MJBOLT:I've so much to say but little time to say them, this is why I don't like to argue, it's a back and forth that's time consuming and goes nowhere, so I'm gonna say let's agree to disagree. |
Raalsalghul:Lmao. The Oscars has always been more about popularity, wokeness, and influence and less about Merit. • Marlon Brando won best actor for The Godfather when it should have been Al Pacino. • Dicaprio winning an Oscar for The Revenant is undeserved. Should have won it earlier with The Wolf of Wallstreet. I guess it's their way of compensating him for the snubbery. • The Gladiator is a great film, but Russel Crowe performance isn't Oscar worthy, but he won it anyway, IMHO, Joaquin Phoenix is more deserving of the award, but hey, he wasn't a fan favorite, I guess. I could go on and on. There have been many instances where actors and films won Oscars based on virtue signalling coupled with popularity more than merit. |
MJBOLT:At the time of the nominations, they were. Denzel and Whittaker were a big deal in the African-American community back in the day. |
MJBOLT:Nominated twice, and in both cases lost out to a more popular actor. |
Raalsalghul:Like in most things, there are bound to be outliers. |
Raalsalghul:Academy Awards is a popularity contest. The more popular you are, the better your chances of winning, directly proportional to the quality/calibre/value of your movies and roles. |
Anything for Jackson (2020) Watched this last night and I gotta say, I was impressed. It's hard to find a good horror with original ideas nowadays. What a gem. |
IbrahimMav:You're really going all in, huh! ![]() |
IbrahimMav:Yep, but I stopped at issue 35 or thereabout. It's a good read but too effing long, I kinda lost interest and moved on to fresher things. Jonathan Hickman is legit though. He knows how to tell a story. |
Calibrator:Not Madison. She didn't do the crimes. The documented evidence will exonerate her. I don't think she will even see the inside of a court, but, she will probably face some consequences. I reckon she will be committed to a sort of state-run psych facility where she won't pose a danger to the public, cuz there is always the possibility that Gabriel will resurface again. |
Malignant (2021) Not bad, not bad at all. The film ended with a few loose ends flaring in the wind, ergo the possibility of a sequel can't be ruled out. There are so many things I loved about this film, the red erring, slow buildup to the reveal, the reveal, and what a huge plot twist it was, but the scene I enjoyed the most was the Police station massacre. Loved how Gabriel butchered the MF pigs. I loved how he served them some sweet karma fresh from the oven of justice. That's what you get for locking a "defenseless" woman in a jail filled with career criminals. |
phr0nesis:Neither was Pierce Brosnan. |
nani667:Looks a bit like young Sean Connery. |
Nickshrapnel:Pending. |
BlackManta:Armie Hammer. |
Octopusssy:Height is not a factor in modern filmmaking. Short/tall actors have portrayed taller/shorter characters in the past. For instance, Jack Reacher is a towering figure in the novels, 6"5 give or take, but Tom Cruise, a 5"7 actor, portrayed him somewhat convincingly in two movies. |

abduleez1:• The Last Duel, because, Ridley Scott • No Time to Die, because, Daniel Craig • Venom 2, because, Tom Hardy Films i'll probably never watch because I have zero interest in them • Army of Thieves, • Halloween Kills Films I'll not be in a hurry to watch • Dune, because, I'm reading the novels |
pu7pl3:Stop projecting, bro. Salivating over a female boob is as pathetic as it gets. Almost as if you have never seen one in real life. I just had a second hand embarrassment on your behalf. |
Calibrator:I hope so. |
pu7pl3:Dude go and get laid, or better yet, get a significant other (girlfriend, wife, domestic partner). Movies with gratuitous nudity will cease to have meaning for you if you're hitched. Going gaga over something as mundane as female nudity is nothing to be proud of. |
pu7pl3:I’m a big fan of all the Court of Owls stuff, and I think Zero Year is a ton of fun, but I'm lukewarm on the rest of his Batman run. |
IbrahimMav:Yeah. It is such an inventive, original, and incredible series. The characters are unique and three dimensional, they grow and change and surprise you. The art is unbelievable, the plot never stagnates and always surprises. It’s a really interesting take on vampire mythos and has some fantastic characters in Pearl and Skinner. It's leagues beyond anything else Scott Snyder has done. Only The Severed comes close. IbrahimMav:Let's see... I haven't read them in a while but I think the right order is... • American Vampire (issues 1-34) • American Vampire: Second Cycle (1-11) • American Vampire 1976 (1-10) In between the first American Vampire and Second Cycle, there are three spinoff issues namely, Survival of the Fittest, Lord of Nightmares, and Long Road to Hell. There are couple of anthology issues too. IbrahimMav:It's a sequel. It's the last volume you read. |
Nickshrapnel:I've read the comics, played the games, I've zero interest in watching this. |
AnfieldFan:Alright try this: • Input this address in your URL box... https://kingauthor.net/ • Attach the name of author... https://kingauthor.net/books/DeanKoontz/ • Separate the name of the author with %20... https://kingauthor.net/books/Dean%20Koontz/ That's all.✌ |
IbrahimMav:Getcomics.info |
AnfieldFan:Nowhere in particular. I use a Google search directory to facilitate the process. http://palined.com/search/ |
Kaycee7:Save, upload, edit, look up words, font size, audio, adjustments, night reading mode, pretty much everything to adjust to your needs of reading is on that app. I freaking love it! |
abduleez1:Just install Moonreader, it's the best android reader app at the moment. |
chuksp09: abduleez1:You're not kidding. The books are 14 in total! Never mind 6 months, I won't be able to finish these in 2 years!

Ishilove:Lores and world building galore. |

, there's no way those guys were more popular than him unless you can prove it.
