There are rich guys who fall helplessly in love with average or poor girls. Likewise there are rich guys who are very calculative and prefers a rich girl or girl who im papa rich and is connected. Or some may truly fall in love with a rich girl.

Similar thing that happened to the op, happened to one of my male friends. His gf was in love with one Malay guy .
