Thank God these Blackfools people showed themselves with another team. It ensured we didn't under rate them

I'll have the bleeding last word if you both will be playing honorable. Usually the second mouse gets the cheese but I guess this mouse trap is a dual spring stainless steel super deluxe XLR model.

Lol. From frying pan to fire. We all die, do we not? Dying is never punishment but what comes after, if anything.

Mazaje. You have valid questions but I can assure you no one can answer you satisfactorily, at least not in the fashion you want.

He is an embodiment of everything evil and has been blamed for all that goes wrong in the world. Only now is the global financial crises taking away some of that burden of blame. There you go

Seeing films like Obsessed, maybe we should have a hall of shame too. This democracy sef. See how it caused District 9 points and gave it to one yeye film I won't mention

I don't want it to drag. When we're done with Salt, I'll vote properly but for now, I'm going with PDP.

Shitznik! I vote Iyo (Salt). I've not seen it but I want it to be over and done with.
TV/Movies › Re: Hollywood directors: Rate or hate? What's your Take? by vescucci(op): 9:30am On Aug 19, 2010
Yeah, The Bourne series were not as good as only the first book. In any case, they were largely different.

@cara. It can't it then. You can't possibly be waiting for that movie. I've indeed seen the first Tron but didn't remember what it was called. Seeing as I was non-existent in '82, I didn't share go their enthusiasm for digitalisation when I saw it. Glad to hear about Tin Tin. I'm pessimistic about The Matarese Circle but then, they've got the most important actors

I skipped through one of his books years back and it struck me as some kind of erotica. I was a good boy back then and never read it. I haven't had another opportunity since.

TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 9:41pm On Aug 18, 2010
@Eldee. Public acclaim is a faulty representation of which film is better than which. I think TDK appeals to EVERYONE while Inception does not. There's no concrete correlation between what the masses like and what's the best. While I think TDK is the better film (only slightly) you cannot deny Inception's freshness and originality. Its major asset is its major undoing. . . . . . Its gargantuan head scratching index.

@Obinna. About freaking time another Chronicles of Narnia film came out. What's Tron Legacy about sef? I faintly recall iice waiting for it. Does it have anything to do with Thor?

@Ijaw girl. Resident Evil has nothing to do with vampires na.

Thank you for making me not do something terrible, Netotse. Whether Hoodlum was by mistake or intentional is immaterial cuz both are blasphemous. Sheldon isn't bad cuz he just writes his shiznik without much research and it manages to come together nicely.

Funny thing about Underworld. I only saw bits of the second one and that is all. It seems there's a renaissance of the fantasy genre in hollywood come the next few years.

Cara, what's up with the Tin Tin movies. I've waiting a long time o. I hope they've not cancelled The Matarese Circle project.
TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 5:14pm On Aug 18, 2010
I feel your pain Rave. I'm thinking of doing something crafty with this Inception movie. Meanwhile, we ought to have a hall of fame where movies that rate over 90% should be, eh, JK.

@JeSoul. Lol at the bit about technical complexities and complex technicalities. I have a feeling like the film was made to meet a deadline. With 3 to 6 months, it coulda been fine tuned such that folks tearing their hair out will be tipping their wine glasses instead. Truth be told, Inception is a bit elitist. It can make you feel really dumb but since most will watch it 9 times, who will admit that but me.

Oya. Next movie.

Christianity Etc › Re: Davinci Code by vescucci(m): 12:20pm On Aug 18, 2010
It's fiction mixed with some truths and half truths. It's the half truths you have to be careful with. Everybody has an opinion and so does Dan Brown. Almost nothing is unanimously agreed upon in the world of theology/Christian history
TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 9:30am On Aug 18, 2010
@JK, as I said before, ANYONE'S reality is EVERYONE'S reality. It is impossible for one person's reality and dream to intersect. So when ANYONE'S totem satisfies him, it satisfies us, the audience. Get it? But your theory of the whole thing being a dream is interesting and it makes everything relative. But I'd have to wonder what the purpose of the dream is.

The way Cobbs met his kids is a troublesome point. You didn't mention the ring thing again? Anyways, I'm beginning to think that some of those flashbacks are not entirely his. Great review.

I believe all the votes are in. Let's get a verdict and go on to the next one.

Na everybody get disorder. Me sef get eating disorder. Great review. Everybody is giving the thing 90%. Awesome. I'm waiting for JK's review that's why mine wasn't long. I have a sneak peak of what he's gonna say and I want it to hold a bigger punch. Afterwards let's wrap things up.

@JK. Lol. When you're done with Goodluck, I have a contract waiting for you.

@V3. There can be only one V.

INCEPTION

The movie title on its own wins some points with me. Say it again. INCEPTION. INCEPTION. Oooh, reminds me of Mufassa. The cast like V for villain, V3 said is impeccable but I wasn't entirely satisfied with Watanabe's performance. Asides from other things, I wish he was more of the genteel Asian than the westerner he was. The performances were all above average and none stands out in contrast with any other.

I'm sure I'll be in the minority by saying that the film could've been much better if it had taken a bit longer to complete. The plot is the best thing about the film and even though you know what the plan is from the onset, you still have to pay attention or you won't know whether you're in someone's REM world or in real life. In order not to say everything and leave something for others to say, I rate it 90%. I almost never watch a film twice. Inception is an exception, pun intended.

If by next year someone decides to make a series out of the Inception idea, I'll accept adoration for my prophetic attributes then. You're free to start now if you like. Lol.
