This government is chasing shadows. Apart from politicians, the youths are in deep poo. High rate of employment and hopelessness is driving the increase in criminal activities.

The root of criminality is what a good government should be uprooting rather than arresting all the youths who see a bleak future.

On another point, if your leader is not educated or value education, can he teach the importance of education and development that guarantee the future for young people?

Please, be rest assured that I do not condone any criminality whatsoever.

If someone attended a university and obtain a PhD but the education did not pass through him, that is when questions are asked.

Did this person or that person actually went to school?

Waec certificate or not, or even all the 'military qualifications' Buhari does not come across as somebody who went to a daytime school let alone a leader.

He has zero capacity to lead, unfortunately Nigeria is divided along Tribal and religious lines.

Just maybe one day, we will get it right but for now, we are dealing with bunch of opportunist.

How I wish we can be really united for the good of our nation.

You have a good thinking BUT one nation or one Nigeria can only work if the 9% people stop thinking and acting BORN TO RULE. Using religion to deceive their own people, and try to force that religion on others will never work. Mind you, these people are not from Nigeria originally. They came to conquer Nigeria using religion as their tool.

How can the police get so low in desperation to cripple all the political opponents of Buhari for heaven's sake?

How on earth will a senate president who can collude with some top shot callers to empty the treasury resort to robbing a bank?

How those that make any sense?

Does it mean that if any common criminal allege that Obasajo or Innoson is their sponsor, the police invite them via the media without extending a formal invitation for questioning?

Ah lord. This nation is in ruins.

GBAM.

The reason why it was said that the youth are lazy is because they are unable to think through and do a simple research like you have stated above.

We have under a democratic system of government in a federation, three co-equal branches of government. The executive which includes the police and the dss, efcc and other law enforcement agencies. Then we have the legislative branch which represents each constituency to make law and be an oversight on the executive, and then the judiciary which adjudicate the laws and behaviour of the executive. Unfortunately the executive has been behaving badly with executive rascality appearing to be above the law.

We have in power an irresponsible incompetent illiterate. Excuses is the only thing that they are good at.

If you win elections by propaganda, you cannot govern successfully by propaganda.

After 3 years, no result, they needed to divert attention to win another election. Over to you Nigerians. Are you better off now than three years ago ?

Nigeria is an interesting country full of Zombies who cannot think clearly and you will notice that we are producing more comedians than crude oil on daily basis.

I don't know whether or not God has spoken to Primate Ayodele to ask Saraki to contest for Presidency BUT without the beer parlour sentiment and gossip, Saraki is far more qualified and Presidential than Buhari, Atiku and most of the people who has thrown themselves into the ring or close to it.

If Buhari is `Mr. Integrity` it's clear that his integrity and war on corruption does not touch his own friends and the FULANI supremacist.

I think Buhari clearly after nearly 3 years of a 4 years term has failed woefully that his thinking of contesting clearly showed that he is after all another opportunistic politician, if not an outright conman. All they have promised, if you apply 80-20 RULE, even if you are trying to be generous have not delivered 20%. The Bmc and Sai baba brigades will start talking of GEJ, as if he was still in power. If Nigeria voted out GEJ for non performance, they have not voted excuses in its place.

Do anyone remember Fela, the great Prophet, everything he has sang about has come to pass.

For the anti Saraki brigade, he has not been found guilty of any wrongdoing by any court of law. Infact, it is save to say his arraignment before code of conduct tribunal is a persecution because he outsmarted Tinubu group to become the Senate President. When he brought the npdp to win elections for APC, he was not corrupt but now that he want share of the political spoil, he is corrupt.

APC is a party birthed on lies and propaganda and they will die of the same.

If Saraki is corrupt then he may know how to fight corruption because your current President who is `NOT corrupt` hasn't got a clue on what corruption is and cannot fight corruption. He is as corrupt as corruption. If you are Mr integrity and spent around £30 millions to treat yourself abroad. Then we all Mr. and Mrs. Integrity because we have not spent £3k of taxpayers money to treat ourselves.

Corruption is when you are not physically fit or has the capacity to govern and you keep doing it for the position and whatever benefits it may bring. Using undisclosed amount of money belonging to the people without disclosing the amount spent or the ailment is corruption.

If it must be a Northerner who must be the President, then at least get a young educated and intelligent one.

Politics / Re: "Restructure Nigeria or We Leave" Punch Advert by Yoruba Elders by vigasimple(m): 10:04pm On Jan 22, 2018
nextstep:

Uh huh... and none of them will be willing to take up arms and lose their lives to defend this secession they are planning. Did they consult with the millions of people who will die (due to starvation, violence, illness) before making this irresponsible advert? Will they volunteer their own children to fight for the cause, or will they put them aboard planes for the safety of someplace abroad?

How long will our leaders at various levels continue to stoke the embers of violence from the comfort of their air-conditioned homes, and in some cases, from the safety of some European city?

And it's even worse: a Yoruba federation will find soon itself fighting for supremacy, just as Yorubaland was in the midst of a long period of civil war from 1830s to 1886.

