Yes, Europe underdeveloped Africa, but that is on the assumption that they should, could, or must have developed Africa! Lets not delude ourselves, the Europeans came to plunder Africa to develop their own nations. They didn't give a flying poo about us! They could only do this however, because we were not sufficiently developed to resist them when they arrived.

Our past ways could not sustain us and that is why we abandoned them. Superior powers only overcome inferior nations. Ancient Egypt is a typical example. It was so rich and (politically and scientifically) advanced that it was able to build the most advanced structures of its day, the pyramids. Yet, the politically and militarily advanced Romans came along and plundered it, as they did the once more politically advanced but militarily disorganised Greece. If Africa was as advanced as you claim, we would not have found the ideology of the Western World more appealing and abandoned our own.

Go read up about China, to see how another nation handled the superiority of the western world. Secondly, I do see sense in what you've written, but I do not accept that your view on the issue is correct. The facts just don't seem to support you. There is enough history about East Germany so one does not need to resort to guessing or making it up.

It is important to separate God from religion. All of the world religions started as a means to transcendence and identification of purpose. every human on earth has a purpose, which directly means every human has a religion. we are not robot or lower conscious animal . we are created with self awareness. But the original systems of identify this purpose which is religion became politicized, they became less about spiritual development, and more about control. The intimate relationship between created and creator was superseded by selfish interest.. ALL RELIGION STILL HAVE SOMETHING THAT HAS SURVIVE, WHICH IS CLOSER TO THE ORIGINAL SYSTEM.

External creator is an impersonal force of creation. The Creator exists beyond all dualities and therefore cannot be defined as male or female, light or dark,religious etc. the purpose of GOD is beyond my comprehension... i may not be able to answer you and i do not think you can. humanity needs religion not external creator since we do not know its attribute.

what is truth? it will take a lot of time and its late. but in a little definition. truth is the ultimate reality into the way things really are'' while the pure definition of religion is purpose. once you realize your purpose in life, that is the day you are tunning religious. so the truth and religion can not be separated. religion exist alongside truth.

so evidence of truth is by realizing your purpose.. did your religion or experience give you that oppurtunity?

The decision of communism government to indoctrinate the nation with Atheism ideology contribute majorly to the backwardness of the country...this is spiritual, i can not proof it, but that is my intelligent guess and you should not discard it as you can not proof it either. but look at it this way....the strongest political party in Germany (christian democratic union) has an ideology of establishing of what she term as Christian democracy which might not go down well with the people of the east...is this not a division?

i admit , the backwardness can also be linked to political issue but that is on the physical realms.... the economics can not even trace why the east is still lagging behind despite the huge concentration of economic development there .....take time and read about eastern part of German online. may be you may see sense in what i am typing

If it weren't for the fact that condoms and contraceptives are so dear, We too would have shrinking populations, I bet.

The problem of east Germany is not economical problem, as there is more revenue from the west to the east and there are more government work to do in the eastern part currently, hope you know Berlin is both shared by the east and the west. and the east also owns an harbor that stretch to the northern part . the migration of people from eastern part of Germany can not be compared to that of Nigeria. Nigeria case is related to lack of opportunity, the eastern part is related to what i can say? they are lot brewery industry in the east....
