rman: I hope you know the current practise is based on christian practise. What rubbish! If you do advocate religious tolerance, then you wouldn't have blindly suggested that there are only two religions in Nigeria. How about we base other things on fairness by completely scrapping the damn Sharia law and Islamic Banking system? |
why not change the weekend to Thursdays and Sundays since Sango worshipers do their thing on Thursdays? or do they not deserve to weigh in this "religious balance"? It is stoopid thoughts like this that gives your brothers in the North more excuse to wrap dirty bombs in their caps! Islam nutters should get a grip already. why must we all keeping taking it in the arse just for you to have your time? You have your own laws, your own banks, wtf do you want again? Your own calendar? You know what, Fuck You! The calendar is what it is, love it or move to damn Venus! |
The only thing i consider madness in this case is the system that keeps people locked up awaiting trial for 13 fucking years...Is this even a country we have at all? Justice is not served by making him await trial for his crime...Justice is only served when/if he is found guilty and punished accordingly. What is perhaps even more gutting is that the rubbish newspapers we have have chosen to ignore these outrageous human rights violations and focused on mundane talks such as TB Joshua's predictions or Mo-Hits break up. We really are insane as a collective group of people, even the thread was focused on his mental health than the obviously more important issues. What if it wasn't Orji? what if it were someone who got locked up for trivial non-punishable stuffs like Insulting the village's "big man"? A corpse as they say is just a corpse until that corpse is your pops!!!....the same system that sees nothing wrong in holding a man for 13 years without trial is still here and the next man may just be someone very close. |
The only people thinking Okonjo Iweala has a good shot against a United States nominee are African nations whose votes count very little....and the media whose frenzies are unleashed with every minority campaign--- she's a woman, she's black, and she's smart roll out the drums, afterall it's how the current President of the USA got his job! But things don't work that way when foreign governments are involved and the outcome is largely dependent on the strength of your foreign policy and the lobbying power of your government. The United states have people in its payroll who are gods at lobbying with and bribing foreign governments. Ultimately, the question Chinese/Indians/....(feel free to put whatever country here) will be asking themselves will be "What's in it for us"?...the answer to this could be anything as mundane as a "wink" from the US president to something considered honorary such as a dinner invitation to the White house. Even the Russians who are natural enemies with Americans are smart enough to know that a disapproval of the United States candidate may be quite costly diplomatically especially when the choice is a nominee from a government who doesn't really pull so much effect anyway, again..."what's in it for Russia"? Pick up the List, start with Great Britain, to France, to Germany. . ."what's in it for them?"...Nigerian government wouldn't take any offense if they choose not to vote her candidate, the United States government will take offense....You don't bet against the United States and win, whose side would you really want to be on? We all know that Okonjo Iweala is very smart and all that stuff...but this is not a game of the smartest or the most experienced, if it were, then people like Joseph Stiglitz will come first in anyone's books, No? |
She now has a chance.Questions: what country/countries will vote for her? what are the voting weights of these country? why will they vote for her? That Kenyan man - OBAMA will be put to shame veru very soon. We all rejoiced for him during his race, but what has he done for Africa? Nothing at allThis is just very silly. |
If anyone thinks that in the run up to American elections, Obama will show weakness by allowing his nominee to lose in a position that is almost always exclusively reserved for Americans, then that person has no idea what world politics is all about. US holds the largest votes, followed by Japan with a combined total of 25 percent!!! More likely than not, Europeans will play American games...and the man called Kim has made trips to China, India, Brazil and Moscow armed with a strategy mapped out by Timothy F. Geithner and several other treasury officials who work on global issues. Hear Kim: “You would find in me someone who asks hard questions about the status quo and is not afraid to challenge existing orthodoxies,” He added, “I do not come to this election with a rigid, ideological approach. . . . As an anthropologist, I am trained to value local context, institutions and the interconnectedness of individuals and the broader economy in which they live.”That's a long pace for the Woman whose country continues to harbor the largest population of Africans living under one dollar per day several months after being sworn in as the Super-duper Minister! |
Phonon: Nobody is asking the right questions. How did he get the ammunition through security onto an aircraft that left the US for Nigeria? Is he a member of the US Diplomatic Corps here in Nigeria? If he is (or was) then it must have passed through immigration in a diplomatic bag.If not, this whole thing is plain STUPID!The US Military always makes sure their personnel face justice in the US and not on foreign soil. This whole thing does not add up.That's just bollocks! Members of the United states do not have diplomatic immunity from arrest and prosecution from a foreign country, especially when they are not on assignment or serving the US interest or being held for political reasons!!! If the dude is breaking Nigerian law, United states cannot claim jurisdiction for his arrest or prosecution. @ post, I don't know if there's any way for an ordinary citizen (not a soldier, policeman, security operative, etc.) to obtain a license to carry guns in Nigeria but I got the impression that one couldn't just do that anyhow so I'm a bit puzzled by the way the story makes it seem like he could have obtained a license. Does anyone know if just anyone can get a license? There's actually a way for an ordinary citizen to obtain license for guns. In the snipped attachment below, the 1990 constitution states that individuals can own fire arms if granted a license by the President or the Inspector General of Police.

