European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by vicade(m): 4:59pm On Sep 01, 2008
So city, real madrid and united are all in for berbatov.
Sir Alex seems to have lost his focus in the transfer market and i think( though not certain), it is because carlos queiroz has left. remember it was carlos queiroz that signed ronaldo with his connections even when wenger wanted him then and carlos os very good in all this kind of stuff.United typically should have avoided all this late drama. Now their strike force of tevez, berbatov and rooney could be worth about 90 million pounds in transfer fees and they call chelsea big spenders.

7 hours to go
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by vicade(m): 4:53pm On Sep 01, 2008
I just heard on sky sports news where the presenter said real madrid are have placed a bid over 30 million pounds(presenter said 36 and a half million pounds)  to buy berbatov so as to free up a move for robinho to chelsea. Keep your fingers crossed .Real madrid is after all a bigger club than united.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by vicade(m): 4:48pm On Sep 01, 2008
How much did sir alex pay for tevez? manchester united might just have the most expensive strikers in europe in terms of dign on fees if they sign berbatov
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by vicade(m): 4:19pm On Sep 01, 2008
Berbatov is great but for man city to pay over 30 million pounds is just too much and how old is he by the way?

I reckon david villa would have been better but yet again Sir alex knows. he wont sell saha to everton unless he is absolutely sure of a deal going through. Berbatov is only great because he is a proven premiership striker. there are better strikers out there.

berbatov by the way has scored 46 goals in 105 games for spurs according to SSN
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by vicade(m): 4:13pm On Sep 01, 2008
Almost every club is in the news except arsenal? The last i heard was daniel de rossi and a loan offer for metzelder. Anybody has any news? huh

Hannibal:
Dimitar Berbatov is already @ Carrington Complex with Ferguson.
Whatever Fergie WANTS, he GETS. tongue
I just heard that too on sky sports news. Although same sky sports news are saying mark hughes hopes to meet berbatov later today.IRONY if you ask me.Guess the next eight hours will be decisive. The presenters on sky sports news also said that it is possible sir alex has someone else up his sleves. Only time will tell. Under 8 hours to go.

Over to the gunner thread  grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by vicade(m): 4:00pm On Sep 01, 2008
If man city have actually offered over 30 million pounds to break the british transfer record, then all spurs have to do is reject all lower offers including offers from manchester united. so it is either berbatov signs for man city, stays at spurs or fergusson matches manchester citys bid and signs him.

Fergusson is to blame for all this. he should have wrapped up the deall long ago. Spurs were right to hold out and now they have more cash thanks to the new guys that just bought man city this morning. I guess sir alex thought this was going to be easy like the carrick situation.

In a nutshell, i believe berbatov will enventually sign for manchester united but sir alex has to pay the price
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by vicade(m): 7:33pm On Aug 30, 2008
And Nasri carries on the other proud tradition of the Arsenal no.8 - the yellow card.

Like Ian Wright and Freddie Ljunberg, he'll do well with us. cool
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by vicade(m): 7:29pm On Aug 30, 2008
Eboue played good today.

Nasri is also a class signing. Hleb who? But i hope wenger signs two more players at least one. Cant wait for diaby and rosicky to come back and stay injury free. Great result.

@ Dayokanu,

Back to Wayne Rooney. . . .
I just showed statistics proving Rooney has scored more club goals than any German striker in the last 2 seasons.
You should know better than to open your bacteria infested mouth when comparing players.
If Rooney is shyte like u claim. . . . . He wouldn't be recording 20 goals per season.
Rooney(41 goals in 99 games)

08/09 0 goals in 2 games(this ongoing season)
07/08 18 goals in 42 games
06/07 23 goals in 55 games

Mario Gomez(49 goals in 67 games)

08/09 5 goals in 5 games (this ongoing season)
07/08 28 goals in 32 games
06/07 16 goals in 30 games

Get your facts right son. grin grin grin grin tongue tongue tongue tongue

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hviIG8eS-8&feature=bz303. PAUL SCHOLES HAND OF THE "DEVIL" Trying to emulate Maradona "HAND OF GOD"

grin grin grin and he is supposed to lead by example. Poor paul scholes.

I have said it before and i will say it again,United is nothing i mean absolutely nothing without Ronaldo. I trust ronaldo, the game would have changed.he would have nodded the ball or dived or taken a freekick or dribble like five players you know

Ronaldo magic. And some united fans are telling me tevez and rooney are more important that ronaldo ?

Ronldo is the best and even we the Arsenal and all the chelsea and liverpool fans know that.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by vicade(m): 11:46am On Aug 30, 2008
There are only two players i can imagine wenger buying now:

Miguel veloso or Xabi Alonso. I hope he gets one of them.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by vicade(m): 11:16pm On Aug 27, 2008
I can't wait for the globetrotting carlos vela to come and show his stuff. Going back and forth to mexico to play games must be having a toll on him

Theo walcott is my man of the match

Wenger promised a signing before the twente game. I hope this signing is still forthcoming. The midfield still looks bare although Nasri and Walcott are showing good signs.

It is like Gallas is doing a better job scoring goals than defending against them. grin

@ Nateevs,

Go and sip some dull TEA!!!!

If u are watching this game, u would know Crouch/Defoe partnership is not working.
This is a team without Giggs, Ronaldo, Nani and Hargreaves.
And you are leading 1-0? Now that is what i call depth  of a squad only if---  undecided

Good observation there about Clichy and Sagna. If anything ever happens to those guys,Arsenal is sunk grin

maybe fergie should buy Sagna sef   lipsrsealed
If anything happens to Roon and Ron, united is sunk
If anything happens to gerrard and torres,Liverpool is sunk
If anything happens to John Terry and Cavarlho, chelsea is sunk

fergie buying sagna is like liverpool buying vidic
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by vicade(m): 8:38pm On Aug 23, 2008
Fair play to FULHAM, they held on and this is what happens when eboue plays in a fabregas position.

Nevertheless, a new midfielder, the return of fabregas and Rosicky and Nasri might be an improvement. Our midfield today was our greatest problem but it's all good. 36 cool matches to go. cool

Once again, Fair play to FULHAM and a much needed improvement needed from Arsenal.

why did vanzekin come out? he made life easy for dima ria. Adeleye, the naija defender was closing in on him  but vanzekin just rushed out. Another bout of youthful excuberance eccentricity from vanzekin. But nothing dey happen.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by vicade(m): 5:07pm On Aug 21, 2008
Vincent Kompany woud have been a good signing  but he had his own fair share of injury problems last season and he has no premiership experience so it is hard to tell if he will fit in even though he is a great talent. For every signing, Adaptability is a key issue.

Walter Samuel was great and is still great in the Italian league but was a calamity at Real Madrid.

Good news traore is going on loan to Portsmouth. I hope it is only till january and not the whole season.
