If, The Presidency is offered to either Oshiomole, Okorocha or Fashola with a Northern VP, and the other governors in APC coalition given either senatorial seats or good ministerial positions then hey may be able to unseat PDP but it won't happen.
The North will either Present Bhuari or any other Northern candidates as President and they will lose again
Forgot to mention that APC has NOT being Registered yet and may not be.

Let us step back to understand our political history. The North never beleives in Nigeria unless they rule it. In the first republic, they formed a party called Northern Peoples Congress. NPC , they pretend to form NPN in the second republic, and it metamophised into PDP and only 'loaned' the south (south west) after the Murder of MKO Abiola to pacify the Yoruba people. OBJ learned the hard way that the North never believs in ONE Nigeria unless they are the President.

Fast forward to today, APC is AREWA PEOPLES CONGRESS to use as platform to 'elect' a Northerner to get their 'loaned' power back as they are 'BORN TO RULE'

Is most governors in the South not better qualified than their best man Bhuari?

Nigeria going our separate way would be the best thing thatwill happen for the ordinary common man in the South. The south development will be exponetial.

I think GEJ advisers are mixture of little men who don't know how to make a case even for a bad case as ALAMS, they took a very bad shortcut.

On another thought, ALAMS used to be GEJ father, and he needed to repay him, without ALAMS there can be no GEJ. The North has also not help GEJ because they are busy trying to unseat/unsetled him and NOT allow the country to work. The battle line for 2015 is being drawn because all the forces in the SS will be out in full force as the North are preparing to unseat GEJ.

Anyway, the NORTH are never sincere. Look at those lists of people pardon, they are politically motivated full of southerners in a fathom coup.

Under the law, this above post is the most sensible post on this thread. For lay people, when you register a company or tradename or trademark or patent by submitting all necessary paperwork, it does not matter what the other 'bigwig' intentded doing. The guy who registered APC is the proper APC and Bhuari, Tinubu and co are just not as smart as they think.

I infer from the OP that the couple lives abroad, and they are both yorubas, unfortunately, the 'equality law' overseas does not allow husband and wife to work together, they always work at cross purpose, especially the women becomes liberated and want to have their ways. Take for instance, African women especially Nigerian women want the man to pay the full bills and still help them in the housework and for he woman to keep her own full income, and also because the state will provide for single parent, the woman think they don't need the man. Infact it is better for them 'in money terms' to be single parent and not considering the phsycological costs to the children.

In my own opinion a woman is the one who always build the home if she wanted to, if she want an exit,she will set up he stage like an actress. Modern women life always comes before their children not to talk of their husband. The OP should ask his wife for quiet one on one meeting to see if there is joint beneficial solution as oppossed to the one that only benefit the wife and try professional counselling but the OP should tbe on the lookout for sign of someone who has already make up her mind to end the marriage and he should not invest to much energy and emotions on an effort that is bound to fail . I do not have time to really coment on whether or not we have competent drug trafficking fighting agency. They haave already damage the case before it started, just like EFCC.

I don't also know how Nigeria legal system works presumably Drug offences is a federal matter BUT to go to ABUJA HIGH COURT for something that happen's in Lagos and get 15 more days to detain says something about NDLEA than the suspect.

Infact, they appears to be looking to plant something on him, if they cannot find anything on him, they seems to have made a mistake and cannot come to accept it.

Rep Aliyu Sani Madaki (PDP, Kano State) in this interview with out National Assembly correspondent, speaks on reasons the PDP members of the House defied the party and voted Tambuwal as Speaker. He also speaks on the fight against corruption in Nigeria and other issues. Excerpts:


[b]You were one of the members who played prominent role in the emergence of Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as Speaker. Why did you defy the PDP and voted for him?

As you are aware our party, the PDP, had zoned it to the South West and adopted Hon. Mulikat Adeola-Akande. I came to National Assembly in order to promote competence and the same thing applies to most of us. So we were looking for somebody with ability and who can change the image of the House. The National Assembly has integrity problem with the Nigerian people. There is this belief by most people that we are self-centred; that we are only concerned with our allowances. So when we came in we wanted to change this mind set and the best way to do it was to elect a competent person as our Speaker and it is our strong belief that Tambuwal embodies these qualities. We thank God that we have him as our Speaker and it is our prayer that he will not disappoint us.

And everybody saw his humility when he went to the party and apologised to them. It may sound absurd but it was the right thing to do. He said he didn't do it to disrespect them but to answer the call by his colleagues who asked him to come out and contest.[/b]





There is belief among some Nigerians that former Speaker Dimeji Bankole is being persecuted for his alleged support for Tambuwal. Do you subscribe to this school of thought?

