Hello House, pls can anyone help. I've read through this thread from Part 1 - not word for word o - i cant find any information on how to pay the $150 study permit fee. Can one use the naira mastercard?

The truth is that, If you submitted all you just said and wrote because you want to Travel to Canada?

1. It Is Just Too much of a document !

2. Be precise in your analysis, Just like what you wrote here about yourself and application is contradicting!

3. When you finally calm down to Reapply, don't add or remove anything from what you said you applied with.

You want to travel doesn't mean you have to Bring all sorts of wealth that you posses as a Tie back home, allow them make some suggestions too with the little you provided.

Job Description

I’m a Network Engineer with Salary less than 500k and I’ve been working since 2012. I’m Business Oriented but have passion to study more. Could have done my Msc. here but distraction and calls will be too much. So my Business is on auto-pilot. Can be managed by my husband which I included in my application.

Reason for Refusal: 1. Purpose of Visit. VO wasn’t sure I will return. I’m married with 2 kids but traveling alone while husband and kids will stay here

2. Personal assets and Financial Status. I beg to disagree on this but willing to learn from everyone here.

I must say I’m not soo good keeping money in the bank. I invest every little penny I have but I was able to fix 5m and annual Rent from Tenants(4m) were what I used as POF. I have requested for gcms note though but before then what could be wrong with my application?
Are they expecting the money to be in the bank for a certain period of time? School resume in april, thinking I can reapply on time but waiting for gcms note before I will reapply. I’ve also been denied visiting visa with family 2yrs ago. Purpose of Visit that we won’t return back to Nigeria. I later got to know it was the period so many families who got US Visa were crossing to Canada declaring asylum. So that application was wrongly timed

You don't have Visa, You are here advising people, is it on the process or on the Assurance?

You Applied for visa like every other person here, You advise people that are also applicant?

I just saw where someone whose Visa is pending explaining to another person whose Visa is pending on how to fast track the whole thing!

The truth is , Canada wont Reject you application if you are very sincere, 85% of Nigerians applying are not sincere with their applications.

Apply as you are, This people work with Nigerians as their consultants, Keep submitting lies and expecting Visa.

A Little Insight on FUNDS in your account when applying for Visa...

How would you be presenting an account that has 14 Million Balance, and have 3 Credits and 10 debits in 4-6 Months?

This is the target in your SOA,..

Debits...
Credits...

Amount has less effect as so many people tend to teach this idea of dumping cash in an account to be used .


It is very easy to give someone who has 1000Credits, 1200 Debits with a balance of 200k a Visa (Most times if you are the owner of the account).
Because a 200k Balance with such debit and credit wont be less than 3Million Naira for about 4-6 Months of Usage. (i stand Corrected).

My point is, when you are keen about your balance, be worried about the credit and debits too.

It can be 3 Months even, They want to see Money ... Thats all,

Either Passing through , Have passed through or will always pass through...

Dont forget to have some balance sitting , doesn't have to be so much bra.

what is an SOP to start with?
If people wrote 1 page of SOP and got VISA , why would anyone write a 3 page of SOP?
SOP means statement of purpose !
It has to do with why you want this visa, many people really dont know, they go saying all sort of frivolities and say the reason they want the VISA in just one LINE, but complete nonsense in 100 Lines.

You that have something to say, keep saying it, advise people to say plenty things , na you go read am for the Consular.

N.B___ Someone once sent me an SOP to review, it was 4 pages, ... I only read the first page, it was complete nonsense.

-My mother was sick but she is better now
-My sister and my brother was schooling , now they stopped schooling so that i can travel because i am brilliant!

I once did a one page SOP, it took just 12days to get an Approval, it is not the long lines, it is the capturing, You need to capture who is reading.

It isnt written on the canadian website that SOP should be so number of pages, please be guided. @johnsonsegxy Ur 3 page SOP isnt much at all.. So far you can convince the VO in ur SOP that you are a genuine student that will come back to ur home country then u are good to go.. Peace

The Fact remains that you applied to a UNIVERSITY that may have an open-end application time (meaning that it is ok to apply to the school at any time and get an application review), 85% of university in Canada have a time application opens and when it closes afterwards review and admission status will be sent out......

Just very few and common institution runs annually, and the kind of program you may be applying for also determines, some courses have all year round intake, ... You are a passenger in this car, there is a driver.

This is a mis-information my brother, a case in point I got my admission letter late November last year for September 2019. Admission letter is based on when you applied for the program the earlier you apply the better your chance of getting admitted and also gettimg ur letter . Most September applicant start there application October of the previous years

It is rather too early for Canadian Universities to send admission letters to sept 2019 intakes , Maybe he was on a waiting list.
Most of them would send notifications by 2nd week of febuary

I hardly see anyone recommending University of Waterloo, Two of my friends are presently on FULL scholarship in that institution, and they dont even have 1st class.

Hi nairalanders, I am a silent reader. I got to know about this group 6weeks ago. I got approval for student visa this morning and want to share my story.
I graduated bachelors in technology in Aerospace engineering india on that 31th of may 2018. I graduated with first class with gpa of 9.4/10 (or 4.7/5 Nigerian equivalent). I got admission to do my master in aerospace engineering for fall 2018 at concordia university. I applied for my first Canadian visa with 6 weeks left on my indian student visa. (At that time the processing time in india have climbed to 7weeks). After 5 weeks I withdraw my application in order not to overstay my visa which will be a very bad thing for me and came back to nigeria. I defferd my admission to winter 2019 and applied for study permit in Nigeria paper route on Sep 17 ,2018. I started reading nairaland and boy O' boy i got freaking scared. After 5 weeks i got tired of all this and applied for fall 2019 intake at the best aerospace institute in france . This morning I got approval. Sidenote: I am not religious and the constant reliance on a supreme being to help your visa chances in this group got me a bit irritated. But I respect everyone's view and perspective.

