@VC Justice
so if she had 6 months or more left on her visa would it be possible for me to help her with arrangee marriage then and divorce her after 6 months?
YES, if she had 6 months or more left on her visa or residence permit, then it would be possible for her to marry in the UK, and NO, you can not divorce her just after 6 months, it would take at least 2 years before you are eligible to apply for divorce, and might take a very long window period (time) for the divorce application to be approved. Some people in legitimate marriages have waited for more that 3 years for the approval of their divorce applications even though they are seperated with their spouses.

TravelRe: Arrangee Marriage by Vicjustice: 3:53am On Feb 17, 2010
If my knowledge is accurate, i think the girl is not eligible for marriage in the UK because, under the UK law, in order to qualify for a registry, the remainder of a non citizen's visa or residence permit must exceed six month before expiration. In this case of a one month remainder before expiration, i'm afraid she's not eligible to apply for registry in the UK; you guys would have to do that in Nigeria, but that does not guarantee her a visa, though.
My advise: Every risk is worth taking if the benefit outweighs the sacrifice, so, i advice you to balance the sacrifices and the benefits in a sensitive scale of probability and decide your conclusion: and remember that you have to be safe to save someone and that you can not rescue a drowning person while you can't rescue yourself lest both of you drown together.

You people don't seem to understand the poster's English; follow his posts carefully and you would see that he was trying to explain that he got his passport back from the embassy "with the visa intact", he didn't say that he got it back from the Immigration officers. He explained that the passport was seized by the immigration officers who threatened to arrest him if he wouldn't leave without it.
But why do we waste precious time giving advice and suggestions to an apparent unscrupulous element with the username Murat, is this not the same syndicate who has only ten posts, and yet seven of the ten posts were about fraudulent visa and passport offers of which six have been deleted by the moderator except for this quote:
Murat:
IF U WANT TO GET TURKISH VISA OR CYPRUS VISA EMAIL ME AT get2ak1@yahoo.com
With this calibre of a self acclaimed visa agent that he is, isn't it obvious that the travel document that this Syndicate tried to use for the trip was tempered with? Lets use our common sense.

Guys am kind of boiling with anger and desperation. i got a visa to study in one of the EU countries. i was about to travel, i took with me the admission letter, flight ticket and even Bta and to my surprise when i got to the airport, after the usual screening and obtaining boarding pass, ı was stopped by the immigration officers and their reason being that i have a virgin passport. I told them yes that it is a virgin passport and am about to disvirgin it, I even try to sort out, they collected the money and withheld my passport, I missed the flight and couldn'tget my passport. What do u suggest i do!
This brief story that you narrated here is not enough to cause you that much trouble. And yes, there could be some daring acts by immigration officers, but not to the extent of making you miss your flight while they still hold on to your travel document. there must have been something more than the ordinary involved in your document or with your activities. Perhaps it's a resemblance stuff?

Siena.
A friend of mine has a fiancee in the Uk., they both have a daughter and expecting another child.
his fiancee comes to nigeria to visit him regularly.
he has applied to the Uk in the past and has been denied twice( one on visitor and the other on student)
he was also deceived by some visa touts to apply on another name as he was desperate to attend his daughter's naming ceremony 2 years ago. the embassy got aware of that and still denied him visa and he already finger printed.
Now the fiancee wants him to come visit in the Uk and she is on benefits so that means she cant sponsor him to come.
he is self employed now and has funds in his account.
How does he goes about it. the fact is the fiancee is a Uk citizen as well as his daughter and they are expecting another child and he would like to attend the naming ceremony because the fiancee can't be coming to nigeria regularly again due to measures put in place by the Housing council to monitor people with benefits.
Will he be able to get a visit visa. what are the requirements he will need.
House pls help
Actually, with the situation that you explained here, though the subject might not be aware of it, but he has been banned from obtaining a UK visa for ten years, it's only when he applies again that the ban will start to count, such is the situation with anyone caught with fake or misleading documents. Therefore, it's advisable for him to keep his visa application fee because, there are many reasons for unsuccessful outcome.

To Sandee: Thanks for your input, I will probably definitely fly straight into Port
To Noble: You are right, Lagos does rock and i will miss shopping there! LOL
To Shilling: I did not want to take a connecting flight either. Air France and Lufthansa both just do a stop, one in Lagos and one in Abuja and then they continue on to Port

Thanks again everyone for your input! smiley
My friend, that's not the case, neither Air France nor Lufthansa make transit in Lagos or Abuja: flying from the United States to any operating airport in Nigeria, there's usually only one transit which is logically in the home country of the airliner, and once the transit it fulfilled, the rest of the trip in direct flight to the destination city. These international airline companies do not have the licence to operate domestically in Nigeria.

