I will like to see Messi Play in the premiership and Ronaldo in the Spanish League. Only then can we truly tell who is greater but my money is on the south American. |

brein:Obvious in the context that we lagosians and nigerians as a whole realise that this is what is on ground and truth in that it is the reality. The people in Newyork or wherever who will read this article and who this article was targetted at can't find it obvious. Imagine London for example, with the ferry transport, rail,Underground and Bus transport, there is still traffic at rush hour. Now imagine London had no underground, no rail and no ferry services. Even the rich man in Lagos feels the effect of the environment and the stress not to talk of the common man. Hopefully Fashola will continue his good works and Lagos will be great. Eko o Ni Baje. Are you dying to live or are you living to die? ![]() |
This is only the obvious and the truth |
U are getting things mixed up here. No man would marry a beautiful woman with a lousy character just like he will NOT marry a worwor babe with the character of Mother Theresa. The question is. . . . .WHAT COMES FIRST? Can u look at a woman across the street and DETERMINE she has a good character? HELL NO. The beauty gets to u first before u check what her attitude is like!! If she is now lousy, u move on to someone else who has a bit of both. Beauty and Good character can co-exist!!!!
Yeah but Beauty is TEMPORARY. she will get GREY and OLD and MENOPAUSE. Good character neither gets old nor grey . Some girls just have good character that oozes out while most dont have and most of this most are very very pretty girls. Believe it or not a girl with a good character will be beautiful for a longer time than a girl with just physical beauty. |
chika98:well looks are more probable to change than personality. tope2000:well that is a first. most girls will go for the tall, handsome AAND RICH guy who serves her breakfat in bed during courtship and turns her into a punching bag in marriage. |
tope2000:well he still loves her weight or no weight. I personally look at character before physical presence when looking for something serious. Unless it is a one night stand, i dont see how i would put physical presence before strength of character. Physical appearances are common et la figure 8 and temporary but a girl with a strong and good character is priceless and everlasting that is one thing you dont see every day and that is what keeps you going. |
with all this orobo and lepa talk ? I have an uncle who married my aunty and she was lepa and pretty. afther the second child she blew up as in she became orobo. so what do u do in this kind of situation? There is more to a woman than her physical presence and if any guy does not know that then he is not a man. |
I also know a friend who has the same problem and although i have a graduate job which is nice, i am also considering going back home next year. This friend of mine like myself came to the UK for masters immediately after NYSC and has just completed his masters with a Distinction but it has been difficult for him to get a job since august. he read human resources management. He got a call from standard chartered bank Nigeria to come for an interview in Nigeria and he is very keen. Currently he is waiting to sort out his post study work visa and go back immediately he gets it. However he had to claim 3 months work experience in the company i work with my number as a reference just in case they check(but in most cases i know about they never do) Another incident is a girl working at carphone warehouse as a sales assistant and modified her cv to exagerrate her role. she was offered a job by celtel early this year for 7 million naira and training in south africa. Imagine not t-mobile or even Orange, Carphne warehouse. I agree with kokruna,You have to sell yourself. you have to modify and tailor your cv and people looking for jobs in Nigeria are also very smart just a matter of opportunity. In conclusion, i think the best decision is to go home after obtaining your post study work visa and just go to the UK for shopping . After all it is naija, there is always a way out. We go ruff am and nobody can deport me from naija. as i am now, if i get a job that will pay me 300k per month or even slightly less (which i am praying i will get), i will quit my £24000 per annum job and go back home sharp sharp with immediate effect .True story |
SistaSista:It does smell cultish. And as i said earlier in this post, you should only have faith in JESUS , the one who died for your sins, and if members of christ embassy are taught to have faith in pastor chris(which most of them do), then they should reject such teachings(which most of them don't) At the end of the day, there are no economy or lower class seats to heaven. we are all going first class. I don't see why i should be loyal to any pastor. No pastor ever died for my sins. The problem i have is where to draw the line because a pastor that says he hates Poverty and will never be poor in his life; where do you draw the line between prosperity and humility? ![]() And lets be serious,i can understand paul imitating christ and his works but is pastor chris imitating christ? WIll christ wear a Rolex?I dont know.I am not judging.I am just curious .I ain't no theologian but i know JESUS was very humble . |
Most of them are always waiting for their perfect textbook finished product guy and they never seem to realise that some guys are raw material and they are the ones that are required to make the guy into a finished product thus they are responsible for tailoring the guy to their specification and likewise to the guy but alas they will keep on frontin and since thay have money they are secure. If there were not finacially bogus, there might be a need to secure this by getting hooked up with someone that can have it guranteed. |
