why would you  relocate from Nigeria to come and live in bed and breakfast? or squat for a long period of time If you are visiting that is a diffeerent story but relocating?

Nigerian qualified Medical doctors i know  work in tesco,sommerfield and all that because until a few months ago the law aloowing them to practice in the UK was very very strict especially with work permit and some other stuff.

And i see no reason why you should say i am very daft. That does not seem very adult like. There are nigerians that also earn £400 per day as business analysts and they relocated from Nigeria.

And whymost  people consistently do odd jobs here is probably because they don't have a visa or their visa has expired and they can't get a good job and don't want to go back because they have been here for long and have nothing to show  And i do live in my parents house with my siblings and the house was paid for by my parents but i don't see how that makes me less of an Adult.

Just for the record i attend christ embassy bermondsey,Old kent road ,London.

If i was not sticking to the word i will have left the church way back but i focus on the message and not the messanger and i don't answer to chris oyakhilome and i will not defend him, i will only defend my faith and belief in JESUS christ. But as a member of the church i have to agree with some of the comments made by the poster of this topic because they are just common sense if you open your eyes.

I have no doubt that GOD is powerful but i can not put my faith and trust in the hand of any pastor which is unlike most christ embassy members i know personally.

Pastor chris is intelligent and his analysis of the bible is outstanding and the services are awesome but JESUS is the master and only GOD can defend him which is another thing most CE members don't know. I don't ask questions about GOD because i have faith  but pastor chris is no god at all so Kini Big Deal

A lot of graduates work at Sainsbury and Tesco packing shelves or working at the tills, is this right? Did they need a university degree for this?

Why do you think the amount you as a graduate need to be earning, before you have to start repaying back the student loan is set at £10,000/annum, and this is because the government knows that some graduates would not earn this much An amount someone with GCSEs could easily earn [/quote]That is why i wont mind going back to Nigeria if i get a job from here but i am happy with the company i am working for  currently because i am getting valuable experience and not working in Tesco and i am learning a lot,  I am fortunate because i had no need for a student loan or need to do any menial jobs. These were well taken care of.I live with my siblings and the house expenses and morgage stuff is taken care of . I even have an interview with standard chartered bank nigeria in januray which i am strongly considering even though i have no idea how much they pay even though i will be more interested in the role they are offering me, Even my parents are putting me under pressure to come home to work but i have to see what happens.

The problem i have with the Uk is the Racial Bias/Discrimination. They select the best colour for the job and i am facing challenges where i work and we are only two blacks there. The credit crunch is also not helping matters. woolworths is about to go into administration and there are more job cuts everyday which makes it difficult for others to get a job.

A guy earning 4 million naira per annum in oceanic bank in Nigeria in the same position may be better than me cos of all the tax deductions and all that but at this stage of my career and my age career aspirations and experience is more important to me than Money earned. How am i defensive? I am a naija boy and only stating the obvious. There are nigerians working as cleaners and security at Tesco and O2 centre and there are Nigerians working at PWC and Deloitte as professionals.


People make it in london/UK and go back to naija to be big after cleaning floors in London probably to fund their school fees while others are just living from hand to mouth in london.

London is tough but quality and hard work is always rewarded .

The miserly way of life in any country is terrible and i am yet to see otherwise so you are only stating the obvious.Unless you believe the miserly way of life in england is worse than Nigeria then it will depend from what context you are looking at it.
England is lovely .If you have a house of your own you can turn on the heat or water heater 24/7 as long as you pay the bills. Go to peckham or Dalston and tell me which nigerian food you can't get. why will you even want to eat english food? i can understand chinese/ Indian/Kebabs but english?

If you can't afford to pay for your heating then whose fault is it that u dress like an eskimo or freeze to death. No food or heating for lazy man. There is no place like Naija but England is not as bad as people say. You can be a cleaner to pay your bills and attend school but that is temporary. Quality and hard work is lawys rewarded.

And most people who find it tough over a long period of time are those who lack relevant documentation and are stuck in the country. That is another topic entirely.

If you have sound qualifications and you are hard working and can back all your qualifications in the case of any assessment, yyou are good to go in London cos quality is rewarded. Other wise, you can either be a cleaner or fraudster to make ends meet in broad contextual terms

I must confess that most of his teachings(Pastor chris) are very intelligent but i look a the flock of christ embassy and i just have a feeling something is not right.

I stand to be corrected but chris oyakhilome is not half as controversial as the followers of his ministry. They seem to see chris oyakhilome as an intercessor or something like that and the only intercessor is JESUS CHRIST MY LORD AND SAVIOUR.

I believe in the Word of GOD and i will never ever answer to or believe in any man of GOD. I answer to only GOD and my GOD is not a confused GOD.

I have faith in JESUS and not any pastor but based on actions of members of christ embassy i know personally, i think they have faith in their pastor and would o all out to defend him. Sir john may be right or he may be wrong,but miracles must be verified . For example, when i was in Jss 2 my best friend had only one ball/egg in his scrotum and he needed an operation and all that but he had to be of a certain age which he had attained. He was to be operated at ST. Nicholas hospital i think. He went for the holy ghost service at the redemption camp and Pastor Adeboye mentioned the case and declared him healed during the service. His dad checked immediately and he had two balls/eggs. They had even paid for the operation . His dad brought him out later and gave a testimony.

That is a miracle not a mickey mouse i have neck pain or i have migraine/wheel chair  stuff that cannot be verified.

If anybody needs to get injured, it should be William Gallas .I will like to see either Silvestre or Djorou get a run alongside Kolo Toure .

We need some height in our team and our fit tallest players are currently strikers-BENDTNER, VAN PERSIE,ADEBAYOR and only one even  uses his head. We need to get Diaby and Djorou/silvestre in there to make up for the likes of Walcott,Nasri and Fabregas or else we will continue to be bombarded aerially specially Diaby.

I mean how do you expect DENILSON to defend a corner kick against someome like Peter Crouch or Kevin Davies. Diaby has more presence only if he stays fit

Guys don't be carried away. we won 4-0 but it could easily have been double figures. we missed some glaring chances et la Nasri,walcottt and even eboue. Did any one see eboue doing step overs? we were lucky to miss all those chances when we were leading comfortably. If we don't take MOST of our chances in matches, i see more results like that against hull on the horzon.

Bendtner and vela are coming through and that vela skill and bendtner dribble was great.

Waiting on Diaby, Rosicky and Eduardo da silva. . Then we go teach them soccer provided nobody else gets injured.

I know it is early days but i think eduardo and vela are the best FINISHERS we have got.I might be wrong but that is what i feel based on the performances i have seen from last season, pre season and this season.

Carlos vela especially, the third goal he scored against sheffield tells the whole story and if you can remember the goal eduardo scored against man city last season-the overhead kick, you will feel my point.

Too bad we lost yesterday. Mathematically we are a point ahead of united but we have not played any top opposition which give me concern. I will give anything to be where we are now. To all rooney's slaters, he  covered up a lot for gary neville though he is to be blamed for the chelsea's equalizer for his sloppy play, he did prevent didier drogba from scoring a back breaking goal. Is rooney now a right back a defensive midfielder or a damn striker. I pay 25 million pounds for rooney i need him to score goals. If you conceede goals and you score more than you concede, job done. Wayne Rooney's job is to score goals and not defend them(that is somebody else's job), so stop consoling your self, Rooney is a class player but he is suffering a serious loss of form by not scoring goals. I know the goals will come sooner or later but this season is not last season.

And i have continually stated, until rooney scores 20 Premier league goals in any season, he is not any better than Yakubu Aiyegbeni in my books.