Jakumo: If this man is in fact a serving US Army major, then he will be released before long. US military personnel are often REQUIRED to carry side arms for personal protection, regardless of whether they are on or off duty. Given the current wave of suicide bombings recorded over the past year, Nigeria is one of the countries where such security precautions will no doubt be prescribed, so this purported "offence" will be handled in that light. This information is NOT factually correct! US military actually does have a very strict process for individual possession of side arms. Ordinarily, a military officer in the US may buy and own a firearm like any other civilian, but you can't carry this with you everywhere you go. As a matter of fact, you will be arrested if you are caught carrying a personal side arm in a US barrack without the approval of a provost marshal. In combat zones or during special operations, a few US officials, mostly medics are allowed to carry registered firearms that must be returned to the arms room after operations. Neither the US nor its embassies will put up an official excuse for this dude; as a matter of fact, if the US military requires him to carry a side arm while in his hometown -- a situation that is very unlikely except if he was there on special assignments--- the US would have obtained approval from the Nigerian government. Nigeria is a sovereign country with its own constitution! All that said, I'm still looking around for information on how one may obtain license to carry arms in Nigeria, if anybody has this, it will be very helpful |
I could also stay here and rant all night if i wanted to...Seun says that's okay! But i really can't find a need for that as I do have a busy life. Goodluck with your clowns in the future. Like really does attracts like. |
Facebook has gone past a networking scheme with full details and pictures of family and friends complimented with the new timeline feature...it should be the last place to meet strangers, not the first! But then hey! if works for you, then that's completely fine. Just try not to bore the rest of us with threads on how someone you haven't met before couldn't detect sarcasm or take a simple joke. That's why there are over 7 billion people in the world with completely unique DNA strands. |
What kind of person adds as friends and chats with random people to begin with? ![]() For pete's sake, if your life was busy enough, you wouldn't be found engaging in needless vain conversations like "Tell me something funny about yourself" with every weirdo that has got an access to a computer and an internet, and then log in on a forum to create a thread about "Facebook madness". . .Facebook isn't mad, perhaps you may be the one needing to check your mental health? |
Troll, in last 4 months you've opened 5 different topics on Nigerian men.

Sagamite: These fcking moorons always think they are humorous. Not exactly a pleasant sight, but i wouldn't be pleased by anything less either. |
queensmith: But being prude when it comes to food isnt normal? You've assumed your habits to be normal britons don't spend minimal amounts on food, thats why there is soo much of it. I think the average mean is £5 if i read the last survey correctly. So anything below that will be considered low quality and anything above a luxury.I'm not certain i understand where you got your statistics from, most of the people I know actually prefer to do their cooking by themselves than "eating what they see", and i'm yet to see anywhere a survey puts anything below 5 pounds as low quality. Food is about the cheapest things in Britain and the average Briton will probably buy their foods from either Asda, Tesco or Sainsbury's, if you do your shopping at these places, and if you are probably the type that doesn't find a need to eat all the time, i can't see any reason why one must rake up a hundred pounds a week on food bills. The fact that the average person in Britain earns less than 1500 pounds a month makes living this sort of lifestyle a bit unbelievable---I'd say impossible if you live in London! When I was a student I remember being the only one amongst my friends that cooked. They tend to eat what they see. And order lots of pizza! Some order chinese every blessed day for dinner, that's not extreme at all. Unless you will consider a whole nations diet extreme??When i was a student and i wasn't bothered about paying lots of bills, i could very well afford to gamble with lots of money whenever I chose to, but then again, this is not likely representative of the average students that may have to pay their through their nose for their term bills and on several occasions working on the side. Those ones couldn't afford to cultivate an extreme dietary culture. |
queensmith: Cereal is for children, and most people dont have time to sit and eat breakfast at home.I guess it may be safe to conclude that eating patterns/preferences generally vary. For some us, we don't tend to find a need to respond to urges for food all the time. Today, I've had chicken, potatoes with some smoothies in the morning, cost me 3 pounds 85 pence. It's almost 5pm now and I still haven't found a compelling need to munch another stuff. Perhaps it's very possible with the way you've described and especially if lazying about on weekend may mean ordering 40 pounds worth of food for yourself alone |