The main thrust of the article is unemployment. Why not channel all the monies from these so-called leaders into creating factories and opportunities in Yorubaland? Is restructuring or secession going to automatically provide jobs and create industries? Can people from Yorubaland not sacrifice and not import foreign things (starting with rice, tin tomato), and instead promote locally-produced goods, no matter the quality? (at least to start). Is restructuring or secession going to automatically provide jobs and create industries? What about all the diaspora? Can't leaders in Yorubaland create special zones/estates for returnees to come and contribute in safety?

Let's even assume that the process will be entirely peaceful, and we can sidestep the years of violence and needless deaths, the funds to build/rent embassies, mint new currency, establish/convert parastatals, etc. to basically start a new government from scratch... could that not create a few really big factories to provide employment? Could that not provide loans to farmers to improve their yields? Could that not establish world class hospitals and research companies?

We like to howl restructuring and breakup far too often, because we don't really think through all the pluses and minuses. Even the money for this advert could have been better spent as grants to 10 young men/women to start a few garri-processing SME.

With all due respect, you come across as a pessimist short term thinker.

The country has endured the present system for over 50years. Maybe it is time to try new thing.

The people asking for restructure are all well over 65years, so, not only they have the experience, but they are in their retirement years, they are fighting for the youth future.

They have set out their points and warn them Yoruba youths not to vote for a joke called Buhari, they did not listen, now they are paying the price.

A one million Buhari cannot rescue the youths of Nigeria because he hasn't got what it takes to do so.

Kudos to the Elders. They have said there own on record, whether or not the youths follows , it is their own future and it's up to them.

There is a stark illogic to the assertion that GEJ's incompetence justified voting/supporting Buhari. It's like saying we should vote or support Fani-Kayode or Rochas for president, if they ran, because Buhari is incompetent. There is no logic to supporting what should be an obviously unsuitable candidate to remove an unsuitable president.

A problem with the Buharists in the run up to the 2015 election was the gusto with which they painted Buhari as the second coming of a messiah. This was not a message of vote for Buhari because GEJ is awful, but vote for Buhari because he is what Nigeria needs.

I think with people like you, there is still hope for a new Nigeria. Cutting your head of is not the remedy for headache, and that was precisely what majority of people especially from the south did when they think Buhari is a solution to 'clueless GEJ' it doesn't work like that. You cannot replace incompetence with super lazy analogue incompetence.

For anyone who understand how Nigeria works, the 2015 election was about power going back to the North to the BORN TO RULE. They just package and sold it to the educated illiterates down south about how Jonathan was the most corrupt than Abacha that passed away and Abdulsalam,IBB or OBJ.

Where are all those corruption monies running into trillions of dollars, where are they kept or used for?

The whole idea of seeking another term to be re-elected was if you have performed well and delivered on your promises. We are close to three years of this administration. Any honest person knows it's all propaganda and photo paparazzi.

You can continue to do the same thing and expect different outcome. In a proper society, that will be termed INSANITY?

Are you Insane? If so, vote for a Destiny thief and time waster again.

Why I will Dankwambo in 2019.

Buhari can't use EFCC to harass him with court injuctions because he's a sitting governor. sitting governors have immunity.

He's 55year old, Buhari is twice older than him.

He's healthy, only suffers from malaria and headache, unlike buhari who has legions of demons inside him and travelling to jand like a witch with Apc broomstick everytime.

He's detribalized, never has he made tribalistic comments like Hell Rufai and Buhari.

I school in Gombe but from the south and Gombe is developing infrastructurallly.

Ibrahim Dankwambo owes no civil servants or teachers.

He's erudite, strong, agile, young.

Apc and buhari tsunami that swept entire North in 2015 never affected him, he firmly won his election under PDP beating his opponent with over 120,000 margin.

he's an accountant and seasoned technocrat at federal level, having been former accountant general of the federation under OBJ and Yaradua, two men who positioned our economy for good, hence i think he worked with the best hands and has enough experience to turn Nigeria away from this Buhari induced hardship.

Nigerians, I'd like you to welcome your next President-elect by 2019, Hassam Dankwambo.

In Nigeria, especially in the North, we vote by tribe and religion. Anyone who is not Fulani we struggle to win in the North. I don't know what tribe he is, but if he can publicly agree to one term with Yoruba as his VP, to match APC, fire for fire to enable SE to takeover in 2023, then he can have enough spread to win. Kwankwanso and Sule Lamido both Fulani and Muslims from Kano and Jigawa with Yoruba VP will knock out a joking party of APC

Nigerians deserve the type of leaders they get.

Fayose May not be a perfect person BUT with all due respect, far better than Buhari. If you search your true conscience and not tribal or religious you will agree that half strength Fayose is better than 200% of Buhari as it is.

That said, there are many better persons in all the geo political zones than Fayose, certainly many more better than Buhari.

In my own humble opinion, Buhari is a monumental failure.

If the power must stay in the North, there are very good candidates other than Buhari, Atiku and other usual suspects.
