It has been said severally that the forms would best be filled by the applicant themselves so they can defend what is in there.. You do not know the reason why he was denied, fromwhat you wrote about him its surprising as to why he was denied but then like SEYEWEST pointed out, who knows what he did 10 year ago when he went there? again this might be preposterous. i would tell you what. The first time i applied for US Visa i was rejected, but guess what i had to ask myself why i was rejected and i realise that i made some errors with my date of arrival and departure date as it does not really tally with the date program i was going for. I did not get angry with the System, after all na me wan go EMERIKA. Instead i came back and that was when i discovered this forum and since then i read it everyday like its naija new, Anyway i applied the next year, got the visa cos i learnt alot from the guys here. LAdy G, Chloe, Omobendel, SEYEWEST and a whole lot of Gurus that i no longer see their posts . Now i got the visa stresslessly, after READING this forum and learning. You said that you dont know why the man would be denied but you fail to understand that its their country and they have the right to Deny him. If you are a Travel agent, thats fine and well i pray God blesses your hustle, You might also want to learn more here and all other online sites so as to proffer better solutions to your CLIENTS so as no to come here to lash out on a system that has done nothing to you... Aslo you could read and ask questions in Quora.com, there are lots of answers there and you would learn from them. complaining with all these negative energy would not help you. People get VISA everyday and travel to USA everyday. do the right things and make sure you application or that of you CLIENTS are in other and they would get their VISAs. go to Embassy and see the stupid answers we NIGERIANS give the VO when asked why they are going to USA. even You listening would know that they dont deserve to to there cos them NO GO COME BACK AGAIN. Some have valid reasons but they cant defend their DS 160 cos no be them FILL am

No one is fighting you and as far as I know this thread has been around for more than 5 years, people come and go but the knowledge will remain, hopeful someone learn from it.
it's not by force you must visit U.S no be do or die and if you know the true meaning of slavery you won't compare it with denial at the embassy.
Good luck with him getting the visa, it add nothing to my life. This is a free forum but I tried to remove sentiment from whatever I post here.

How is refusing one visa slavery

We are all aware that granting a visa to any country is not a right but a privilege.

And about the man having all those countries he visited in the past...how were you able to know that and maybe there might have been some things he might have done in the past that it's only the visa officers who have such information at hand.

Like I've said and will continue to say that with every visa rejections or approvals we read about or observe there is always two sides to every reason or cause.

There seem to be a new trend of refusal reasons this days. Not that it is entirely new, but it is fast becoming a reoccuring ground for refusal.

That is refusal ground on ''Personal assest and Finacial status''.

What I really dont understand is what else they want or what they really require of the applicant based on the stated reason. Despite the fact that applicants go ahead to present evidence like documents of landed properties either belonging to them or their parents, VOs still go ahead to tick personal assest.

Same goes for the financial status too. With evidence of income and proof of being able to foot the bills in Canada, they still go ahead to tick this.

What really do they want from applicants as regards this reason or is it just part of the generic response?

I got a diversity scholarship by a top US IT firm to attend a fully funded seminar 6days by them(they aare paying for travel and accommodation, its stated on the invitation letter)

I have been to Australia, South Africa, Kenya and a transit through Ethiopia... I have never overstayed my visa and I have no plan to

I currently have less than 100k in my account and I make small money in a month...


just wondering what my chances are and if my account will affect the VO decision

Why do Nigerians keep falling into the trap of diploma? Why?
Isn't it obvious they don't value the diploma from Nigerians?
With the influx of refusal rates on the diploma, why do we keep falling into this trap?

Bro, no offence but the way u say stuffs sometimes I wonder if you are a 10year old with the privilege of having a smart phone..there are ways you can encourage people to seek other places not telling them like it's a taboo to keep seeking only canada...besides u don't even know if people have tried those places and it didn't work, or people try canada cos they have relations there..me for one have my reasons for canada and not anywhere else..if it doesn't work, shuu I remain in my land of Birth. The bottom line is I have my reasons.. Many thanks bro. My company is sending me on a conference to Houston, TX. Conference is about naval engineering and oil and gas too.

Now I'd be there for a week and they given me all docs including letter of leave approval and letter of introduction (confirming I work for the company) I also have my payslips too. And hotel reservation confirmation. (just making sure I don't make mistakes)

Nature of my company : We build software solutions for oil and gas companies, Telecom's, and banks.
I have my bank statements and letter confirming payment of perdiem ,flight, cash to spend in Houston(this letter is from my company) .

You think I'd be fine sir?

Please I filled DS 160 for my mom B2 visa and I never came across travel history.....

OtunOba has spent ages making assumptions on people on this thread and harassing them that they are planning to enter the US with the intention of going to Canada.

But today he is the one who had overstayed his visa. He is even embarrassed to make any further comments on this thread.

I already made payment and scheduled the appointment but I have been trying to fill the ds 160 form all day... I haven't been able to access the form. Pls does anyone have an idea.
On the appointment page there is a Ds 160 confirmation number... I don't know if I am on the right track.

The VO1 asked me what I do =I work with xyx as.... , turned to my wife ask her same thing & wife also answered... In short she(VO1) conducted the interview for more 2mins b4 d change over...
My questions are: HOW SOON CAN WE REAPPLY AND DOES IT MATTER IF WIFE TAKES LEADING ROLE? She seems to be well composed than I was.