Hello Everybody,

My name is Yemi, and I currently work with a Visa company that can help you secure your UK visa easily, the company will be the one to advise you on what to do to get your visa this is 99.9% guaranteed.

You can reach me on 08038610083 or moroz4real@yahoo.co.uk .

Thank You and Regards,
Giving the benefit of doubt for reason of (the yet unverified) business address, i'm still concerned about the exaggeration of the success promise of 99.9% which seems more or less a deceitful claim to lure unsuspecting people into it: mind you, not even a minister of the federal republic can be guaranteed a 99.9% visa success how much more an ordinary person. The poster did not categorically state the type of visas that he solicits for neither did he state the kind of people who are qualified for the visas; therefore, it is questionable that he can help anyone to obtain any kind of visa and the success rate is 99.9%.
And besides, is it not appropriate for such a company to operate with landlines rather than a mere mobile phone number?
I'm of the opinion that any company (whether registered or unregistered) that advertises its goods or services by involving means of deception or exaggerated facts should be suspected as fraudulent

There's a lot of money in the nursing industry, this makes me wonder whether these figures are true regarding her financial state.
Nurses with their lucrative and reputable jobs are capable of inviting anyone into any country, but with this questionable financial situation of your niece, i advice that you give up the visa application for now until the financial situation improves because, you will not be issued a visa with such bank accounts.
TravelRe: Paying Emirates Airline Ticket Via Credit Card by Vicjustice: 4:41pm On Jan 27, 2010
Oh, sad news, Here's an update: There is a BAN on the use of all versions of credit or debit card issued in Nigeria as well as the use of any foreign credit card to purchase any outbound reservation from Nigeria, therefore, you can only use your credit card to purchase tickets of which the origin must be from outside Nigerian: For example, you can use your UK credit card to buy a return ticket from London to Lagos, but not from Lagos to London, and you can not use a Nigerian credit card to buy ticket for any route or destination whatsoever. this is the stance of Skyteam (which is an association of all major airliner in the world). sad

Please has anyone gone inside Emirates office in V.I to pay for a ticket using a credit card? Holding an American credit card, I was turned away. The reservation was priced in Dollars. The agent said they have never accepted cards. But 3 private travel agents claim they should have accepted it.
Will the airport accept my credit card to pay for the ticket?
But if you have credit card, why don't you log on to their website and have the ticket booked by yourself, I don't have business with travel agents, i book every of my trip myself (with my credit card) and i find best offers; or is there something i'm missing?
TravelRe: New Security Measures: How Safe Are Body Scanners? by Vicjustice: 9:54pm On Jan 10, 2010
I'm a little concerned with this development, but still, this particular scan which many people talk about as having "dangerous radiation" and carcinogen substance, is by far safer than flying with a terrorist on-board. Mind you, except for other factors, your risk of getting cancer for reason of this scan is 0.1% as long as you're not passing through the scan on daily basis, and even if you are a frequent traveller, your exposure to the ray is brief, making you safe with it.
But Ayo dear, you've always been a fearful flyer, i think this should be the least of your worries or have you gotten over your flight phobia  smiley wink cheesy grin?

TravelRe: Just How Tough Are You ? by Vicjustice: 2:25pm On Jan 10, 2010
Well, i must be honest to say this: last Tuesday (5th January), i boarded a train from Belfast Central to Dublin Connolly, and i found my comfortable seat in the middle coach. Without bothering to look at fellow travellers, i took my seat just two rows before some guys that i paid no attention to. As the journey progressed, i didn't realise that the 2 guys (who were sitting two rows) behind me were speaking an Asian language until i heard "al'lah akbar, alla'h akbar", the guys seemed to be giving praises to Al'lah pertaining something favourable. I turned to look at the guys, they were bearded and traditionally dressed and one was carrying a sort of traditional bag similar to those of hare Krishna. Oh my goodness, I've never been so frightened before by mere thoughts of the unknown possibilities, i thought i had to run away before bomb-blast prevents me from doing so. I wanted to be a little more polite in my action, but the fear was real there and delay could be dangerous; so, i took my mobile phone out of my pocket, and by pretending that i was talking to someone else in the train, i took my hand luggage and dashed out of the endangered couch to another coach at the far rear of the train: You know, in every bomb-blast news, we hear things like 12 people killed and 99 people injured, so, i thought if there would be a bomb-blast and if i must be affected, then let be among the injured howbeit, not severely

I was denied UK visa in 2005. When the e-passport came out I got it in 2007 with same name, different age, different address. I thought I am from Lagos but later realised I am from ogun state; I thought I was 30years old by 2005 but later realised I wasn't up to that, my birth wasn't registered (maybe becos I was born at home) and my parents are illiterate. I luckily met my aunt who resides in Benin Republic, asked her some things and she related my birth time to some events around 1982, I didnt grow up to know my parents, Those are just reasons why I didnt know my identity really well.
In 2008, I got my first visa (German-schengen) I travelled and I came back. This year about 3 months ago I got second visa (Austrian-schengen) I travelled and came back.
I am planning to go to UK maybe next year. I need advice on how to go about it with all the facts available above.