queensmith: Now we are talking about 2 different things, healthy lifestyle and what is normal.I will be very curious to know what your feeding plans may look like. For someone who doesn't cook a thing it may be safe to assume that your breakfast may likely be either cereal, sandwich, or something from Mac (feel free to change this to any other outlets you like). This is a normal diet, all of which are very cheap!. . .a box of cereal will cost you 5 pounds and will definitely last a whole damn week! Lucozade, red bull & coffee? on a more serious note, i really haven't come across people who take a combination of these on a daily basis! red bull at sainsbury sells for 1 pound!!! I understand that many people often take the option of eating out at restaurants, but again, this is definitely not a norm, not at least doing so 4 times a week. Again, i get the part that you could easily spend a lot on food if you choose to spoil yourself a bit, but for many people this is mostly an occasional thing than a kind of lifestyle, in which case, one has to be some kind of greedy grub! Londoners generally tend to feed on foods that are easily prepared with an oven. |
queensmith: It is possible- not even difficult especially if your not the cooking typeI'm not saying it is entirely impossible, but there's definitely no way it can be described as a norm. As a matter of fact, you could spend a lot more than that on food if you really want to. I live in central London and I'm not even the cooking type, eating Domino's alone will normally set you back 15 pounds per pack, but then again this cannot in anyway be described as a norm. There are many nice restaurants where a good lunch will normally go for 6 pounds on the average after which you just feel really too filled up to have anything too heavy for supper. It's my firm believe that it's mostly only unrepentant grubs who are likely to end up feeding themselves with 100 pounds on a weekly basis. . .there's no way that can be consistent with a healthy lifestyle. |
What arrogant rubbish? If i know anyone single and spending 100 pounds every week eating alone, I'd slap them back to back enough to make someone get me charged for GBH!. .WTF?? are people simply living to eat nowadays or something? It's just utterly absurd! Most people i know whose busy schedule involves getting to work very early in the morning will mostly do with cereal for breakfast, a heavy lunch and a light dinner. Occasionally, you spend Thursday nights dinning with colleagues and Friday nights at a local pub for some beer. It's completely nutters to believe any of this will take your bills to 100 pounds and this is even in central London! If you are busy enough, you most likely wouldn't get the time to cook your yams (and whatever it is you may claim to be spending 100 pounds on) or visit every Nigerian restaurant on your street. I really don't get what certain people intend to gain by spewing untruths in a bid to appear well off on a faceless forum! Plus I have read a couple of times already where people mentioned that going back home is not an option, could someone elaborate on this? |
If your wife could stay in your friend's house for four weeks unbothered and your friend is bold enough to tell you to your face that your wife and him were "in" each other . . .then you may actually need to check yourself, I suspect you may have a pussy in the place of balls. What the fuck happened to the days when men were in charge of their house? ![]() |
Does anyone have information on the kinds of guns that are permissible for individual ownership and the process involved in licensing such guns? |
Brixtonyute: You sound bitter, and stop posting comments through your arse.He made his money from Angola, so what? We all agree he is stupidly rich, but comparing him to other people without having having the slightest idea what is net worth must be is just totally silly! |
bittyend: You need to leave Planet X and come back to Planet Earth. This guy outsmarted the judicial system, that's why he didn't pay that much. Are you okay? I ask this cos it does appear that you may need to lay off whatever pipe you must be smoking! Tell us in plain words, how much exactly is Fenandez worth? I do hope your answer to this will not be some sort of silly argument on how many private jets or private island he owns, many small hedge fund traders on wall street already own much of those toys. |
^^ You obviously missed the part where I include "Bankers". I blame Seun's new interface, it makes it harder to read simple things these days. |
strangerf: Its like that every where. Money talks. . .Rubbish! Where is everywhere? another plain silly attempt to mask the ugly tide of our corrupt system by making the problem a general case? Show me cases of British Bankers/politicians that got away with breaking the law simply because they were rich! I bet If Madoff were Nigerian, he'd probably be an OFRN bearer. |
@OP: If you think this is remotely funny, you may need to consider going for a check up on your mental health. You intend to gain hysterical laughing fits by posting pictures of private people on their wedding day taking completely out of context? That's just sad. Why not engage yourself in some activity that is more worth your while like watching porn or something? ![]() In the very least, if you feel you must upload wedding day pictures of people who would rather keep their lives private, why not entertain us with collections from your family album? |
Fenandez, Harry Akande, Sanusi Dantata, Micheal Ibru, all reigned as kings in the 80s and 90s. The world doesn't belong to them anymore. The word on the street is DANGOTE, go figure! That dude's net worth will smoke all em old monies combined together! |
