East Germany's government was atheistic. There is nothing to say the people themselves were not religious however, though church attendance fell between the split of East and West and unification of the two.

During separation, East German had full employment and housing. However, its economic development was curtailed due to it being behind the Iron Bloc, thereby reducing the nations that did business with it. Cuba is in a similar position, with embargoes on trading with it meaning it can import to and export from a very few countries. Obama lifted the ban on Americans trading and travelling there, and Trump reimposed it.

East Germany in fact, suffered from the same parochiality that is holding Nigeria back. We share with the former East Germany being held back by rulers who impose ideology on its people by not informing them properly. East Germany had SocioLeninist-anti-capitalist ideology, while Nigeria has ChristoIslam holding it back, and the tide of western ideology that helped pulled down the Berlin Wall would also be what pulls down the wall that blinds Nigerians.

mr budaatum,you can not explain spiritual realms using physical realms....both of them have their boundary... anyway i am gonna explain the physical realms to you since that is what you believe. even Before WWII, much of the former East Germany was not especially prosperous compared to the West and some of the most prosperous parts of pre-WWII eastern Germany were carved off into Poland or some part of Russia and ethnically cleansed of their German inhabitants.

East GERMANY population is seriously shrinking and Germany government is very much aware, that is why angel(PM)is seriously supporting refugee migration so that the new population can be dispersed to every part of Germany especially that of east Germany where the population is gradually getting into extinction , guess what ? in the next 25 years ,the world population will add about 20 billion people largely from third world country where religious is stable or increasing.... i will post a link to back it up if you want, Germany population need replacement since they are at a very low level. East Germany is feeling the heat more than the west.... Ask yourself why?

they do not brought religious to us, they only brought abrahimic religion.... truly western folks are irreligious , citing Germany as an example... you can only find religious folks in smaller cities and especially with the old men. the big city like Bavaria ,hamburg are less concern...almost every germans are catholic and you have to pay church tax so when you die the church sponsor your burial through the tax. most Germans avoid church due to tax. that is one of the reason anyway...

Another reason is those whom they see as mentor - the film producer, scientists, politicians, etc. have made technological advancement to judge the standard of human progress, so they accept that the advancement of technology is a most noble pursuit for humanity and not religion... you can see this evidence in their movies, there is so much concentration on science than reality.....

your question is wrong..... the question should have been what created us..... we are product of what and not of whom.....so far no absolute answer on the topic. but scientific explanation indicate nature created humanity. the main component of life was derived from amino acid and this amino acid can form naturally either in a lighting strike or any other energetic natural phenomenon. but how do we get from amino acid to RNA,the fundamental unit of advance life is still a mystery is science world. maybe the future will tell....so far the only complete evidence science has given us is how we evolve from proto primate to homo sapiens which itself is not compelling to some scientist and some one like me...

i strongly believe humanity was created from a process that has no beginning nor end and this process is what I called GOD.....something can not come from nothing....