Unfortunately the answer is yes. Most of us in the National Assembly and most Nigerians believe that former Speaker Bankole is being treated the way he is being treated simply because he assisted Aminu Tambuwal in becoming the Speaker of the House of Representatives and that is why I earlier said you do not fight corruption that way. When you fight corruption, you should fight corruption in such a way that every discerning Nigerian will agree that you are fighting corruption.

But if you start fighting corruption because this man is an enemy of my friend, I do not believe Tambuwal is the enemy of anybody. The way I see Tambuwal, he is somebody who can work very well for the interest of the nation. He is very humble. He is not coming to rock the boat.

I believe we should fight corruption by fighting corruption. Not fight corruption by being corrupt ourselves because when you fight somebody just because he assisted somebody and you take him to court, you are not fighting corruption. Believe me, you are helping to strengthen corruption and that is the issue.

Our brothers from the North are full of dishonesty and fraud.

When it suits them they argue for Zoning, when they seems to have  majority of votes they argue for 'competency'.  If it is the North west that PDP has zoned the speaker position to , hell will let loose if it wasn't given to them. Did we forget that the whole of the North was about to explode because an Hausa/Fulani man did not win the Presidency.

The North has an hidden agenda and they will never stop. come 2015 they will have power back and will never let it go again.


Bankole was being persecuted to rubbish the SW to give the Speaker position to the NW. He was not in a positio to support or not support Tambuwal. he is o longer in the House or has such influence. He is a one time speaker of the House.

The North are always crafty and pretend and swear in the name of allah deceitfully.

The entire political set up in the NORTH are pure FRAUD and they will always disguise it in form of Zoning when in essence it is 'BORN TO RULE' and they will use religion and region to intimidate and use almajiris to do their dirty fight pretending that they are fighting 'INFIDELS'

Take the example of SW, the second largest ethnic group ( even by the magomago population count) has no stake on the table, and the SE is all deputies.

The grand scheme is to surround GEJ with all Northern people to 'kill him off' when they are ready as if he killed YAR A'DUA.

Nigeria is a joke country until we go our own separate ways we are just foling each other, and our leaders are simply sharing the National cake.

If you just say goodluck, he might just think you are calling his attention, so you have to say

Unfortunately majority of our politicians, governors etc have dual nationality, either British or American.

Most should remember Yar a'dua's daughters during their father sickness were all going to the USA to have babies so that they can get BLUE passports for them.

Nigerian leaders are the least patriotic to the point of utter failure to show leadership. If they don't beleive in the country, how can they persuade the young ones to believe in the same.

IMO, the election is NOT free BUT , fair.

Bhuari using underage voting to win in the North (CPC stronghold), GEJ doing ballot stuffing in the South, especially SS and SE.

However, If we apply the result of SW (which is more representative of the 'true' election) then GEJ still won the Presidential election.

Bhuari gameplan is to use underage voting etc to 'win' majority of votes in the North to force a runoff and use religion and region to divide Nigeria in the run-off to win the Presidency.

The problem of Nigeria is not GEJ but lack of proper oppositon party with structures around the country and political ideology and manifesto people can understand and identify with.

When you form a political party 6-12months before a major election and hope to beat a 12 years old party, it is called FOOLING YOURSELF.

Like Yar A'dua election, he would still have won without rigging, GEJ will still have won without rigging but CPC may sneek through the back without PDP ballot stuffing insurance to nullify the CPC north underage voting.

@ LAGOSBOY,  i Commend you for your constructive criticism. I have been following Aregbesola and the 6 point agenda, and I am worry that this may be  VOODOO ECONOMICS.

I have total the sum paid to this youth for 'engagement' as the Governor put it, and it came to N400m per month or N4.8B a year. what are the corresponding returns for 'such investments'. If the 'engagement' makes at least the N400m per month, it will be a money well spent, and it will even be better if the income is above N400m per month, which means the scheme is profitable.

My view and instinct is that the Governor is still unsure of what exactly he wanted to do even with the 6 point agenda to bring the finances of OSUN and the employment of her youth into good shape after PDP of Oyinlola borrowed massively in the last year of that Administration.

TIME WILL TELL. in about 2 years, it will be clear if his administration is REALITY OR VOODOO ECONOMICS.

I don't seems to get it clearly, but if what you are saying from that part of the constitution is that the 2 times governor can contest as a deputy governor, and 'something' happens to the governor of which the deputy (now third time) can now become governor by default , the the constitution should be looked into.


I think that is not the intention of the parliament at the time because it will be allowing 3rd time by back door. Anyway no Gubernatorial candidates will take such a political risk and calculation to choose a two time governor to be his deputy. It is like chooses GOODLUCK to be your deputy It is political suicide that even the most unknow opposition will use to win election from such party, and the whole populace will cry, and matter will go to court, and no previous 2 times governor will like to be deputy unless there has a hidden agenda.

In theory YES but in practice NO.
