Can i buy you a drink ? I must commend your alacrity for coming on here to blast into me some senses, Kudos bra. There are some applications that are almost not but approved (quote me). DS-160 form is a form of the person attending interview now the person filling it. He may have appeared too good to be true, for obvious reasons, maybe ! 95% first time applicants are rejected , it is a fact, but dont think you did anything differently , it was all in the books. but i am so happy for ur words, thanks. Continue to be a good man Hmebaze: Oga, Really i think whoever said the best place to hide knowledge from a black man is in BOOKS might not be far from the truth Sorry i started this way. First you said you talked about your Client. What are you into if i may ask? If you are a travel agent and help people Fill their DS 160 and all other travel document then you are the problem that some of these guys have.. It has been said severally that the forms would best be filled by the applicant themselves so they can defend what is in there.. You do not know the reason why he was denied, fromwhat you wrote about him its surprising as to why he was denied but then like SEYEWEST pointed out, who knows what he did 10 year ago when he went there? again this might be preposterous. i would tell you what. The first time i applied for US Visa i was rejected, but guess what i had to ask myself why i was rejected and i realise that i made some errors with my date of arrival and departure date as it does not really tally with the date program i was going for. I did not get angry with the System, after all na me wan go EMERIKA. Instead i came back and that was when i discovered this forum and since then i read it everyday like its naija new, Anyway i applied the next year, got the visa cos i learnt alot from the guys here. LAdy G, Chloe, Omobendel, SEYEWEST and a whole lot of Gurus that i no longer see their posts . Now i got the visa stresslessly, after READING this forum and learning. You said that you dont know why the man would be denied but you fail to understand that its their country and they have the right to Deny him. If you are a Travel agent, thats fine and well i pray God blesses your hustle, You might also want to learn more here and all other online sites so as to proffer better solutions to your CLIENTS so as no to come here to lash out on a system that has done nothing to you... Aslo you could read and ask questions in Quora.com, there are lots of answers there and you would learn from them. complaining with all these negative energy would not help you. People get VISA everyday and travel to USA everyday. do the right things and make sure you application or that of you CLIENTS are in other and they would get their VISAs. go to Embassy and see the stupid answers we NIGERIANS give the VO when asked why they are going to USA. even You listening would know that they dont deserve to to there cos them NO GO COME BACK AGAIN. Some have valid reasons but they cant defend their DS 160 cos no be them FILL am |

BTW, since you visited the US embassy today did you get the visa? |

No issue at all. look up my Moniker, it is only good news we share here and everywhere, .. This one touch me gan! No issue, i am not at war with you, but we need to sit up in this country and ask some relevant questions. He was probably answered like they were waiting for him, DS-160 at work. seyewest: No one is fighting you and as far as I know this thread has been around for more than 5 years, people come and go but the knowledge will remain, hopeful someone learn from it. it's not by force you must visit U.S no be do or die and if you know the true meaning of slavery you won't compare it with denial at the embassy. Good luck with him getting the visa, it add nothing to my life. This is a free forum but I tried to remove sentiment from whatever I post here. |

Maybe i didn't see it your way, Rejection doesn't make anyone happy. Going through the process of applying again, waiting for you turn to be interviewed , i don't think make anyone happy. The word "slavery" was used by the next man who brought the "big Man". i was touched cause no reason in the entire world does he deserve rejection, my pain! I gave him some words of encouragement though, graduation is by September 2019, and he applied now, they may just want to make a little more money , allow some time and maybe reapply by July. He Left for UK as i type just to cool off, He has 2 houses in Atlanta oooo, .... Very very funny rejection, never heard of this before. Beautyaddy: SMH!...I now see that with all that you wrote up there you have chose to lack understanding of my post. |

I use to wonder why some of you think you know so much! How about someone with over 4 rejections? He/she also committed felony before they forgave him/her and gave them VISA? 65% of Approvals have been to the consulate at least Once! Only 5% gets their Visa The very first time of application. it is slavery when you die to get to another man's land, it is slavery of the highest form. when this man reapplies and gets his Visa i will remind you. People always sounding like some expert, when all they know is nothing. Beautyaddy: Lol!...Some people with their misuse of words.
How is refusing one visa slavery
We are all aware that granting a visa to any country is not a right but a privilege.
And about the man having all those countries he visited in the past...how were you able to know that and maybe there might have been some things he might have done in the past that it's only the visa officers who have such information at hand.
Like I've said and will continue to say that with every visa rejections or approvals we read about or observe there is always two sides to every reason or cause. |

