I respectfully disagree. The only thing stopping me from upgrading to Samsung Galaxy S10 is money. If I have the money, I would snag one in a heartbeat. When I want to buy something, I consider longevity before anything else. A chinese mid-ranger can't give the consumer that kind of mileage. They are cheap for a reason.

Now we're talking, people's choice are simply based on spending strength and for most it's just value for money.
No one is arguing with the fact that Samsung is one of the best hardwares in the android world, but even their softwares are buggy, then those hardwares come at a price, this is a given.
The question however is, do we make use of all the features put in? Can we do without them? Are there alternatives to these and can it be gotten cheaper? If we put all parameters together then we begin to understand where we're coming from and going to.....
Remember the quest is value for buck not spending what you don't have.....

Isn't it better to spend your money on a device that will last you for years than on a device that will develop a hardware issue within the year or two?

I've been using Samsung Galaxy S8+ since 2017, and the phone still outperforms most chinese mid-range brands flooding our market nowadays. Meanwhile my brother has gone through 3 different chinese brands within the same period. He's currently using the Xiaomi brand. I've told him it will end in premium tears.

It will work. Resetting your computer is basically reinstalling Windows. The only problem is during and after reinstallation, you might end up losing all your personal files and apps, which is why it's essential that your personals are backed up.

Get an external hard drive, plug it in, Windows will actually ask you if you want to use it as a backup. Tell it that you do. If you don't get this prompt, you can just go to the Start Menu, type "backup" in the search box, and hit Backup and Restore.

From there, click the "Set Up Backup" button. Pick the external drive you plugged in and hit Next. Windows' default settings are probably fine, so you can just hit Next. On the last screen, hit "Save Settings and Run Backup". Windows will make its first backup of your drive, during which you don't want to turn off your computer.