Timeline:
Degree: masters in aerospace engineering
Submission date: 17 Sept 2018 with upfront medical and bio. ( I used the one I did in india for both medical and bio)
Submission type : paper route
Linked my application on the third day
Eligibility review started on the 22nd October.
Approval on 2nd November
Time taken 6 weeks and 4days

Please may I know how you pay for Dalhousie acceptance fee while in Nigeria? The only option available is WU Global Business and my Banks(1st Bank and zenith) doesn’t offer such facility. I’m paying $2500 which I have to pay this week.

It is NOT mandatory you pay fees before application, but you stand on higher ground if you do, but never count on it.

Please Don't declare your intention on a Social media, "Say you agree you wont be sponsored". keep that to ursef.

If you are married and you want to study abroad living your family behind,...

1. You stand a Good home ties.
2. You have a high hurdle to explain how that Family you leaving behind will be supported, because you are going to school not work.

You cant travel or apply with a saving account that just have 200k (if i get you right), your cousin can only stand in for your accommodation and other things over there, unless he has a very well paid Job, she cant sponsor your education.

I will advise you stay back to work hard and save money, but if you feel you can try, please go ahead.

You need to show alot of Money my brother , For your education and what you are leaving behind, you cant put your family in stress panic because you want to travel for education, an Average VO will reason.

In the case of being sponsored, no need using a sponsor, You can go for a loan that you will repay in years as you study, a better option for your status.

Good day everyone. Kindly put me through on this. I hope to apply for a Canadian Study Visa (will be attending MUN). I am married and I have 2 kids. My cousin (Canadian citizen) promised to stand in as my sponsor with her bank statement for the visa application. Though we both have an agreement that she won't be sponsoring me. I'd source funds for the 1st semester fees before I leave, after which I'd rely on paying subsequent fees from whatever jobs I'm able to get once I'm issued a work permit.
The challenge I have here is that I really cannot have more than 200k in my savings account, and someone was saying that as a married man, its not possible for me to get a visa while presenting documents that shows a family member is going to sponsor me. He said my marital status makes it difficult bc they'd expect me to sponsor myself.
Can someone help to clarify this?
This is my true situation and I'd like to learn from those who have had similar experiences.

Don't be too sure.
Purpose of Visit could be due to something he/she wrote in their SOP or application.
Always insist on GCMNOTES.

Sorry for the delay. This is easy to tackle even without ordering for GCMS. Purpose of visit is basically to proof to them that you are a genuine student going to study after which you are coming back to ur country. When writing ur SOP, let there be career progression i.e ur undergraduate study must be inline with ur proposed study or if you are working, ur line of work must relate with the course you are going to study. When u tackle this, then u are good to go. A quick question for u, did ur Eligibility review start before ur refusal or it was just on background check throughout, ur reply will be appreciated. peace

My dear, Just wait for it to come, There is nothing like Conference visa, Maybe you mean Short stay/Visitor Visa, it is valid for 6months if it is single entry or till expiration of your passport, which still means you will leave Canada after 6 months to re-enter anyother time.
Just relax and wait for the outcome, you should get your visa by Monday Morning.

I remember when i applied for Visa in 2017, VFS was empty from start to finish of my applying and submission, i remember going to as the security man if there was anyother VFS Canada?, He said No. This was at silver bird Abuja.
In 2018, I was there with someone to apply, and we were there at about 7.30am, we went upstairs and we took our number, we were number 75, I went berserk, It was crazy, though that was in May/June, quite understandable.
The numbers hasn't reduced now, as the craze for travel has sniffed from US to Canada..... Sincerely , lets stay back and build Nigeria.

Then it should expire by 2021, unless otherwise stated as a reason in the sheet , it should be till expiration

My Visa was approved last week and I received a correspondence letter this morning and a counterfoil yesterday.

I will like to make some clarifications on the correspondence letter. I have submitted my passport for the visa but I haven't gone to collect it back.

1) the expiry date on the counterfoil and correspondence letter reads 30/11/2019. Is this the same duration that will be stamped on my passport? I am starting my program in Jan 2019 and the duration of study exceeds this date.

2) the correspondence letter also reads that I will be issued study permit at the border. What is the difference between the study permit and the Visa I was issued?

3) the correspondence letter also reads I have to be in Canada before 30/11/2019. What happens after this date? Even if I am in Canada. Do I have to start applying for visa again?

Pls someone should enlighten me on this as it's really bothering me.

Too much denial isn't very good for you.

Your CGPA is not very good, but good.

Stop applying for diploma, it reduces your chances.

Get a school that would accept you GPA, if it means applying to as much as 10 schools, definitely one will give you admission.

The most important part of all is funds, don't even take chances, find FUNDS, i say Find FUNDS!!!

You won't know until you try, Admission is first, Then Visa is secondary and the Most Important hurdle (Assume it is the hardest part)

Therefore, in physics we say , the White paper is "negligible" not "equating" GCMNOTES

But sincerely, I still feel your whole explanation still equate GCMS Note is a detailed version of White refusal paper because the applicant got to know the reason why both Purpose of Visa and Travel History were ticked. And I feel it's here that almost everyone has concluded that most if not all Purpose of Visit refusal is relating to only Program of Study.

At the end, we will still say that GCMS Note and White paper both highlight the same reason(s) for refusal ONLY that GCMS Note is more detailed in terms of explanation has to how the reasons were derived. Unlike what @Vibrant99 was saying that there can be different reasons stated which is totally wrong.

All in all, if refused please get your GCMS Note. Goodluck to us all.