I will be sincere to you bra... VOs "often" give rejections on Impulse , straight up sentiments!!! Some rejections are not even worth a penny, Just mere perception. Do you know what it takes to fill this forms and how much it cost for VISA? Sometimes the VO wont even ask you any question concerning anything about the form you filled and just go abstract... keeps your mind guessing. A guy was given a white paper, he said thank you and was heading for the door when the VO ordered him back and she said she didn't see the shengen rejection at the end of the passport, and that was it , Rejected !!! seyewest: I'm sorry but you sound like you're new to this and surprised.... Visa is not anyone right, it's a privilege... that man you're worried about may have probably done something you may not even be aware of. ( I said may) |

Something Happened today,.... 65 years old Medical Doctor.. doing well, has a hospital 2 kids doing medicine in the US... one graduated and he sent for his father to come for graduation, Dad has been almost everywhere around the world ... China, Europe, ASIA but USA like 10yrs ago, he had no reason to be there. At the interview today he was rejected, Man got angry and shouted at the VO, "why are you rejecting me" I have all documents but you are not even checking for any he said! VO(SHE) stood up from her chair and removed the mic, left the man standing there, i can bet you he almost felt like ...... Very very unfair, the other man said, "isnt this slavery" You have everything but you still shed tears to give yourself some form of happiness. I was not there with him, didnt see it happen, but the way he explained it, even God will be unhappy! |

Study permit comes with your Visa. i don't know which one you are referring to, but if you meant paying before Visa is issued, it depends on the institution, I prefer the ones that would only ask for application or acceptance fee... Paying tuition doesn't mean you will get Visa, but may also be of essence. Johnsonkelvin: you're in support of paying tuition (half or full) before study permit applications right? |

Go back to your DS-160 page, retrieve your information with the Confirmation code. Then click on new application, from there you can go back to the Visa Type and correct it. (very Valid) it will generate a new confirmation code, Update this code on your traveldocs in your application where you schedule appointment ! missingribs: Have tried but there is no column for visa class |

That is why you need to order your GCMNOTES, Those ticking are generic. I know someone who got a refusal on purpose of Visit, when he ordered GCMNOTES, it was discovered that the VO only wanted a particular document that wasn't involved in the application, He included it and waaala!!! GCMNOTES is the Key. Uzee24: Good Day House,
There seem to be a new trend of refusal reasons this days. Not that it is entirely new, but it is fast becoming a reoccuring ground for refusal.
That is refusal ground on ''Personal assest and Finacial status''.
What I really dont understand is what else they want or what they really require of the applicant based on the stated reason. Despite the fact that applicants go ahead to present evidence like documents of landed properties either belonging to them or their parents, VOs still go ahead to tick personal assest.
Same goes for the financial status too. With evidence of income and proof of being able to foot the bills in Canada, they still go ahead to tick this.
What really do they want from applicants as regards this reason or is it just part of the generic response? |

Benefits of the Seminar? Is there a certificate for it? Does it upgrade your CV in anyway? Does this travel history reflect on your present passport or it has been so many years ago? They wont even look at your invitation letter, you have to explain what is in it to the VO. What is the nature of your jOb? How much do you earn? The balance in your account presently doesn't matter! Are you married with kids? MusaIbrahim1: some one evaluate me... am going for B1 visa interview soon
I got a diversity scholarship by a top US IT firm to attend a fully funded seminar 6days by them(they aare paying for travel and accommodation, its stated on the invitation letter)
I have been to Australia, South Africa, Kenya and a transit through Ethiopia... I have never overstayed my visa and I have no plan to
I currently have less than 100k in my account and I make small money in a month...
just wondering what my chances are and if my account will affect the VO decision |

To stand a better chance of Canadian Visa, Instead of a PGD, why not an MSC?" Thats the point , and i believe you will be in a better position to stand a chance. The truth is that it is a Crime to Reject someone a Visa when they have passed all conditions for a Visa. Phantomcole: Hello vibrant99
austacus made reference to you in the quote below, I want to understand him and things better
“”I am not a guru” and this is my contribution
Why do Nigerians keep falling into the trap of diploma? Why? Isn't it obvious they don't value the diploma from Nigerians? With the influx of refusal rates on the diploma, why do we keep falling into this trap? Ever since Last year, I haven't seen any diploma visa approval (please someone should come here and prove me wrong).
This is one of the things ”@vibrant99” have been saying... ”Nigeria doesn't like hearing the truth”.”
My question is, is having/applying with a diploma or applying for a diploma courses in Canda? In addition, is post graduate diploma also under this
I will appreciate you can can explain better Thanks a lot. |

