Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by violent(m): 9:47pm On Dec 30, 2010
The fact is that Nigerian army and the Naval force is the best in Africa. Go and ask south africa if they have ever heard of NNS LOKOJA and NNS BONNY
you talk of NNS Lokoja and NNS Bonny ?

Even the NNS Ardu, that is supposed to be the father of Nigerian frigates does not measure in to the South African Valour in terms of anti ship missile and surface to air missile!

I was trying to get out of the parking lot at Silver Bird a year and half ago, and then i saw this figure standing and receiving a call by her car, she had the shape, the height, the beauty and the class,. . . almost immortal!. . i was gobsmacked!

and for the first time in my 1000 years of existence, i simply watched as she finished her call, got inside her car and she drove away. . . i swore and mourn my loss silently

This is not the first of such attacks, and in all possibilities, wouldn't be the last, it is only a matter of time before Al-Qaeda recognizes the convenient "business" climate available in Nigeria, and by then we probably would have suicide bombers roaming all over the place.

Afghanistan is coming to Nigeria, extreme measures are required to stem this shyt in the bud!

I have no problems whatsoever with how many people get arrested, the more the better, security forces should be looking to arrest even their family pets.

If possible, a Martial law should be declared in Jos, and military outpost should be installed in every 100 meters, anyone or anything that has a connection with Boko Haram should be hanged and their dead body shot!

Islamic schools preaching extremism should be shut, their leaders should be hanged and their dead body shot!

I don't think Nigeria is that big to become difficult to find this guys, our country's intelligence is a farce, no president in the world will sleep while seeds of Al-qaeda  grow in its backyard.

Its so shameful, our country has gone to the dogs!----where is Abacha when you need a tough crazy leader?
If Egypt's military is so strong, how come Israel defeated them in the Six-Day War? The Israeli military captured the Sinai peninsula very easily. And Israel also defeated Syria and Jordan as well. Size does not always matter. That is something that I admire about Israel. They have the strongest military in the Middle East.
Egypt has the largest army in Africa, and the tenth largest in the world. Egyptian equipment and military technology is generally less advanced than Israel's, though it does have much advanced American and European hardware.

Its armored forces are a mix of advanced, Western-made and aging, Soviet-made armored vehicles. Egyptian soldiers are well-equipped and well-trained, but are inferior to Israeli soldiers in terms of weaponry and training. The Egyptian Air Force possesses a modern fleet of aircraft, but without additional technological modifications as Israel does, and the Egyptian Air Force is also outnumbered in terms of aircraft. The Egyptian navy, numbering 120 modern vessels, is comparable in size and technology to the Israeli Navy, but many of its vessels are inferior to their Israeli counterparts.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by violent(m): 7:55pm On Dec 28, 2010
If Nigerian military ranks top 3 in the list, then i shudder to think of how pathetic other country's military strength must be.  Our military don't even have access to comprehensive database or real time security feeds on internal and external issues.  We wouldn't even know if a missile is en route to the National Assembly {hopefully so} as we speak!

Warfare has  transgressed the boundaries of using numbers to defend your territory, your enemy could be a thousand miles away and bomb your árse down while taking a piss--that's what i call sophistication, that's what a trusted military should look like.

Egypt is the best African military, South Africa only come a distant second. Libya will take the third place.

Nigeria cannot even stand countries lie Lebanon, Nepal, Afghanistan or Philippines.

@OP.

Explain to her that you don't feel as strongly as normally feel and you believe that taking a break from the relationship will be in the best interest of you both!.
