues are pending,help him and log in on his employer GIS platform and hit the accept button so that your pending hired will change to hired,i doubt the possibility of signing your time sheet without been accepted,most times the fault is from the employers,they won't do the right thing,most of them won't give you access to their employer's platform in other to help them out yet they want you to be coming to work,many interns are facing these problems.

This is serious,everyone should confirm if their marked time sheets have changed to zero(0) working days,if it's true then issue of fraud is about happening or is it a system error or network glitch again,nawao

"Nigerian governors will eventually reduce the federal minimum wage of N18,000 or downsize because of the current economic crunch, the chairman of the body of governors has said.
The chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Zamfara state governor, Abdulaziz Yari, said on Thursday that irrespective of public condemnations of the plan, it would not be economically feasible to retain the same workforce and pay same amount of money.Governors: We can’t pay N18, 000 minimum wage
According to him, funds allocated from the Federation Account could no longer sustain the expenses of the state as the internally generated revenue was still below par in some states.
Governors had two weeks ago declared that they could no longer cope with the N18, 000 minimum wage. The pronouncement caused a stir as Nigerians kicked against it.
The governors of Rivers and Edo rejected the plan.
Emerging from a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House Abuja, on Thursday, Mr. Yari said the governors were considering the nation’s economic situation.
“Let me make it very clear to Nigerians, governor’s forum is not the enemy of labour in any way. Rather, we have been working together. But what we are saying, (because not only Gov. Wike but also my friend in the comradeship, Adams Oshiomhole, kicked against the decision)…“What we said is that when the National Assembly enacted the law of paying N18, 000 minimum wage, then the oil was about $118 per barrel and today where we are oil is $41 per barrel.
“So, if it continues like that definitely we will find it difficult to continue. We have to sit down with the labour and see how we can review; either continue or downsizing, or see what we are going to do.
“We want to find a solution because we have to be realistic that we have so many things to touch. There is infrastructure deficit, there is need for security, there are other things like social lives of our people and nation as a state,” he said.
The governor said from the federation account, some states received N400 million, N500 million while others received N55 million.
“And there are other issues, not even the salary, their pension is over a billion. So, how can we continue borrowing and servicing the service aspect of our expenditure, or overhead. How can we do that?“We are telling the public that we are planning to sit down with the president and his team and the state governors as a team and the experts to come out with the way forward and how we are going to handle the poor state of the economy in the country.
“But what we have on ground now will not be realistic if it continues the way it is without having other sources from the economy and still relying on oil that is being sold for $118 dollar per barrel and now down to $41 and think that we can continue behaving or misbehaving the way we are doing, if there is anything like that,” he added"[/quote]

The news of winding up of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) has elicited a barrage of enquiries from partner firms, interns,and other stakeholders on the status of the Graduate Internship Scheme. The general public, particularly our partners firms and interns are to note as follows;
a) The Graduate Internship Scheme is no longer funded from the SURE-P.
b) GIS is currently being funded as part of a job creation program and appropriated in 2015 budget.
c) The 2015 budgetary provisions is enough to cover the cost of managing the scheme for the year.
I am to advise that interns remain committed to their employers with assurance that monthly stipends will continue to be paid as appropriated in the budget.

My brother,it's not that easy but there are clues you can utilize,first and foremost if you have friends participating in the program,ask them to tell the management to recruit you once the space comes up because many interns have exited the program few months ago and more are exiting the program this November to December,more so mail the customer care about your situation,they will reply you informing you on what to do,also look out for jobfair google form on this forum in order to fill it for jobfair invitation.

It's either you look out for participating firms within your L.G.A that will annex you to their intern pool if there is a space because some interns have exited or will be exiting the program in the various firms or always stay glued on this page to know when a jobfair comes up,the last jobfair was held at Imo State,Akwaibom,Cross River,FCT and one other state,i believe the next jobfair will be coming up at various states of Enugu,kano and others,you can still fill the Google form for the upcoming jobfair although the last date for registration has passed,just go through this thread,information on it will help you.

I think whatever you are going to be doing there without being confirmed first is free of charge. As long as your status hasn't changed to hire, you are not yet an intern.

Then i have to inform GIS through there Customer care and wait till when my status changes to hired;thanks.
