Nice satire. Very funny at atimes. Only I don't like being sold the same joke twice. Asides this, you story makes for a very relaxing interlude

Spikyn! Which kin timing be this?
TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 7:51am On Mar 09, 2010
Lucky Number Slevin was one of the few movies that delivered exactly what the trailer promised. All the characters were perfect. Even Danny Aiello. Ben Kingsley is, what's the word, amenable. He has the face that can become anything, any race. I'm always partial to Bruce Willis. Josh Hartnett was great. I wish I had the his condition if it was true what he said and not that he was just a careful planner. Morgan Freeman doesn't even have to show his face to blow you away. The devil took Syl Stallone's voice and added it to Freeman's. Only price are those warts. Lucy came good and I've always thought she was a sweetheart. I thought she'd turn out to be an assassin in the movie but Mr. Dekelevra turned to be the assassin. Good movie all around. Beautiful ending. Never a dull moment. Dunno who the deuce McGuigan is but I'd have guessed Tarantino/Ritchie made the movie. 88%.

Have we done Atonement?

As usual, the Academy spits baloney spiced with politicking sauce.

I'll review later jare. The Oscars have spoilt my mood
TV/Movies › Re: The Oscars, 2010 Live Coverage And Results by vescucci(m): 1:12pm On Mar 08, 2010
I am flabberdisgusted and royally distraught. This year's Oscars is even worse than last year's. At least a woman has won best director. If Mr. Waltz didn't win there would have been a world wide revolt.

What the pretzel are you Bret? A virus? I remember that raunchy statement from this thread's infancy.

Yeah, why the hell not?

This reminds me of that Nolan project we talked about before. The one with Leo and Watanabe, your first love whom you've cheated on with that English bulldog

Oh man, I feel like a sumbitch for opening my big mouth but it can't hurt if I disclose that she's find just to ease your fears. I wish people worried about me like this, lol.

I was reading this thread a little more. It's damn sad how someone will call some of the best books on earth boring. I think when you have no capacity to enjoy such books you have no business soiling them or defaming their memories. I know the 'to each his own' brigade will fall out now and do a parade but dammit this is pushing it. How can a sane person call 1984, Les Miserables, Fools Die, The Man Died etc boring. I've not read The Famished Road but someone I love loves it and The Booker prize is not an Oscar. Books that win are automatically great reads. Shit, I think I've bursted a vein.

A fine day. I believe that's the title. Strangely, all I remember is a drive on a long and windy road and my utter distaste for the book. I rarely abandon books midway but this one set a record.

Aww sod this. I'll review any bleeding films y'all can agree upon.

Prepare for a bout of nostalgia. Police Assassin. Magic Crystal. Revenge Of The Ninja. Above The Law. Mortal Kombat. American Ninja. Operation Condor. Cynthia Rottweiler, sorry Rothrock.

These were the vile things I had to like to feel among with my peers. I was alone in my lunacy of oldies. Still am I guess.

JK. I am flummoxed about this Lucky Number Slevin thing o! Jeez. Let's do Sherlock Holmes then if we've not done it before.

Thelma makes a lousy Glenn Close impersonation. Doyin, old boy, go and tell your wife everything before later comes and you start thinking 'if only I'd told my wife everything'

Btw I don repent. Now I see what too much actifed can do to you

No you're not. The dead don't talk! Laugh, well, I've seen a few stiffs laugh out when they hear Steve Harvey make a fool of himself

Avatar sucks. Yeah! This beats liposuction, rhinoplasty, face lifts and boob jobs altogether to get self esteem

I've found that you don't treat your votes as votes JK. Like now, as far as you're concerned there is only one vote. What's the deal with that? Anti-nepotism?

It is possible that when I descend from my high, I'll be ashamed of myself, but this isn't likely.

Hehe. Her hands are full abi? Hope they remain so till the whole fracas abates or else you'd get spittle flying out of your Tv and into your face and your dinner.
TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 2:24pm On Mar 03, 2010
Lol. You sure you wanna play strong shoulder? Nothing happened, just caught a bug from a swamp that's mimicking and repopulating my brain cells. You like? Or don't like? Soon there will be no more trace of Vesc as you know it. Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!

TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 2:10pm On Mar 03, 2010
Are you serious? Have you seen Lucky Number Slevin? It's giving the stoic JK an or.ga.sm.ic experience. Hmmn. That makes him the third person since yesterday. Food for thought.

What the deuce?! Vaginas aren't censored. I think we have a back door here. I'm off to the Adult section. Erh maybe not. That place gives me the jeepers

In the holy world of sex, Bleep, orgasm, boobs, vaginas and joysticks, hard drive will definitely sound vulgar
TV/Movies › Re: The Oscars, 2010 : Nominees Announced by vescucci(m): 1:21pm On Mar 03, 2010
I've seen about five and I'm familiar with the stories of the rest. I'm not gonna say anything again till after sunday jare.

I almost forgot about District 9 o. I was rooting for IB where District 9 dey. I hope District 9 wins but I'm a little concerned about the fallout of that. It would seem the Academy were outrightly endorsing the defaming of Nigeria and the Nigerian spirit. And back home Dora Akunyili will probably scream so loudly that our TV sets will short circuit. I love my TV.
