Well, MCU and Marvel in general have a section of the fandom that is indeed fanatical, but one thing they don't have is a fanatical section more loyal to a director or/and company than Marvel/MCU. Simu and The director of Shang-Chi are relative unknowns to inspire fanatical fellowship, furthermore Shang-Chi was completely unknown to casual movie goers prior to it's announcement. Thus, the idea that one can brigade something they don't know is preposterous. Shang-Chi audience polls are as genuine as can be.

Brigading is not a problem unique to DC/DCEU but it's one that's very recurring. For instance, In DC, there are the Snydra subset, and then there are the WB subset... and finally, the real fans.

• A WB fan will not only hype DC but WB products in general. They are more likely to take WB side in a WB vs DC argument. One of such fans is very active in this thread.

• Then the Snydras. From what I've seen, you belong squarely in this subset. Your kind brigades anything that has Snyder on it, they unironically believe Snyder is the best thing to happen to DCEU. Ergo, it's easy to see how ZSJL could have such high RT audience score despite it being longish/boring and average.

Wrong again. Casuals have never even heard of Shang-Chi before the announcement of the movie. Better still, casuals don't know it's tied to Marvel, let alone part of MCU phase 4. Unlike ZSJL, there are no fanatical section of the fandom brigading the audience polls, thereby influencing it. Suffice to say, Shang-Chi unprecedented success is owed to none other than the director, writers, actors and the rest of the film crew that worked together to create a very compelling and unique story.

Peter Jackson directed LotR trilogy and then went on to direct the prequel, The Hobbit.

Escape Room Tournament of Champions (2021) is okay-ish. I'm a sucker for psychological horrors with claustrophobic settings, so I'm probably biased.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

To keep it simple, I was blown away by the visual spectacle, the fight choreography, the fluid complementation of flashbacks and the present without taking away from the flow of the story, the writing, the attention to details, the great cameos that linked into the MCU, the humor, Wong, the story... did I mention the fight choreography? I like how this movie made Marvel world feel more lived in.

Bottom line, the movie did enough to remind us it's a Marvel film without losing its originality. In my humble opinion, Shang-Chi is easily one of the best origin films in the MCU. It's is top-tier, please watch it.

Let's face it, some of the DCEU projects are duds waiting to happen. It's beating a dead horse at this point. The idiots running things in WB are refusing to engage with the fans, refusing to inspire the fans with a credible plan.They wont tell the fans what the DCEU is now, or speak properly about Cavill.Their project roadmap has been absolutely non-cohesive and uninteresting... And they wonder why no one cares for the universe as a whole now.... but I digress.

The Batman will do amazing, Black Adam has the Rock so it most likely wont fail, ditto Aquaman 2 due to Jason factor, Flash will most probably bomb. Wonder Woman still has some goodwill left to remove WW84 from our minds. But overall, the actual universe is a MESS, a hot piling mess. They need to seriously scrap the CW shows, too much dilution for the brand in my opinion. They have underrated projects such as Doom Patrol and Harley Quinn, but they throw CW styled garbage at customers. All these shows are going nowhere, merely a cheap garbage that doesn't build a fanbase for the movies. Rantings over.

Most of you don't know this but I'm a DC comics fan who is fed up with DCEU and WB mismanagement as a whole.