, i was in church last week in christ embassy London where someone that attended IPPC in Nigeria was giving a testimony about the seminar and said a pastor , Reverend ray who is the secretary general of christ embassy was preaching about loyalty. And he said you have to be "loyal to GOD, JESUS, and our father". He further went on to say that "their" father is Pastor Chris and loyalty to him will bring glory upon our lives. I have said it and will say it again, the followers of christ embassy are more controversial than the man called pastor chris, A classic example is the man perming his hair-I see nothing wrong with it and he can do what ever he likes to his hair. But when male members of the congregation start perming their hari because their father is perming his hair then who do u blame? Another example is the fact that most christ embassy members quote their pastor than the bible so u would rarely hear" According to the word of GOD" rather you hear " PAstor Says in so so Tape or sermon" I have no problem with pastor chris. he is an intelligent man and his sermons are brilliant but his healing school ministry should be open to independent media houses if he has nothing to hide .I have been watching benny hinn who is also an intelligent dude but his miracles have been debunked by the US media and his style is just like pastor chris but yet again ONLY GOD KNOWS WHO IS TRULY SERVING HIM. SHALOM Will Jesus wear a Rolex? |
Eboue has absolutely no technique but he did not deserve to be booed. He had not played for 5-6 weeks due to injury and he was played out of position. I dont know about you all but playing a right back in the left wing position is just ludacris. |
Whats best about that answer?? Does the accidental AIDS virus have a different strain from the Cheat AIDS virus?? HIV/AIDS is the same the world over. I am sorry for her condition, but it just wouldnt work. what if she is your fiancee and she had an accident while u were driving and she lost a lot of blood and was dying. she was rushed to a nearby hospital and for some bizzare reason, she was given an unscreened blood during blood transfussion. Only for her to get the virus and all the events that lead to it are to your knowledge? would you still tell her: I am sorry for her condition it just wouldnt work. :'? Just remember u could have been the one in her shoes. |
naijaking1:whether i preach it or not does not matter. Is there one Nigeria today is the issue?Just imagine if Pakistan and India are still one country. This is not the first of such kind of riots and SADLY, it MIGHT nt be the last. I am a yoruba boy and i am not dating an igbo call or anything so i have no bias towards the igbos. Only stated the obvious |

@Topic First of all find proof to ensure he is cheating. No matter what you think or the writing on the wall or all that inspector gadget rubbish or what your friends tell you , you need solid proof/evidence not speculations, not the so uncommon common sense ;not somebody who said somebody said they saw him and if u do find out he is cheating,Move On with your life. He is not the guy you used to know. Just move on and hope to get someone better. Such is life. |
A Possible solution to this kind of problem is Inter ethnic marriages but will happen anytime soon? No. Will a chrsitian marry a muslim girl in a church? More likely if they are both yorubas. WIll an Igbo boy marry a muslim yourba girl? Not likely, Have you ever seen an Igbo marry an Hausa? Quite Rare. And believe it or not there are religious and thnic discriminations that people live with everyday in Nigeria that are worse than these riots. They say No Pain in dying they say but to be discriminated against in your own country, How painful is that? ![]() Riots are the ones you see and i don't see these riots as a Problem but as a consequence/Result of an Underlying problem which is the lack of integration across religious and ethnic lines. The NYSC was supposed to address this but alas, it failed. Will an Igbo man ever be president? No disrespect but we are likely to see a black prime minister in the United Kingdom not because it is right or encouraging but because that is the result of the system called Nigeria we live in. |
@ Topic According to the wise words of Bob Marley, Your woman is gone (woman is gone), Your woman is gone (woman is gone). She had left you a note hanging on your door: She say she couldn't take it, she couldn't take any more. The pressure around you - just couldn't see; She felt like a prisoner who needs to be free, , She's gone (she's gone), she's gone (she's gone), she's gone (she's gone), she's gone, ye-ah! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=38cl3Ju8g4E On the other hand, True Love is a test of Time and u better get a lot of calling cards. ![]() |
JosBoy4Lif:Half of a yellow sun is a great novel about the biafra war. The best novel i have ever read. It made me look at the biafran situation in a new light. It is a story about Love, Hope, Tragedy and Comedy. It is semi-fiction i think. Look even if all the islamists kill all the non islamists, there will still be problems. Islamists/Muslims also have factions you know like the Ahmadiya, ansarudeen, anwar ul slam ,NASFAT and all that.Even the IFE/Modakeke stuff is an ethnical example and so is the IJAW/Itsekiri incident. The key is Tolerance and Patience.KIllings of such are bad, but how we react to such killings could decide if such a situations could be even worse which was what i think happened in the case of the biafra war although betrayal also played a part |
fayahsoul:Good for you. clap for your self. Happy Birthday I bet you any day , anytime a product of your so called Nigerian glorified high schools in Nigeria will kick your A** . What do you know sef? Empty Barrels make the Loudest noise oshi. Shior. Olodo. |
My Ancestors have always been Yorubas before the creation of Nigeria and i deem myself a Yoruba boy then a Nigerian. Igbos are cool and hard working but the biafra saga has done more damage than good to the igbos in my opinion I think you guys should read Half of a Yellow sun-It is a great novel. |