credibility cannot out weight Home ties, What you decide to reveal about yourself is your decision, not a crime. it is when you are not something and you say you are, or try to exaggerate your situation, which may favor you, this also fall within all things about the application.. Travel history Ties Educational qualification Work it is possible you add or remove , but home ties? How do you exaggerate it? KaptainAfrika: An agent told you to do something, that you know is a lie, you still go ahead and do it; and somehow coming clean will remedy the situation. "YOUR CREDIBILITY IS AT STAKE" was what I overheard at the US Embassy in Abuja. The only currency you have in this US Interview, is not your home ties but your CREDIBILITY. |

The bottom line is I have my reasons.. Are you the Canadian government?, has the government closed their borders or stopped taking in people... if u want to open your new thread selling other countries pls do and stop making people feel uncomfortable. The number of application from Nigerian treated by Canada now has gotten to the highest number ever imagined.
1. Apply from Nigeria 2. if you dont have a very good grade (3.8/5) consider another country like Australia,Germany etc. 3 When you are rejected , order your GCMNOTE immediately. 4 Don't gather fake documents to apply to Canada, You will get a ban. 5 Be sure what your agent is submitting for you.
This re just some clue to kee you on the safe side , even if you are rejected , it doesn't dent your future prospects.
Canada, Canada , Canada!!!
That is almost like a Trend in Nigeria now, lets be careful. |

I really wish him a positive outcome of the interview. Don't be surprise to know that he will get the visa , some severe cases like this could just get the sympathy of the VO, mostly if it is Female VO, she could give him so as not to appear getting him his way in the future. But a free Conference? That's why i have the biggest fear. I have a doctor friend on LINKEDIN right now, He was chosen for a boot-camp organized by MIT and Havard, slated for June, it is worth 8000USD. You can imagine. OmoBendel24: I believe it’s this same conference the OP intends attending. It’s a huge and big one! He’s the one who needs to fit the bill.... Free Conference?
"raised eyebrows"...
That means it is just a conference that doesnt make selections or any form of criterion.
Thats not very encouraging, but you have to attend your interview to know the outcome.
No travel history? Skeptical!
and sincerely , was it an agent that arranged this conference for you?

Quite frankly , This thread is an open thread, even the VOs will come here once in a while. I remember that craze about getting a US visa to trek to Canada, because Canada is stiffer and more difficult to enter... Some people made it, to Canada through the US, and Canada is furious with the US, thereby making it more difficult for people who just want to go to the US and return back to their lovely country, Nigeria. Sometimes we have to slow down and ask ourselves this questions? Why am i desperate to leave Nigeria? I know someone who got so rejected that he found his destiny in the process, even US dey beg am now, he doesn't wanna go again. Just a general observation for those that will come for me ! TheCongo2: OtunOba has spent ages making assumptions on people on this thread and harassing them that they are planning to enter the US with the intention of going to Canada.
But today he is the one who had overstayed his visa. He is even embarrassed to make any further comments on this thread.
Life can be funny sometimes... |

I may be wrong,... But i think your refusal bothers on Travel History more, You are the principal here in the application, am sure you are the sponsor too. Your replies will hold more water than your wife's. On this note i will advise that you people travel to another country for now, quit the US. Try Europe, anywhere in Europe or UK. I won't Advise Canada now, because you will have to write a refusal of US in your application, better still try South Africa. The whole idea is to travel, build some form of travel because as i can imagine, you guys are capable of your trip to the US, use the funds somewhere else this time. icanfixitmyself: ...the last question that was asked is "have you traveled out of Nigeria before" and I said no but told her my wife had traveled once (...now allowed my wife to give details of her journey) after which she refused us |

Most of the time , I will advise you to apply Immediately, if your case is genuine and you felt you got a harsh hearing. Nothing is as it seems, a little caution here and there, and everyone will be fine. The main thing is to be genuine with your situational responses, do some rehearsals at home before heading to the embassy. You will get the visa. icanfixitmyself: Thanks and blessed morning to you @vibrant99. Your response is really insightful & encouraging... The VO1 asked me what I do =I work with xyx as.... , turned to my wife ask her same thing & wife also answered... In short she(VO1) conducted the interview for more 2mins b4 d change over... My questions are: HOW SOON CAN WE REAPPLY AND DOES IT MATTER IF WIFE TAKES LEADING ROLE? She seems to be well composed than I was. God bless reachly |