BusinessRe: UPS Courier: My Frustrating Disappointment by Vicjustice(op): 11:39am On Dec 01, 2009
   UPDATE: 01/12/2009. I MISSED A TRIP   [b]
After filing and filling my claim forms to UPS London headquarters, i waited impatiently for their response, and i later received a phone call in which a lady acknowledged the receipt of my faxed claim forms and that their insurance department was looking into it. But after that, i heard nothing from UPS for several days until i made a phone call on which another lady crudely advised that i'm not entitled to a right of claim and that the claim should be filled by the shipper in Nigeria. To me, i think this is fair enough, but why have they wasted my lacking time and efforts by sending me the claim forms and making me do the paper-works when they should have known who should be doing them?
In the form that i filled to them, i attached a personal letter with copies of my family travel tickets addressing the needs for UPS to respond urgently since i booked two holiday trips with my family using my Nigerian passport: one was a return trip to Riga, Latvia for the 30th of November (which i've just missed), and the other is for Lagos, Nigeria just before the Christmas which is also at risk.
And after the last conversation (which i narrated in my previous post), i knew things are going to be more complicated: how come UPS Nigeria never bothered to contact the shipper (not even once) to inform him of the lost of his own package which he delivered to them for safe postage? However, i instructed him to contact UPS nigeria and proceed with the claim.
Meanwhile, the state commissioner of Police had ruled that as long as UPS is a legitimate corporate body, the matter is therefore considered a civil case and that no arrest would be made except UPS arrests its own staff. Actually, the CP is absolutely right, i knew it should be so, but it was on the advice of a solicitor that my brother tried to involve the CP.
An interesting event occurred when the shipper went to the UPS office in which the postage agreement was originally made and demanded to see the management, but the counter staff who knew about his plight tried to counter his demand, saying that he got no business with their manager. But he challenged them with raised voice which the manager heard and ordered his staff to let him into his office.
The management was surprised to hear what happened and was very bitter that their staff had not lodged any report entry about the incident, he promised to investigate and prosecute whoever perpetrated the act. This development made me understand that the UPS staff that collaborated and stole my package must have been relieved while i was busy corresponding with London regarding the issues which would have seen them being punished had it been dealt with in Nigeria. . .

Now, the shipper has refilled and re-filed the claim forms since (on) the 20th of November to Lagos Headquarters, but he hasn't received a word from UPS, not even an acknowledgement response. He will be going to the office again today.

Its the most shocking thing he had to deal with cos he had been a devoted hubby and most of all a God fearing christian, he thot his spouse was the same but found out some months back and it finally sanked in this month when he confirmed his fears, She is doing it with an ex b/friend, who is now a big boy from niaja on visits primarily to sleep with his wife and to make matters worse, this naughty person is married back home in naija,

Abeg siena, good pips, lawyers et al in the house, opinions needed very urgently, so as to move in on them fast b4 he leaves the u.k
Sharia laws do not exist in the UK, so, while it could be recognised or determined as a sin, it is not a crime to have sex with whomever she pleases regardless of her marital status except:
(1) The sex~patner is a minor
(2) The sex is done in public or in inappropriate places
(3) It is done under threat (or by force)
(4) It is done by taking advantage of a partner who is mentally unconscious
(5) It is done with the intention to deliberately pass HIV or other diseases to her partner
(6) It is done with a partner who by law is under constraint (such as a confined prisoner).

So, in my opinion, your Cousin's best bet is to:
(A) Either forgive her and move on
(B) Reconcile with her without forgiveness for the sake of the kids
(C) Divorce her peacefully and marry another wife if he wishes: Remember, as a Christian, adultery is the only ground that gives you God's permission to divorce and marry another spouse.
Please, he should remember that this is a very difficult and sensitive matter, therefore, our advice and suggestions here might not be as efficient as His own wisdom. So, whatever your cousin decides to do, let him do it wisely, not taking the matter physical otherwise, the accuser might become the accused.
